I'm personally a big fan of basic - it's so overlooked as an option. I don't think any gene could work as well as blood basic on his secondary - sometimes simplicity is best! I love the inclusion of the wing silks too, it helps keep up the effect!

Kris may be an Ice dragon but is perhaps the most perfect Shadow rep I've ever seen. Her cold white-blue eyes actually do wonders to make the blues of her accent and fungus apparel pop, and props for finding a way to use the Starlight Guise that isn't a total catastrophe. Every color meshes well with the other and her apparel is to die for, and I love the sleek look her metallic gene grants her. Her colors are eye-catching and her genes are the type with nice crisp, clean lines that make her brights brighter. Bronze jaguar is a way underrated combination, and I love the use of the lei and flower crown to match the dark centers of her rosettes. Beyond that, the matching familiar is on point, and that art in her bio is absolutely kick-ass. Like, holy snap. The neutral colors of her silver flower apparel and the onyx seraph jewelry add to her visual interest without taking attention away from the halo which, honestly, looks amazing on her. Using it for its complementary color to her natural hue is pretty clever, and immediately draws attention to that smiling, happy face. It's nice to see such an attractive dragon who isn't riding the X/Bee/Stained train (guilty as charged). The neutral colors of the primary and tertiary work well to make the colors on the Noxtide stand out, and what luck that the green on her wings match the green on her eyes! I also love the strong contrast between the Python and Ghost, because NOTHING is better than a good, crisp, strongly contrasted Ghost gene to make a dragon great. Did you manage to snag her like that, or did you scatterscroll her? Because those are some DAMN fine colors. Aside from that, I have such a massive soft spot for earthy-toned tree dragons, so Meade is an obvious choice. Usually those Tree Warden hoods are so clunky and hard to use, but on her it seems so natural and great. Her attire gives her an awesome sense of personality despite the lack of a bio on her, and everything is coordinated perfectly. I also love the use of marigold flower apparel to balance out the Light eyes, which don't detract from her being a damn good Nature rep! Never underestimate greens with a nice fuchsia stain. The Crystalcourt Halo matches him oh so well and is, undoubtedly, all the attire this boy really needs. He's a keeper and a winner and a gorgeous little man, and you should be proud of this showstopping boy~ --- For whoever gets me, everything--be it my lair or hibernal den--is up for evaluation, save for my sales tab!

@Kogoruhn Before starting listing the 5 chosen ones I have to say, guardians are underrated, so let's show them! His colours do match nicely with the shadow aesthetic, plus XXX obsidian will always be elite dragons. I really like his genes, they're a combination I've never seen used together and I'm pleased to see they work really well! Maybe it's the triple obsidian giving them a hand, but they really look lovely and help create a monotone look with that lovely slighter light shades thanks to python and current. His outfit is rather simple but it works really well! Usually a look like his would seem unfinished (or is it?) but he looks amazing as is, I really appreciate how you work out your outfits, shows your creativity! His festive skin is one of my favourites and I can't wait to have it on a guardian myself, I just haven't found the chosen one yet, but Torque gives me hope! I don't know what it is, bit Reese has something special about her that really draws me to her. Again the outfit is greatly done, I especially love her bright pink eyes shining under the headdress. The combination of that with the antlers is really something else, I'm really digging her warrior vibe. Her colours are so lovely, I'm a major sucker for bee and that translucent effect it has, it really stands out for her. The wings look almost frail and it makes her looks like that's her weakness but she's definitely owning up to it and proudly showing it off! The ghost is a nice touch and adds really cool texture, on her it looks like a war paint and I love how the ribs peak out of the outfit and look like highlights! Gotta love that shadow Starmap too. I swear I don't just pick dark dragons... The greens and pinks really battle it out on this girl and I'm really digging the show. The iridescent leaf gives a lot of greens that match almost perfectly with the silks, which widens the shades of green on Lampyridae. The accent is a great subtle touch, I really touch she was an arcane multigaze but was surprised when I took a closer look, the plague eyes look just at well! The pink from the flowers, festive apparel and the sylvan piece make a good starting point for the Thylacine to look great on her and the Thistle grounds it all with its earthy, neutral tones. Overall another great dragon! I'm amazed at how terracotta and obsidian look together, plus terracotta python has the exact same colours of the kilt? I'm in looooove! Once again the apparel is not too complicated but it's clearly well thought-out and balanced, it doesn't steal the spotlight from Shala but rather helps her look like the amazing girl she is. I love me a retired warrior that takes on story telling (and bomb cooking), she sounds like she'd be awesome company. I can't wait to see her finished! Plague, infected dragon with ice prisoner aesthetic? Gimme. Her own genes would make her look completely different and that's another thing I really like about her. The berry spines that match her eyes and that pop out of the skin are a nice break from the black and Gray's and whites. Her apparel is, once more, spot on and rather simple. I think it's harder to make simple outfits rather than the full and busy ones and I really admire you for it! Her lore is heartbreaking and I'm eating it all up, her character development is really something else. I feel like she'd make a wonderful antihero!

