They're sleek and slender so they can slide through the small chasms of the canyon easily. They practice a venerable duty. They refer to themselves as "Sentinels of Bones" but folklore calls them Canyon Wyrms. If a great dragon dies in Dragonhome / on the Earthshaker's territory, the Canyon Wyrms carry the body to their domain and prepare a holy ceremony to merge that dragon with the Earth. The ceremony takes place after the Sentinels have gathered the proper materials. They gather herbs they grow in special gardens and light them aflame to ease the mood of those around, unique urns are made to contain the important pieces of the dragon's life before they go to Earthshaker, and special shrouds around the body of the dragon to signify their leaving one world and entering the next. Once the necessary things have been gathered the Sentinels begin their ceremony. Everything is done with a select few Sentinels humming their dirge of goodbye. Over the past hundreds of years, a huge temple made out of stone and bones formed there, the entrance is hidden in the cliff wall, creating a path into the underground world that the Sentinels of Bones call home. Those that walk into the temple are welcomed by the Sentinels of Bones and are treated like royalty. Many of the visitors to the temple do not realize that the Sentinels are considered Holy, because of their care for the dead. A common wyrm has a dark body with a belly that glitters slightly like the gems deep inside the breach. They rarely talk to others but on the rare occasions that they do they speak in a soft, whispering voice. These dragons are not adapted to the loud and bright outside world as a result you'll rarely find them on the surface of Dragonhome.
