Oh man I'm pretty proud of what lore I have so far. So the clan Isles of Memoria started because my progen, Aphyria and Zephyr, left their old clan's for various reasons in search for a new one to Jin. They met each other and decided to travel together. They heard of a clan located in Arcane territory so they decided to see if they could join, but when they arrived, the clan was absolutely destroyed. Rubble and bodies were everywhere. They decided to stick around for a bit to bury all the bodies out of respect for the dead. But then after a bit, three other Dragons showed up, Xiao, Casper, and Jeremiah. They learned from the duo that the clan was attacked. The five ended up deciding to stick around and figure out what had caused the attack to warn other clans. Over the next three months, more dragons joined and homes were built up in the trees to accommodate the Dragons that joined. One day, the original five realized that a clan was being built so a huge meeting was held to discuss the idea of forming a new clan. They were getting nowhere with their search so why not form a new clan? Aphyria was deemed the one with the most political experience along with Zephyr and Jeremiah. They came up with a plan where Aphyria will be the clan matriarch (many call her Queen Aphyria. She never started it and no one will stop), Zephyr will be the Royal Advisor, and Jeremiah is the Head Mage. A matriarch system was developed. The three also decided it would be a good idea to add flight representatives if clan leaders from other flights were to visit. And that's how a couple of dragons accidently made a clan!
Oh wait there's more though. I'll post the two dragons that have lore important to my clan.

My clan's lore is a tad overcomplicated...
Way back in ancient times, the Arcanist discovered a Rift in time and space, located near the edge of the Starwood Strand. The Rift threatened all of Sornieth, as demons, monsters, and evil dragons would come to take advantage of the energy in the Rift or use it to enter this reality and conquer it. The Arcanist gave special powers to a Guardian dragon, now known only as the Slayer, so that she could defend the Rift and keep it from causing harm. When the Slayer died, her powers were given to another female Guardian in the egg, who would be her reincarnation.
Buffy (my custom progen) is the current Slayer. She was lonely, as her only company was a pair of spirits that had been bound into mortal forms by previous Slayers, the Guarding Dark and Weirdmageddon. The Rift was stable, though, and Buffy was powerful enough to fight off any creatures that would try to use it.
However, one day a dragon named Kuiper, an acolyte of the Shade, tried to use her magic to open the Rift. Though she was not entirely successful, and did not unleash the chaos she meant to, she was able to destabilize the Rift and opened smaller cracks throughout space and time. Many dragons fell into or flew through these cracks, which stranded them in Buffy's territory.
The first of these dragons that Buffy met was Storm (my random progen). Though she tried to get Storm to leave, he refused to leave her, especially after they discovered more dragons who had been affected by what the group referred to as a time storm. Storm suggested that the dragons band together in order to find out what had happened to them, and to help Buffy defend the Rift. Many dragons agreed, and the Paradox clan was formed.
The clan faces many perils. Kuiper is still on the loose, masquerading as one of the temporally displaced dragons. Spirits within the Rift are beginning to stir. The scientists of the clan have trouble with lab safety procedures. But if they all can band together, the dragons of the Paradox clan might just be able to save the world.
It's still a work in progress. I've been working on writing more specific lore for some dragons. But basically this is the overview, meant to justify the anachronistic mess that is my lair.
(I could work on homework. Or I could work some more on my epic-in-progress about my clan of digital dragons.)

Hyourinmaru was one of the first dragons to come to the clan searching for a home. The erratic Imperial seemed content to home within a Shadow clan and gladly got to work attempting to create things without blowing them up. That's still a work in progress.

Oceanus came along not long after, rather terrified of the tricksters in the Wood. She didn't even mean to stay in the Wood, as she was on the run from something, but Xavia welcomed her in with open wings to let her stay safe. The Pearlcatcher is very jumpy, though doesn't seem too put off by who is probably the most discomforting dragon in the lair.

Speaking of which, this is where my lore starts getting into my own version of Sornieth because I'm such trash. Juuzou is what is known as a Dove, who hunts ghouls, which are basically dragons that can only eat other dragons to survive. He came to the clan following Oceanus, apparently to keep her (and now the clan) safe. He tends to spook off other dragons of the clan with his appearance and indeterminate gender.

Felara came to the clan a little while later, simply appearing at the entrance and announcing she was going to be staying there. She doesn't take back talk from anyone- instead, she's the one always supplying it. She's often forced to clean up after Hyourinmaru.

