It was located underground in the Tangled Wood, a mostly sealed cavern that hid a town. The only way to access it was a single portal hidden in an ancient church, heavily guarded in a half-sunken market known as the Overground. The Overground was an ancient civilization's market, left untouched for thousands of years. Heavy climate changes resulted in the market sinking, and the community that built it fleeing. No one knows who made the market or who lived there, but research conducted by Commander Blackwire has given some leads that it was made by a non-draconian, non-beastclan society. The Undercity's first line of defense was Outpost Grimshaw, located right at the gates of the Overground. Two agents would always be posted there at the very least. Other agents would be stationed along the market to ward off anyone who wasn't supposed to be there. Clients meeting Agents within the Undercity had to show proof of their identity before being allowed past Outpost Grimshaw. The Undercity was a self-sustaining city with residential areas, commerce, and community facilities including a gym, library, and meeting rooms. The city was centered around a clock tower with a blown out wall, that was turned into the Chain of Command's main meeting area. The Consoleglitch would stay in the clock tower alongside her sister, Blackwire. The supercomputer known as the Console or by its casual name Genesis was situated in the clock tower as well. Ashfall HQ is one of the HQs that is not made public at all. Ashfall HQ is a massive plane that has all necessary facilities. It has less commerce and leisure areas. The plane is docked at a private military airport protected by a private military company known as the Embers, whom the Blindsiders have a deal with and work together with. Ashfall covers both the Embers camp grounds which contains multiple training facilities gun and weapon ranges, an infirmary, and residential areas, but most of the Blindsiders stay on board the Shatterstar, the Blindsiders's plane. The Shatterstar contains most of the Blindsiders's firepower including an armoury, heavy artillery, and a helicopter. The plane also holds residential areas, though space is limited and as such, only the Chain of Command stays on board regularly. The Shatterstar also contains meeting rooms, an infirmary, a well-stocked pantry and a gym for long travels.

