They forged their own culture that was shared among the tribes that lived on that island. The Beach tribes lived along the shores and boasted the largest harvest of Pepino fruit year round. The Jungle tribes that lived deep within the foliage, defending their smaller share vehemently from gatherers that stray too close to their borders. Trading insects for fruit and fish, the tribes lived in harmony, enjoying the peace of their secluded home. However, the Pepino’s were a curious species, always investigating the odd items that occasionally washed up on their shores. Scholars theorized about another island somewhere out across the sea, but none dared to attempt the flight to prove it’s existence. One day, a very brave dragon, a Guardian with deep blue eyes named Malo, flew out across the ocean with a promise to find this mysterious land. His family feared for his life, but no one stopped him, instead helping as best they could to prepare him for his journey. With a prayer to Tidelord to protect him, he set off. After a day’s flight, he found something that he almost couldn’t believe. It was more than an island, like the scholars suspected; it was an entire continent! He traveled first to a lush green land that he learned was the domain of Gladekeeper. There, he learned about the flights of the land, and the innumerable amount of clans that existed. In return he shared the Pepino fruit and even planted a few seeds near the coast. Off he flew to the other domains, chatting and visiting with dragons of every flight, planting Pepino seeds where he knew they would grow. After a month, he traveled back home and told the tribes of all he had seen. The dragons were astounded and amazed to hear of such an amazingly diverse place. Many of the youths were inspired to travel there as well, hoping to join a clan. Malo agreed to guide the children when they were old enough. Once a map was drawn, he began to teach hatchlings about the amazing land, knowing that they would one day see it with their own eyes.[/center]
