They are dragons also named for their amazing ability to cause avalanches from a roar, or beat from their abnormally large wings. Avalanchers are massive dragons, typically abnormally large for their breed. They sport white and ice patterned scales that allow them to go practically unseen in the tundra or blizzards, and have thick, ragged scales that slightly protrude from their body and can be moved in or out at will, allowing them to protect themselves from the harsh weather, or as a spiky defense in case of being attacked. Avalanchers are solitary creatures; a single avalancher will usually control a large portion of territory, chasing off other avalanchers who venture on. During breeding season, avalanchers will roam out of their territory in search of a breeding mate; once they find one, they will preform a mating ritual, with consists of a 'dance', then breed before the two go their separate ways, back to their territory. Female Avalanchers will take care of the clutch on their own; once hatchlings reach maturity, they will leave their mother's territory in search of their own, or in search of another avalancher to challenge for their territory. Some hatchlings have been known to challenge their own mother rather than leaving, though this is more prone to happen with female hatchlings than males. A territory challenge more often then not will result in death for one of the dragons, when the two that are fighting are females. Lightning- Lightning eyed Avalanchers seem to be the most volatile; extremely hyperactive, extremely fast, and violent, avalanchers with these eyes seem to be the most dangerous.

@HotStepDad

Thank you! And I feel like Ice definitely would' they'd probably think they're the 'true' dragons of the subspecies.

@IvyVines I love your Artic Giants. I have found 2 dragons who could breed them. They have light eyes. The only thing I still need to do, is when I have the time, to give them the right familiars, and so on.