She looks like she wanders desolate woodlands and takes whoever's lost back home with her, I like it! All those bandages, the highland and gem thief sets, and the clockwork wing guards give her this wonderful nomadic collector vibe. And the metal in the highland set also goes so well with the brass wing guards. And that Deep Seer skin itself is absolutely stunning, it truly makes her feel like a valkyrie of the deep. The greens and yellows look fantastic with the blush looking accent on the Butterfly wings. Gamemaster is something i can see her being, her apparel is fantastic! the skincent is gorgeous and gives her an elegant freaky look, like she's not a dragon but something else that is hiding in plain sight. the tailcoat and the hat go along perfectly, omg, makes her even more look like the Gamemaster she is supposed to be :D the purple coloring is perfect, somehow purple always seems bit mysterious and trickster like!

@Farvel You have so many pretty dragons that it took me forever to choose. Even as I write this up I'm still swapping out dragons because of cool color combos and skins. I didn't mean to choose only Wildclaws but uh.. you have a lot.And I did look through your HDen, but they still all came from the main lair XD 1- I try not to choose dragons who wear only skins, cool as the skins may be, but Zion is just so relaxing to look at. The smooth purple tones that are really dark at the top and fade away towards the feet, it's really nice. I checked him out in the Scry to see what he really looked like and that is most certainly a dragon I would have snapped off the AH in a heart beat. An ancient Pharaoh out looking for those who disturbed his rest and stole his gold. Maize Python gives him a beautifully antique look to go with his bandages.. err... wings. and his spider and the cobwebs, if not a Pharaoh, maybe a porcelain doll who's spent too long in the cabinet and has decided to go for a walk. The alloy wings match the purple spots in his petals, and the terracota capsule brought the PERFECT amount of brightness to the whole thing. @ColorBlindBrat When it comes to your lair, I can tell that you're a huge fan of Fae dragons. Of course, this might not be true, but you do seem to have a lot of them. I honestly have a weak spot for perfect gene/skin combos, so most of my picks have a skin. [/columns] [columns]This dragon seems to be designed after a wasp, and the outfit/gene combo really compliments that kind of look. The plague eyes also compliment the bee-like outfit, as many people believe bees to be evil. One of my favorite things about looking through your lair has been your really well done lore - it's always so creative and interesting. Speranza as a pearl stealer.. so freaky.

Claim! @Kalistys In a lucky turn of events, I get to return the favor of your previous top five review! It's going to be fun. So first impressions is this: Oh wow, that's a lot of active dragons... plus there's the den. But I am amazed at how everyone is dressed and accented and most of all, have very fleshed out bios, even a quick skim is a learning experience, since all your dragons are plant based, or associated with plants - if they have some sort of historical or mythological connection. And the names. The names are great. You have a lot of red-ranged dragons, sometimes in contrast, and sometimes as the main color for your dragons, and that's lovely. And that collection of primals, of course. Really nice. I just went through everyone and clicked on those I particularly liked. Even then, I had to scale back and close several tabs in my journey through your lair. Attire-wise, it does seem like she sports subtler pieces, and that is one of the best use of the spellwrought shardhide in an outfit I've seen on the site to date. Of course, I'm reminded a bit of B99. with how she has the bulldog hanging out under her protection. Also all those butterflies is just pretty. There's so much orange-green clashes in her, from her genes to her eyes, even to her lilyfowl. Who I basically stopped at and said Ahhhh about for a good long while, because she's Gorgeous? Plus that delicate gilding from her accent? Works to make her seem like some kind of fae creature. The kind that are terrifying, otherworldly and dreamy. His coloring and overall design is very reminiscent of a monarch butterfly, further helped by the filigree on the edges of his wings. I see that he's your clan's blacksmith? And if he designed those adornments himself, he is certainly very talented. I like the gold foot talons a lot, and how he bedecks himself in the golds and ambers of things from the earth. That said, the smoke trailing off the forejewels and clawrings reminds me somewhat of the plague in of Princess Mononoke.

A lot of it is because of that lovely accent! And nice floaty petals and bird. But her whole look with the black and white and the slight grey-blues really come together for something classic. The accent really dials down the huge contrast in the Piebald for something more elegant but leaves some nice hard edges on her legs where the genes peek out, and the seraph set was just made for this look. I've always found ringlets hard to use but I love it just like these, peeking out under clothes and creating this yummy extra detail... And I like the alchemy apparel to help break up all the feathers and also give a hint to her lore tidbit. This is just, a great combo of some of the prettiest apparel from different sets, the Light Fest stuff especially really takes the cake. I love the combo of the halo and her covered eyes, really adds to the mysterious feeling, and her neutral base colors are perfect to highlight the gold while also being interesting in the bold pinstripe and the slight red/brown/purple in Latte. And lastly... The accent! I have a soft spot for female Snaps but this one made me realize just how awesome Runes can be used as a focal point! I'm used to seeing it in more subdued glowy contrasts and busier primaries, but in a higher resolution of the Snapper and in such a nice color it really becomes special. Her apparel provides just the right balance filling up the rest of this lovely dragon canvas (and she just, really looks good in eerie cyan stuff.)
