I bought her from Raytini02 at the end of July. My dragon came with a little blurb, "This dragon is a member of the Shadow flight subspecies Cheshires and meets the specific genetic and coloration criteria set forth by that flight. Just be careful of this subspecies! They're mischievous and capable of invisibility." (I've since fleshed out her bio) I'm Shadow and didn't know about it, although admittedly, I don't know a lot about subspecies. url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=23804332]

Dismayed, Cloud followed him into the dark realm, determined to bring him home safe. But as they entered the Wood, and she felt the shadows close around them, her heart whispered a different challenge. You could make this place better. You could bring to it light. So when her mate selected the trophy with which he would return, she bid him wait, and set to work on a small grove. She tore down vines, cleared tangled weeds, began shaping it into a clearing. Sky was impatient at first, but he knew his mate well; he knew when she set herself a goal, nothing would stand in her way. So instead he helped her. Together they cleared the ground, and with combined magic, planted there a garden. A place of joy, of comfort, of light, there in the midst of the Shadows. But the Shadowbinder was not pleased. Her Realm was as it was for a reason; this garden, this Light, disrupted the balance she maintained so carefully. So when Sky and Cloud finished their work and took to the sky, they found the way barred to them. The Shadowbinder would not permit them to leave her domain. And so they remained. They became the Stormbound; bound to the skies of the Tangled Wood, tasked with warning those would would try as they had to disrupt the balance, bring Light to this place of Shadows. And so their descendants remain bound to this day, with coats of white and feathers of mist, yet now with darkened stripes along their backs, the mark of Shadow's touch upon them. But, as they are counted, they notice that some have disappeared. They have not been found nor any remains are left of them upon searching the next few days. This occurrence does not just happen to this one particular farm, but many others have reported the same problem within their cow herds. Days go by with these increasing unknown disappearances. Even with the search of the surrounding community, these cows cannot be found. Fear of their cattle being lost into the shadows has only fueled the idea that the scattered Shade is the cause of these cows to disappear. This was the only possible conclusion that could be logically explained to these strange anomalies without the remains of these individuals being left behind. [br] Species When the moon is the highest in the sky, the Shade is the strongest to take ahold of any living organism. Those that survive this encounter are said to become possessed by the Shade, but those that are absorbed or destroyed which have a soul are said to lose its corporal body. The soul is then corrupted by this entity. Depending on the complexity of this organism in its former life, they are said to become even stronger beings under the Shade. [br] The former known cows have become the subjects of the Shade and have gone through a transformation of their soul as well as their new bodies. As they are reborn from the Shade, these beings seem to have the same appearance as their past one, but they have now gained a deep red and black pair of wings along with dusky horns. They may also appear to be more aggressive to outsiders of the species. [br] Those that encounter these creatures merely call them “demonic cows,” hence this unusual transformation. But, due to the small, but growing number of these beings, they have been recognized by scientists as Bos taurus coccoguine. They state that encounters with these individuals should be avoided, even though there have yet to be reports of injury or death, due to the evident risks of other creatures influenced by the Shade. There is a place where cows roam the fields to graze and live peacefully. The caretakers’ duty is to herd them back into the safety of their barn before twilight. This ensures that these cows are safe from the dangers that lurk once the darkness falls on the farm.

Species

When the moon is the highest in the sky, the Shade is the strongest to take ahold of any living organism. Those that survive this encounter are said to become possessed by the Shade, but those that are absorbed or destroyed which have a soul are said to lose its corporal body. The soul is then corrupted by this entity. Depending on the complexity of this organism in its former life, they are said to become even stronger beings under the Shade.

The former known cows have become the subjects of the Shade and have gone through a transformation of their soul as well as their new bodies. As they are reborn from the Shade, these beings seem to have the same appearance as their past one, but they have now gained a deep red and black pair of wings along with dusky horns. They may also appear to be more aggressive to outsiders of the species.

Those that encounter these creatures merely call them “demonic cows,” hence this unusual transformation. But, due to the small, but growing number of these beings, they have been recognized by scientists as Bos taurus coccoguine. They state that encounters with these individuals should be avoided, even though there have yet to be reports of injury or death, due to the evident risks of other creatures influenced by the Shade.

Hi! I was recently doing some digging around shadow subspecies and I came across a subspecies called "Albino Cave Dragons" which was, at some point, registered as a subspecies. As far as I can tell, the original creator of the subspecies has stopped playing, but I bought a pair that have the gene/colour requirements and I'd love to breed them.

Any hints on how to go about this? Sorry if I haven't posted in the right spot, this looked like the most active thread I could see!