[/columns] [columns] Erak "Envy" Invidia Scout Commander Wraith and servant of the Chaosmaker, Envy abandoned his duty to his creator when he became bored and interested in the very society he was made to destroy. He turned his back on the Chaosmaker and while it took the Consoleglitch a long time to trust him, Envy has earned his place among the Blindsiders. He is in charge of recruiting new agents, and scouting ahead of missions to ensure safety and reporting back of any changes. [nextcol]xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [/columns] Elite Agents are the best of the best, and hand picked by the Chain of Command though they can be recommended for the title by other members. There are very few of them due to the strict requirements to be an Elite. [columns] Navire Sanchez CQB Expert, Tracking and Hunting Specialist Navire is the single-handedly most deadly and efficient agent of the Blindsiders. She has over 4500 confirmed kills and likely thousands unconfirmed, stops at nothing to complete a job, and has maintained a 100% job success rate since day one. She has no limitations on what she'll do minus trafficking dragons. Her rates are also ridiculously high, but those who want a guaranteed success no matter the job are willing to fork over the money. She often works with Elite Agent Blake and splits the profits. [nextcol] Blake Elliot McKenzie Prototype Weapons Engineer Blake, while shy and nervous at times, is a lethal force to be reckoned with in combat. He is strategic and always able to think five steps ahead, and he knows how to play the field to his advantage without the enemy even being aware of what he's doing. He can be found in the Ashfall HQ creating a new experimental weapon for a client if he's not on the field. He often follows Navire along for missions even if not requested by her clients, and they split the profits between them. [/columns] [columns] Axel Bigarsky Arsonist, Mass Destruction Specialist If a client wants someone who can get rid of a lot of evidence or a large compound fast, Axel is the dragon to look for. He is an extremely powerful Fire dragon, even more so than past legends history has seen. He has multiple charges for arson on his name, but they were dropped when he set fire to the prisons and police stations. [nextcol]xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [/columns] Striker Agents are the standard trained agents who are versatile and effective in every situation. Most of them have also chosen to specialise beyond their general training. [columns] Aequitas Healing & Light Magic The last time anyone saw Aequitas was when she was but a pale hatchling who passed away in a blizzard from the cold. Her spirit grew, but she sacrificed even that too to release the Consoleglitch from the Shade's grasp. However, the last bit of her remained, and learned to heal and rebuild. She was given another chance by the universe and brought back as a warrior. [nextcol] The Chancellor Physical Combat, Soul Magic Once a body hosted by the Shade, the Chancellor (name unknown and forgotten) was released from the Shade with help from Aequitas and Crisis. It took a long time for the Blindsiders to trust him, especially with how well the Shade was able to hide that it was occupying the body, but the Chancellor has earned his place among the organization. [/columns] [columns] Alistair Malakai Field Medic Once a Field Medic for the Wind Army, Dr. Malakai was the one who saved Antares's life after the disastrous scouting mission. He was honourably discharged from the military a year later after being struck with a Light blade that critically wounded him. When he recovered, Antares reached out to him as the Blindsiders required a medic and he knew Dr. Malakai wasn't quite done fighting. [nextcol] Nveryll Stealth, Track-and-Capture, Intelligence One of the most senior agents of the Blindsiders, it's surprising that Nveryll is not much of a fighter. She is more passive and prefers capturing over killing, but her skills are invaluable to the Blindsiders hence the choice to keep her on as a track-and-capture specialist. Nveryll is also a professional at intelligence gathering and is quite the tech-wiz. [/columns] [columns] Rex Air Strikes, Infiltration, Speed Formerly a courier for her speed and talented flying, Rex is the Blindsiders's best flier. [nextcol] Zanaire Interrogation, Intelligence Zanaire was an associate of Zias's and came to know of the Blindsiders through the latter. The Blindsiders offered him an excellent opportunity to work on the field more. [nextcol] Zias Strategy, Assassination Zias is a professional at strategic planning and works well alone. He, as an Edge dragon, has powers at his command to go invisible and change colours. As such, he's the one to go to for solo missions involving assassination and leaving no trace. [/columns] Lawless Agents are a specially trained group of agents who are activated in case of a catastrophic event where society falls apart. He left Stagpoint after the cursed town fell apart and came to the Blindsiders. [nextcol] Julian Versatile All-Round Julian came from Stagpoint, once a resident of the cursed town. He embodied the town's curse and carried it with him, bearing the weight and burden of it to save the town from the brunt of it. This gave him enhanced powers in stealth and destruction, which he uses to his advantage on the battlefield. Erak "Envy" Invidia
Scout Commander

Wraith and servant of the Chaosmaker, Envy abandoned his duty to his creator when he became bored and interested in the very society he was made to destroy. He turned his back on the Chaosmaker and while it took the Consoleglitch a long time to trust him, Envy has earned his place among the Blindsiders. He is in charge of recruiting new agents, and scouting ahead of missions to ensure safety and reporting back of any changes.

Elite Agents are the best of the best, and hand picked by the Chain of Command though they can be recommended for the title by other members. There are very few of them due to the strict requirements to be an Elite.
cSfvqz3.png
Navire Sanchez
CQB Expert, Tracking and Hunting Specialist

Navire is the single-handedly most deadly and efficient agent of the Blindsiders.
VvRPIh7.png
Blake Elliot McKenzie
Prototype Weapons Engineer

Blake, while shy and nervous at times, is a lethal force to be reckoned with in combat. He is strategic and always able to think five steps ahead, and he knows how to play the field to his advantage without the enemy even being aware of what he's doing. He can be found in the Ashfall HQ creating a new experimental weapon for a client if he's not on the field. He often follows Navire along for missions even if not requested by her clients, and they split the profits between them.
niZFRbq.png
Axel Bigarsky
Arsonist, Mass Destruction Specialist

If a client wants someone who can get rid of a lot of evidence or a large compound fast, Axel is the dragon to look for. He is an extremely powerful Fire dragon, even more so than past legends history has seen. He has multiple charges for arson on his name, but they were dropped when he set fire to the prisons and police stations.

