[center][font=Consolas][size=3][color=SaddleBrown]You find yourself overlooking a vast lake, sparkling and shining in the midday sun.
A single, wooden bridge stretches across it, leading to a small but prosperous city in the distance.
You’ve heard of this place, of the vast knowledge concealed within the walls of its infamous library.
[color=Rosybrown]Birdsong fills your ears; you notice that there seems to be an abundance of them around here.
One flits down from above to land cheerfully on your shoulder, unfazed by your presence.
The citizens must treat the birds with a great deal of respect for them to be this friendly.
[color=Saddlebrown]The wooden boards of the bridge creak with each footstep, but hold strong.
The wind carries the sounds of the city, the sounds of innovation and expression.
And, of course, the birds. They never do stop chirping.
[color=Rosybrown]Despite it being daytime, there are lanterns posted periodically along the bridge.
Upon closer inspection, you notice that they’re actually colored glass jars filled with fireflies.
You imagine that when night’s curtain falls, the bridge is bathed in brilliant, kaleidoscopic light.
[color=Saddlebrown]The image on the horizon is just within your grasp—you reach out your hand as if you
could latch on to the great wonders that surely lie within its walls.
Suddenly, you notice you’re at the entrance, blocked by an ornate golden gate.

The Aviary Crows are used as messengers by the royal family.
Killing a crow is viewed as an act of high treason.
Leucistic Crow
Meat
An uncommon sight, made even rarer after you finish your dinner.
55
6
Bleeding Heart Crow
Meat
Only males display the vibrant 'bleeding heart' coloration for which this subspecies is named.
55
6
Botanical Gardens The Prince prides himself on his gardens.
Non-royal townsfolk are invited to enjoy the space at their leisure, and it has thus become a popular gathering place for artists and artisans to spend their afternoons.
Sweet Songbird
Meat
For those who enjoy saccharine songs and edibles.
17
2
Dustwing Hummingbird
Meat
These tiny birds feed upon the sweet nectar of cactus flowers.
25
3
Yellow Canary
Meat
Canaries make great dragon snacks, but are more often kept as natural alarms. Their call is loud enough to act as a warning about plague gasses nearby.
29
3
Sunspot Sparrow
Meat
This species has the peculiar habit of perching upside-down.
41
4
Puddlehopper
Meat
Difficult to catch, and more difficult to hold onto.
27
3
Wood Duck
Meat
Much tastier than a decoy.
58
5
Speckled Tortoise
Meat
A large, but challenging meal.
25
3
Arroyo Toad
Meat
Most dragons have developed an immunity to this toad's poisonous skin, but mirrors may suffer an allergic reaction.
61
6
Glass Minnows
Seafood
The skin of the Glass Minnow is naturally transparent, thus it's naturally macabre.
15
2
Golden Betta
Seafood
Traditionally given out to the second wave of food taste-testers. Many dragons hold onto them rather than eating them.
25
3
Gilded Tetras
Seafood
This schooling fish appears to be dull brown until it moves, its iridescent golden sides mimicking light reflections when viewed from above.
25
3
Red Emperor Tulip
Plant
Many herbivorous dragons will plant beds of tulips for a cheerful display of color around their lairs and a tasty treat in their bellies.
50
5
Corona Sempervivum
Plant
A succulent plant to decorate your garden or your plate.
63
6
Pinwheel Paddies
Plant
The breeziest and brightest of all lilies, Pinwheel Paddies can spin for hours on end.
45
4
Giant Lilypad
Trinkets
Also known to fae dragons as 'boat'.
34
The Orchard The fruits grown on the orchard's trees are viewed as the best in the region.
Common exports from the island include jams, preserves, butters, and pastries.
Acorns and fungi are harvested for medicinal purposes.
Red Squirrel
Meat
The Red Squirrel is known for its erratic, some might say screwy, behavior.
25
3
Sun Flecked Fieldmouse
Meat
Named for the way it sparkles in sunlight, this strange rodent can leap great distances and has a tendency to brood.
20
2
White Cabbage Butterfly
Insect
Caution: Excessive consumption of this butterfly may cause cabbage farts. Think of your den mates.
25
3
Bean Beetle
Insect
While lady bugs are a gardener's joy, bean beetles are considered a pest. Eat them before they eat your flowers!
50
5
Garden Snail
Insect
Your average garden snail just wants to stand in the middle of where you walk every day, flirting with catastrophe.
55
5
Dwarf Shelf Fungus
Plant
This musty fungus is an acquired taste.
35
4
Woodland Acorn
Plant
Did you know that if you swallow an acorn whole, a tree will grow in your belly? It's true!
25
3
Red Delicious Apple
Plant
An apple a day keeps energy penalties away.
50
5
Honeycrisp Apple
Plant
It's a challenge to get the skin off in a single, unbroken spiral. Sharpen your claws!
50
5
Fig
Plant
Enjoy fresh, dried, or boiled.
64
8
Potash Peach
Plant
It's said that these peaches are sweetest when volcanoes are at their most active.
500
15
Castle Livestock The livestock kept here are primarily farmed for eggs, milk, and feathers.
Their meat is only harvested once one dies of old age.
Hooded Hen
Meat
This here's a nice, I say, a nice specimen. Though, it's got more nerve than a bum tooth.
50
5
Grouse
Meat
These small birds make better food than pets; they tend to disappear!
21
2
Bobwhite Quail
Meat
Scores of bobwhite quail adults come together to build large community nests in rock crofts and trenches.
55
5
Red-Breasted Goose
Meat
Red-breasted geese will often nest near dragon lairs. How well this strategy works depends on whether the lair is populated by Tundra or Wildclaw dragons...
64
8
Goat
Meat
Wears an unamused expression, but could instead wear a tiny sweater. Think about it.
25
3
Micro Goat
Meat
Where's the goat?
37
3
Spotted Goat
Meat
Though they are able to graze nearly anywhere, they will beeline to mow down carefully tended gardens.