And lastly I'll mention Lysandre too, if only to mention ghouls again. He came to the clan seeking refuge from Doves, only the find there was already one bunking there. He has an incredibly strong aversion to Juuzou, who seems all too intent on watching him most of the time. He spends a lot of time helping Hyourinmaru and attempting to make sure he doesn't blow things up. It doesn't work.

ooh boy. i'm gonna read up on a few of these after i post mine.
it's not all fleshed out yet, but i was on fr tumblr and saw a post to help motivate for your clan lore. and one of the questions was "how does your clan feel about beastclans" or something.
and that sparked a new idea entirely.
my clan is interconnected with a serthis beastclan in a way that is impossible to separate now. the dragons have sort of set themselves up in a position of privilege and power over the serthis- this sort of helps the serthis because of their inability to get along and their predisposition to killing each other off, but...
of course, with one species ruling another, it gets pretty rough because it isn't always fair. my dragons try to be good leaders, but there are more unsavory dragons in the high councils who control the politics of the serthis clans below (my clan lives in the side of a mesa in the lightning territory with the serthis clan city sprawling out below) by killing off serthis in the shadows who would seek to change the order of things or upset the balance.
most of the dragons aren't totally fleshed out yet and the story is mostly an idea, but i'm close to getting it to be a chapter-by-chapter lore book almost.
the clan has a rigid hierarchy and monarchical goverment heavily focused on bloodlines and family clans. a lot of it ends up with power plays, backstabbing, and the like to get their bloodlines up the ranks.
it's also a dangerous life. serthis are basically like human beings but with snake tails instead of legs- except their breeding customs and overall culture of violence. the dragons train knights in order to keep the peace- because if they didn't, honestly the dragons would be in trouble. the serthis clans fighting below would destroy pretty much everything, so it's a dire need to sort out their political problems for themselves.
all my exalts are basically considered dead. most dragons die as pages training to be knights, or in childhood when serthis rebels find and destroy the hatchlings. the royal family seems to have a curse put on it by one of the older mage serthis back when the dragons took control over the clan, and the royal family is seemingly destined to lose their partners and see their children die before them.
i think it's pretty cool, anyway.

Ok so the basic gist of my clan lore is that it's actually a kingdom that is under the grip of a curse. I've included the summary here, and the bio of my 'dragon prince' who is the son of the king who brought the curse over the kingdom. I hope some people maybe find this interesting?

OK LET'S GO
Morgus was a nomad dragon, and intended on living alone (mainly after his sister's death), until he found 3 hatchlings abandoned. They didn't look like siblings, so their origins are still a mess to him. He nursed them to adulthood, and decided to build a small lair for the four of them to live, and each took an important role; Longwei is the Spellmaster, Clio guards the place and Tanith makes weapons for all to protect themselves.
But more started to come to them - even a blind dragon, who didn't know where he was going. Most of them had magical powers and soon they found that - as an arcane territory - the land was cursed.
Storyception time
For long ago lived powerful ruler in that land, who fell in love with a star, and stopped working properly, and his people turned against him. He was lunatic, and had stopped eating, so it didn't took long until the people broke into the quarters and killed him.
As his blood was laid ragefully on the land, it became a black hole for mystical beings - enemies, too, were drawn to it. The magic was so strong, that Nymira, long dead, came back to her brother, and now lives within the lair.
But the land is too grand, and the dragons of the Stargazer's Oath were settled for a while there, and made it their home; they wouldn't move. So every dragon receives a bit of training to be able to protect themselves, even if the Guard fails.
Every dragon has a duty, a service to contribute to the clan. They are free to leave, if its to serve their deity or change airs, but inside it, is a strong community, based on trust and hope!

Alright, here it goes.
The Tundra Fiore found herself wandering The Tangled Woods alone, with no memory of how she got there. She met a Mirror named Isaki and the two soon fell in love. They discovered a large grotto while traveling, and decided to found a clan there. They took to cleaning it up and making space, when two others showed up: the Spiral Namine and the Skydancer Sycamore. Not too long later, Fiore and Isaki had a clutch of children before Isaki was sent to serve the Shadowbinder. More and more dragons began to show up to the newly named 'Wispwillow Grotto' and soon Fiore found herself running what was essentially a foster home of different dragons. She now watches over it with Namine at her side, and her three children set to run it when they pass.
Some of the more stranger inhabitants of the Grotto include: Saeko, the scientist who explodes everything she touches, Rythian, her android assistant, Warrior, the assassin turned professional dancer, Illustrious, Druid, Virgil, and Vega, the four demons who don't do much of anything, Melissani, Drogarati, and Myrtos, the three nymphs living in the lake, Midas, the vengeful spirit who is probably going to murder someone, Aether, the smol ghost who just wants answers to their past, and Xing, Yue, Tai, Tammuz, and Dimi, the former mercenary group turned slightly dysfunctional family.
So like my clan is just a mish mash of things??? It's supposed to be a home for dragons who don't have one??
Alright, here it goes.

Shadowus holds a dark secret he protects the Fabled and dangerous entity The Hollow, kept in a powerful box he keeps it sealed away for all eternity. Long ago when the Time of the Dragons began the Hollow sought to absorb all the powers of magic of every dragon in existence. When Good nor Evil could defeat it they joined forces and used there most powerful magic to seal it away in the box when they were successful they put in a ancient temple called The Temple Of the First Dragons and Shadowus took upon the burden to guard the Hollow and makes sure it's never released to plague the world of its evils again. Like all Guardians, Barrett is very protective, and will lay his life one the line for his clan if need be. A great, benevolent leader, Barrett seeks to protect the land from the villainous, maddened Ridgeback Nightshade, who seeks to conquer it. Former friends, these two became violent enemies when Nightshade lost his mind and chose to conquer Sornieth for himself and tried to get Barrett on board. Barrett and Storm Clan now provide shelter to those in need and those fleeing from Nightshade's cruel army.