Striker Agents are the standard trained agents who are versatile and effective in every situation. Most of them have also chosen to specialise beyond their general training.
voqoYVT.png
Aequitas
Healing & Light Magic

The last time anyone saw Aequitas was when she was but a pale hatchling who passed away in a blizzard from the cold. Her spirit grew, but she sacrificed even that too to release the Consoleglitch from the Shade's grasp. However, the last bit of her remained, and learned to heal and rebuild. She was given another chance by the universe and brought back as a warrior.
12MJz9P.png
The Chancellor
Physical Combat, Soul Magic

Once a body hosted by the Shade, the Chancellor (name unknown and forgotten) was released from the Shade with help from Aequitas and Crisis. It took a long time for the Blindsiders to trust him, especially with how well the Shade was able to hide that it was occupying the body, but the Chancellor has earned his place among the organization.

Alistair Malakai
Field Medic

Once a Field Medic for the Wind Army, Dr. Malakai was the one who saved Antares's life after the disastrous scouting mission. He was honourably discharged from the military a year later after being struck with a Light blade that critically wounded him. When he recovered, Antares reached out to him as the Blindsiders required a medic and he knew Dr. Malakai wasn't quite done fighting.
pIn43pK.png
Nveryll
Stealth, Track-and-Capture, Intelligence

One of the most senior agents of the Blindsiders, it's surprising that Nveryll is not much of a fighter. She is more passive and prefers capturing over killing, but her skills are invaluable to the Blindsiders hence the choice to keep her on as a track-and-capture specialist. Nveryll is also a professional at intelligence gathering and is quite the tech-wiz.
U2AROTX.png
Rex
Air Strikes, Infiltration, Speed

Formerly a courier for her speed and talented flying, Rex is the Blindsiders's best flier. As such, she is suitable for infiltration of enemy grounds and if something needs to be done fast, she's the one. She is also trained to perform air strikes on with destructive weapons.
ZfGPgH0.png
Zanaire
Interrogation, Intelligence

Zanaire was an associate of Zias's and came to know of the Blindsiders through the latter. Zanaire used to work in a special forces as an interrogator and investigator, but was bored with the office work he was doing most of the time. The Blindsiders offered him an excellent opportunity to work on the field more.
POHDfaX.png
Warden
Physical Combat, Brute Strength

Warden is a monstrously large Gaoler, almost more a monster than a dragon. He excels in brute force and can take on ten enemies alone. He doesn't talk that much and only really interacts with Zias and Zanaire.
MlwyBgu.png
Zias
Strategy, Assassination

Zias is a professional at strategic planning and works well alone. He, as an Edge dragon, has powers at his command to go invisible and change colours. As such, he's the one to go to for solo missions involving assassination and leaving no trace.
45icnka.png

Lawless Agents are a specially trained group of agents who are activated in case of a catastrophic event where society falls apart. They work in the dark and in silence and no one outside of the Blindsiders know their identities.
BC31rBK.png
The Godhunter
All-Round Anti-Magic Combat

The Godhunter, real name [REDACTED], is an anti-magic hunter. She prowls the land for self-proclaimed "Gods" and tears them apart, and believes in no faith. The Godhunter has no mercy for the divine. She is also has no Elemental alignment and her eyes are grey. The Eleven cannot affect her if she has no link to them.
3xg8BnE.png
Jack Forrest
Artillery, Solo-Assault

Jack is not Blindsider-trained. He comes from the Division and was trained by them, but joined the Blindsiders to spend time while not activated by the Division. He is very much a solo worker and while he has a sister Sierra in the Blindsiders, he doesn't interact with her that much. Their relationship is tense.
vGKpCJn.png
The Judge
Damage Mitigation

