Just across the street by a well were a Wildclaw and a Pearlcatcher talking, standing over something while a small crowd milled behind them. You were tempted to take a look, but the music and chatter coming from the saloon pulled you towards it, tempting you with the idea of a cold drink. When you entered, you were greeted by a blast of cool air from a fan in the corner and took a seat at the bar, eyeing a Skydancer with incredible red locks. She sauntered up, leaning one arm on the bar counter. "You look new here. What can I get ya?" She asked. "Anything cold," You replied politely. The Skydancer turned to fix you a drink, sliding a sturdy glass over. It was filled with ice, and had the same gold colour as a rich sunset. You took a sip, letting it cool you off from the inside, and set down the glass. The drink had a sharp first taste, which you tried to suppress your gag at, but it melted into a sweet, citrus after taste. The Skydancer laughed. "Definitely new to Stag Point. Now what brings ya here?" You looked into your glass, as if you were searching for an answer amongst the golden drink. After a moment, you just shrugged. "Not sure anymore. What's going on outside? I saw a crowd." The hostess looked beyond the doors of the saloon, sighing. "Seems like no one who comes to Stag Point really has a purpose. No one ever does out here in the Blind Desert." Her eyes flicked to you. "About the crowd, it's nothing. Someone just found a dead body by the well is all. Reckon the Sheriff is investigating it right now." She rested her chin in her palm, elbow leaning against the counter. "That makes three in a week." Your eyes widened in shock. Three deaths? In a week? Maybe you shouldn't stay here too long, in case you became the next one. The hostess's calmness about the whole thing was odd to you, but you guessed she must have been used to it by now. Jaded, probably. Neither you nor the hostess exchanged anymore words, letting you finish up the last of your drink in silence while she tended to other patrons. Once you were done, you set down the glass, slid over some coins, and headed back out into the blazing sun. Looking over at the well, the crowd was gone, and so was the supposed body, leaving nothing but the same Wildclaw, Pearlcatcher, and a patch of dried blood between them as they talked. Worried as you were that you could be next, there was something exciting about being here too. Perhaps you'd stay awhile, just to see how things unfolded...

Welcome to the land of the Lawless.

Lying under the heat of the damned sun of the Sunbeam Ruins is an old town. Where it lies is a place few dare to go, in the middle of an arid desert with nothing but sand, dirt, and the occasional cactus for miles in all directions. There's really no reason for anyone to be here, and yet, a town named Stag Point thrives.

Okay, maybe it's not thriving, per se, but it's there, and the dragons who live there are getting by in their small, isolated community. No one really knows who built the town to start with - no one living there now can say for sure. Whoever built it, or was living there when it was built must have died a long time ago.

That doesn't matter. What's important is that the town is there, for the lone traveler - or fool, depending on how you see them for being in the middle of the Blind Desert. And you're there, for one reason or another. The locals think you insane for making it out to their town.

But hell, who ever needed a reason to come to the land of the Lawless?

So where am I, exactly?

You finally came across something in this barren desert, after who-knows how many days, weeks, even months of travel. You couldn't remember how long it was since you stepped into the Blind Desert, despite the warnings of a couple guards on the border trying to dissuade you from the terrible decision you were dead-set on making.

There's nothing out there, they had said. You're just going to get yourself killed. Few make it even half way across the Blind Desert before they die one way or another.

You heard the stories before, so it wasn't as if you were walking into this, well, blind. And at the time, some ferocious desire and energy overwhelmed your common sense, and you had just brushed off the guards's warnings and pushed by.

They hadn't tried to stop you, even as you took one step after another into the stretches of barren land. You didn't know where you were going, or what you were looking for. Maybe at the time you knew, but now you didn't anymore.

As the dusty town came into view, you couldn't help but think back to the guards and laugh at them internally. Hah! So much for dying, huh? You had done something few could do, and you were damn proud of yourself for it, beaming a little as you passed an old sign board made of weathered wood. It was coated in a layer of faded paint, but not faded enough that you couldn't make out the words. You paused by it to read what it said.

Welcome to
Stag Point

Pulling your eyes away from it, you headed into town, surprised to see dragons actually going about their business. Guess the Blind Desert wasn't as dead as everyone made it out to be. The town was fairly busy, with most of the noise coming from a saloon. Just across the street by a well were a Wildclaw and a Pearlcatcher talking, standing over something while a small crowd milled behind them. What are the Three Gangs of the Blind Desert?
Well, to say the least, they're someone you should respect... or fear.
The Lawless is a gang of dragons residing in Stag Point, going up against two other gangs within the Blind Desert - The Ruby Vipers, and the Unmarked. While not particularly hostile, the Lawless are vicious fighters when they need to be to defend their territory from other gangs, or steal and raid what they need to survive.

They are symbolised by a stag's skull. The sigils the members bore are often different in style and detail, especially in the number of prongs on the stag's horns, but are all still stag skulls in the same position.

They're the only gang out of the three without a distinct leader.

The Unmarked is a gang residing to the south of the Lawless within the Blind Desert. Their members are all notoriously stealthy and they have no set base, meeting in different places constantly and staying out of sight most of the time. They have a rule on members never meeting within the eyes of non-members, whether they be from other gangs or otherwise. As such, it's hard to distinguish Unmarked members.

They are symbolised by a rose dagger. Unlike the Lawless, the Unmarked do not bear the symbol on their bodies. Instead, they carry around an emblem with the rose dagger symbol that can be discarded if need be.

The Ruby Vipers is a gang residing to the east of the Lawless within the Blind Desert. They're notorious for being very open and violent about the crimes they commit, members being willing to fight, steal, raid, and murder in broad daylight. They're all confident in their ability to get away due to their fighting prowess and speed, and have few numbers due to how picky they are with member selection.

They are symbolised by a twisting viper, though the symbol they carry on hand to mark them as members of the gang is a small ruby with a viper engraved into it.
