These dragons vary in personality and looks, but they tend to be loners that find nothing wrong with being outsiders. They favor areas with large energy sources to sap from. Once the source is depleted, they move on to a different area, which results in dragons of this subspecies being very nomadic. One dangerous trait about them is that the material that makes up their patterns are radioactive, which makes them moderately dangerous to touch but harmless once one builds up a resistance. If a dragon of this subspecies dies or is close to death, the energy built up inside them will release spontaneously, making the immediate area around them extremely unsafe. For this reason, many of these dragons choose to die in secluded, uninhabited places.

Subspecies Lore
Atomic Spectrals are created in one of two ways. The most common birthplaces for these particular dragons are in locations of high energies, often near the Shifting Expanse. When energy builds up in the surrounding air and overflows, the excess energy results in the creation of one or more of these dragons. An Atomic Spectral can be easily recognized by the ghostly, skeleton-like patterns that seem to drip down their bodies, almost as if they were painted on. Alternatively, a variant of this dragon is created in places with high pollution, typically in sewers. This kind of variant has a slightly different coloring on the wings, with patterns that look similar to toxins.