The Judge is a law-abiding citizen, hailing from the wild-west town of Stagpoint. Over there, he was judge, jury, and executioner where he was needed. He had little mercy for those who broke the law, but would never spare any effort in his investigations. He left Stagpoint after the cursed town fell apart and came to the Blindsiders.
iSdTYwo.png
Julian
Versatile All-Round

Julian came from Stagpoint, once a resident of the cursed town. He embodied the town's curse and carried it with him, bearing the weight and burden of it to save the town from the brunt of it. This gave him enhanced powers in stealth and destruction, which he uses to his advantage on the battlefield.
iDSu6Ci.png
The Sheriff
Damage Mitigation, Interrogation

The Sheriff, real name Kryzec, came from Stagpoint alongside Julian and the Judge. He was the prime investigator of crimes and unusual happenings within Stagpoint and around the town, but he was also regarded as the general head of the town since they had no specified head.
60wF1Fq.png
Sierra Forrest
Sniping, Strike Missions

A trained Division Agent alongside her brother Jack, Sierra is a specialist in sniping and solo strike missions. Unlike her brother, she isn't antisocial or a general hater of society. She is in fact, quite sociable. One wouldn't expect her to be anything like her brother.

Within Dying Light

The Blindsiders have reached a new era - a point of no return. We've changed, we fight, in the hope of going back to how things were before. Our agents have scattered. Some are dead. Others captured. Guess that's what happens when you let a traitor into your ranks.

I admit it was my fault. I didn't check everyone thoroughly. We still don't know who it was that exposed us. Yes, we've recouped as much as possible, but we're still calling into the dark for our agents and hoping they respond. Some are coming to Ashfall, others remain ghostly silent.

The Commander is angry - and well within reason. I made a mistake, and it cost us all her organisation. I wouldn't be surprised if she exiles me.

But never mind that. We're rebuilding, and once the Elite Agents reach us we'll be able to get back on our feet and start planning the release of our imprisoned agents. Can't help but feel that we're living within the shadows of a dying light though.

- Scout Commander, Erak "Envy" Invidia

A wisp of thick smoke slid across the ashy grounds of the Ashfall Waste, almost invisible among the dense smoke muddled with ash. The cloud of darkness weaved between spewing columns of lava, blackened and scarred paved molten rock, and hot, bursting bubbles of volcanic gas. It kept going like a strong wind with a purpose til it reached a fence. To things with physical bodies and mass, the guarded fence would pose a problem. For a moment, a red dot of light flickered towards the cloud of smoke, before the light drifted away and the entity slid through the fence and continued on into a protected base.

It crossed an airfield and towards the hangars where military planes were kept when not in use. A couple of technicians milling around noticed the snaking cloud of smoke but ignored it. It kept going, its purpose unknown to those around it.

When it reached a flight of stairs, it seemed to hesitate, peering down the stairwell before detouring towards the elevators. Despite the closed doors, it squeezed through the gap and headed down the elevator shaft right into the basement. Upon exit, it was greeted by an unmistakable heat as it entered the catacombs below the military base.

Caverns and planes of warm, molten rock were framed by falling cascades of lava. The land had been terraformed by those living down there in the magma caves. A city was carved into the walls, where the remains of a raging, angered, and very dangerous organisation lived.

The cloud headed into the city by the magma falls, finally forming some resemblance of a dragon as the smoke took a more solid form. It shifted and morphed until it became a purple Pearlcatcher, the edges of his wings still fading like wisps of smoke.

A red Imperial came up to him, looking down at the smoky Pearlcatcher.

"Any updates, Envy?" The Imperial asked.

The Pearlcatcher huffed. "I got in contact with all Elite Agents. They said they're on their way here, so they should be here within a day or two. Still haven't gotten a response from five agents, so they're still missing. And you, Antares? Got in contact with the Commander?"

Antares shook his head, a permanent frown seemed to be etched into his face. "Not yet, she hasn't replied to any of my messages. Crisis hasn't either. I reckon I might just go pay her a personal visit to fill her in."
