The Fire Ruby was a great land, in the Ashfall Waste, close to the Zephyr Steppes of the Windsept Plateau. There, a war had discarded an old clan in two, and gave its name to the area that was formed by the territory of each region: The Wind Pyrite, formerly led by Volan, one of the tallest Imperials of Sornieth.
When Machai of the Blacksand Annex decided to take her part of the territory, the rivalry began growing between the Fire and the Wind clans. Many perished, many others flew.
The Wind Pyrite had become a dead region, inhabited by the few survivors of the great war.
Then, like reborn of its ashes, the Fire Ruby came back with Machai, and started growing again, giving a home to many. But Volan and his Clan are still lurking in the shadows, waiting to steal their whole territory back. [/center]
