Was the Arcanist watching her? She knew she was destined to served the Arcane god, but she was a little nervous whether the Arcanist would like her or not. After all, he was the god of her flight. Sweetstar kept on walking until she reached the Starwood Strand. She kept going. In the center of the glowing forest, she saw a lake, soaked with the light from the full moon. Sweetstar took a sip from the pool, the cold water sending a chill down her spine. She knew it was now. The Arcanist was calling her. It was time to go.[/I]

The night sky had never been so appealing to him. Almost at once, Darksoul longed to be in the shadowy sky. He wanted a chance to battle the Shade, something the Arcanist started. Exalted. It was a term that many feared for they were afraid of the Arcanist. Afraid they would be exiled. But those nightmares never seemed true to him. Darksoul wanted to be in the sky, fighting other flights. Arcane would dominate, and yet at the same moment have spare time to follow their hearts. He didn't want to be a mortal. He wanted to be exalted and rise to the ranks of the Arcanist. Darksoul tilted his head to one side. His parents had to stay in the mortal world of Sornieth, not able to experience the realm of the gods. They had to stay for the sake of the Arcanist's need for more dragons. That didn't matter. It was time to visit his sister, Sweetstar, who was the complete opposite of him.[/i]
