Lore
Lionfish dragons are a beautiful subspecies that are equally deadly. Their spines, claws, and horns all hold venom that, with a high enough dosage, can kill even a large Imperial. It is why their wings, which are made of water, carry traces of their venom, distorting the coloration of the water around them. Some of them have poisonous tips that glow, giving a stronger deterrent to enemies.
These dragons are hunters of the sea, using their poison to paralyze or kill prey. As much as they enjoy seafood, they also supplement their diet with kelp and other ocean plant-life. Socially, they prefer to be loners and only group together at seasonal breeding grounds.
They are quite vain and would easily be captivated by their reflection. This is why they enjoy peering into their pearl, taking whatever glimpse they can of themselves. Others collect a large assortment of reflective objects, such as shells, broken glass, and pearls, which they line their nests/caves with.

This plain variant of the lionfish displays the typical genes of lionfish and noxtide. Because of its less colorful appearance, it is not seen as deadly as its tropical part. However, this is not the case - a sting from this dragon will cause paralysis and possible death. The only difference from the regular lionfish is the longer length of time before a dragon succumbs to death, making it easier to administer the proper antidote in time.
These are harder to spot due to their primary colors as well as its nature to hide within coral reefs, shipwrecks, and rocky shores. It is not as vain as the regular counterpart, but it still enjoys looking at shiny and colorful objects, which it collects and hoards.
