Day 18:
Chapter 2: Cycle of Life
Rah could only watch silently as his teammates we're killed by Stranglers in their sleep, Basilisks had paralyzed him, affecting his back legs, and his mouth. When morning arose, a lone Imperial had found Rah burying the body of a Spiral.
"Excuse me, may I ask who you are and what are you doing?" Whispered the Imperial, her voiced was hushed, almost robotic sounding. "Oh.. I am Rah, a Nomad searching for answers, my friends have been killed by Stranglers." Rah said mournfully. "Ah, I see now," she crowed, her voice slightly louder, "Death is not uncommon in the forest of eyes." she said strangely. "..I see." Rah mentioned, his voice shakey.
Rah knew about these Woods since he was a hatchling, and how dangerous they were, he just never focused on it until the day his Parents disappeared. After giving the Spiral a proper burial, Rah sat silently on the riverside, pondering at his reflection. The Imperial who found him sat next to him, as a means to comfort him. "Why are you in these Woods in the first place?" Rah asked, trying to take his mind off of his dead teammates, and the numb pain in his legs. "I am here to escape my old Clan, I did not approve of their methods or their rules. It's not like they ever cared for me anyways." The Imperial replied. "Should I dare ask about their rules?" Rah questioned further. "It's best you don't know." She said, nit taking her eyes off of the flowing water.
"I see..." Rah said once again, unsure how to exactly reply to that. "May I ask your name? I never got it." Rah asked.
"My name is Yuuji." The Imperial answered.

Months had passed since Rah and Yuuji met. they had found a way to settle within a clearing in the Woods. The two even got together, it was nice
They even had eggs
Rah had gone out to hunt for lesser animals, hoping to find a meal for his mate. When he returned, he had found Yuuji crying by her nest of eggs. "Yuuji? What is the matter? Did something happen?" Rah asked with a worried tone in his voice. "They're dead. They're dead." Yuuji said repeatedly. Rah came closer and found their eggs, withered and dull. Rah could not speak. He was too devastated to talk at all. "..No. They can't be. They can't!" Rah yelped. "THEY'RE GONE." Yuuji yelled, before falling over with a loud *thud* and sobbing. Rah didn't know what to do. His Wife was not ok, His Children were dead before they were even born.
He didn't know what to do.
