So, I fell in love with the mirror dragons the moment I had to choose the breed of my custom progen. I've decided to try myself at drawing them by practicing drawing said progen c: I think i'll try to draw all of my lair in the future, so i'll use that thread for that, but also i'll use it if i have random dragons to post.
So, the first FR dragon i've ever drawn is my clan leader Denyze, in a TON of messy doodles :

(I adore the fact that Mirrors have their tongues just. hanging out of their mouths when it's closed. It's absolutely amazing sjqfhsq and I showed all my friends lol)
Then here's an "actual" drawing, still messy but it's colored at least

I don't like making clean stuff, so i'm just very happy to be able to just throw lines together messily and it makes a thing, lmao.
I need more practice drawing the Mirror fins but also the gene smirch. And probably any genes that my dragons may have in the future, actually lmao. As of right now it feels like smirch is making my drawings kinda unreadable...

I mean, if you're a 5-meter long dragon and suddenly a giant Guardian, 3 times bigger than you, just came up to you like "sup ?", you'd hiss too, right ? I know I would, lmao.
Then they became friends because Choas is actually pretty good at talking to people, and Denyze came to trust him pretty quickly.

I think the way you draw smirch is good, but it does complicate things. I don't think it makes your drawings unreadable though. Try being me with a lair full of crackle dragons lol. I like your drawings and I like the big mirror energy. I like how you draw the wings

Mangrit It's good if it's not unreadable then :') I was kinda worried about that. I haven't drawn my boy Healer yet specifically because of crackle lmao. And i want to get a crackle gene for another of my dragons... I'm going to feel your pain soon lmao, I've been lurking on your art threads lately and I think you're doing crackle pretty well, although it does seem like it's hard lmao

So uh i decided not to spam yesterday, but as it's today now I'm going to post all 4 more art pieces i made yesterday at once.
I had used Paint Tool SAI for the Thundercrack contest and was basically like "hey what if i used this drawing program i haven't used in years again ?" yeah. So I've been sketching and coloring the sketches. Still no lineart because I still dislike that lol
These drawings are 750*750, and I think I might turn them into smaller pics to use as icons somewhere. Probably on Tumblr.

Really good job on the crackle! It's delicate and placed in a way that doesn't mess up the readability. Also I just noticed you create smirch by using a bunch of circles, huh. I like how you drew the ridgeback's face

and yeah smirch is a bunch of circles bc i tend to simplify the design lmao i'm pretty sure it's supposed to be less circle-y than that