Ornate Porcelain Jar
Trinkets
A valuable porcelain jar in near-perfect condition. It's a mystery how this artifact was so well preserved.

A pinch of unicorn dust and happy thoughts can allow a dragon to fly! It seems impossible, but it is true!
48
Antique Oil Lamp
Trinkets
Dusty, rusty, reliable.
41
Storyteller's Strings
Trinkets
The body of this lute is covered in scratchmarked script of the names of various locations around Sornieth.
33
Bonepriest Venom
Organics
Used in the production of dastardly brews and vile tonics.
26
Bottled Embers
Trinkets
What is captured must be quickly released or smoke will be all that remains.
25
Weathered Grimoire
Trinkets
If holding just one of these makes you feel knowledgable, imagine how wise you'd be if you had a hoard filled with them!
35
Book of Urban Legends
Trinkets
Tales of dubious validity. Hatchlings can't seem to get enough of them.
37
Long Form Poetry
Trinkets
An impressively long poem telling the legend of the First Four dragon gods. Generations have colored the tale to be more cynical and critical.
41
Forest Field Guide
Trinkets
This tome provides detailed information on the flora and fauna of the region - it seems that many creatures have changed their habits since the forest began to regularly catch fire.
24
Aged Tome
Dragonmade
Like fine wine, tomes only get better with age. (Special thanks Jayfox.)
70
Scroll Case
Trinkets
A scroll case in pristine condition. It's empty.
15
Rusted Crown
Trinkets
This crown was not made for a dragon, though it's fun to balance it on your head.
320

Minerals & Ores
Known to drive dragons to do very foolish things.
250
White Gold Cerdae Pendant
Trinkets
The tooling on this pendant is lovely.
27
Catfeather Loop

A polished ring depicting a winged feline. The eyes glow with a soft green light.

The practice of attempting to hold a mawful of cinnamon sticks for extended periods of time became strangely popular among juvenile dragons.
58
5
Centaur Ration Pouch
