TOPIC | Interesting IDs: Dragon Share + Pinglist
1 2

We've all seen it: Hype over a dragon with a cool ID. Someone waiting for that perfect number. Someone handing over two light sprites' worth of gems for the dragon with the ID they can't live without. People making wanted threads for their desired ID.

But sometimes people get swamped with requests: "Ping me when you sell this dragon!" Sometimes people dig around for cool IDs. Sometimes someone's got a dragon with a cool ID, but doesn't quite know what to do with it.

So I thought, well, why not make a pinglist? And I did.

But what about the IDs that have already found loving homes? Some of those are going to be completely pampered, right? Share those here! Show off your scaly little children and talk about them. Share hype over dragons you can't wait to see hatched. This should be a primarily dragon share thread, but discussion too is open.

This is not a sales thread. Sales threads can be linked here, but transactions should not be made in this thread. Please use the pinglists to set up a unique thread if you are interested.

Categories

A list of categories for interesting IDs and their meanings. This includes everything listed in the pinglist document. Note that the pinglist document is primarily for sales, but the Dragon Share list can be used to ping people to this thread if you have something to share.

These are not official categories, just ones that I came up with. A dragon does not need to fit these categories to be auctioned or shared!

  • Gen 1s: Parentless dragons. They do not inherently have interesting IDs.
  • 3, 4, 5+ together: An ID which features 3, 4, or 5 of the same digit in a consecutive row (ex. #123000, #178111).
  • All the same: An ID involving only a single repeating digit (ex. #11111 and #55555).
  • Millions: Exact millions (ex. #12000000 (12 million)).
  • Near-miss millions: Numbers near exact millions (ex. #12000049 or #19999912). These should be no more than 100 above or below the million.
  • Repeats: IDs with repeating phrases (ex. #123123, #292929).
  • Numerical: Digits are all in either ascending or descending numerical order (ex. #12345, #98765).
  • Palindrome: The ID is the same forwards and backwards (ex. #12321, #1227221).
  • Numbers (0s, 1s, etc.): The ID contains 3 or more of the same digit consecutively. Same as the "3 together" list above, but for specific digits.
  • Specifics: On the pinglist document, you may mark yourself down for specific unmentioned patterns or types of dragons (ex. Imperials only) or for a specific ID search.

Exempted from this document are birthday dragons--for example, #19900101 being the ID for January 1, 1990. Noting that a dragon like this is your birthday dragon reveals too much personal information. Adding dragons whose IDs form a date to the specifics list is permitted, but any notes mentioning that a dragon is your birthday ID will be removed.

@Jacq

Ooo, I'm a fan of those purples. And yes! Though the categories aren't particular categories you need to fit a dragon into, they're just for the purposes of pinglists mainly.

@Bloodborne

And she's a palindrome! And beautiful even with crackle.
