They are believed to have originated from a nuclear fallout in the Starwood Strand, and why only some of the dragons where affected by this is unknown. They are recognized by the fact that they all have the same genes and primary color; maize poison, any color of toxin and any color of smoke. Another thing that is very characteristic about them is that they fur or scales slightly glow because of the nuclear waste flowing through their veins. The lurkers seem to have originated from some nuclear fallout on the Starwood Strand. Their bodies need to be in contact with a special acid for them to maintain their health and stamina. A Lurker glows with a dimmed, yellow light. When this light goes out, it´s a sign that they need to bathe again. This trait is always passed on to offspring of two Lurkers, but rarely if only one of the parents carry the gene. Why these specific dragons have a need for this acid is still unknown. Besides their characteristic glowing fur or scales, they also seem to be a bit larger and stronger than other species. A Lurker of any breed, no matter the size, is said to be able to carry 100 times it´s own body weight, and still be able to fly and run. They can be any breed of dragon, and none is more common than the other. They vary a lot in color, but their primary color is always Maize. The secondary and tertiary color can vary along the whole color wheel. One thing that is constant with all Lurkers is that they have the same genes. Their genes are always Poison, Toxin and Smoke, if not they don't qualify as a Lurker. To give a more simple overview, I created this list. During my expedition in the Starwood Strand I was a bit worried I wouldn't find anything. I was overwhelmed with clans searching for food, but none of them were special, and after a week I almost gave up. One night, wandering the strand and just looking at the stars and the moon I saw them. A small group of glowing dragons stood with water up to their knees. They all gazed up on the sky, seeming to look for something. I slowly approached them, and when I was only a few meters away from them I managed to kick a rock. They vanished deep into the woods, faster than I had ever seen a dragon move. I came back to the same spot every night, trying to get closer to them every night. But since I scared them that night, they were always on guard. Studying them from a distance wasn't easy, but after a few weeks they got used to me. I always left a small batch of food by the water, showing them that I did not mean to harm them. By the end of my studies I became accepted by them. I could stand right next to them and watch, while they were bathing in the moonlight. I did some tests with the water they were bathing in, and it seemed like it had a small amount of of nuclear waste in it. After doing some tests on the dragons as well, I discovered that their blood (which is green), skin cells (also green) and everything else had this same nuclear waste in it. I tried to mix hair from a Lurker tundra and the water, and it was an interesting reaction. When the two components mixed they started fizzing, and then started glowing, and continued to do so for 24 hours. Without this reaction in their bodies, it seems like the lurkers go weak. They needed this was their extra source of energy, besides food.

None of these are necessary, but it will absolutely make them feel more at home. If you are able to purchase any of these items for your Lurker I highly recommend you to do so, to bring your new buddy lots of happiness!
