We will have a prompt for every day of advent, starting on December 1st, and ending on December 25th! The whole point is to be creative, and possibly win some fun prizes along the way! [/LIST] [b]How to Play[/b] [LIST] [*] each day, either myself of Petall will post with the day's prompt (you can see a list of all future prompts below) [*] you will have until rollover that night to post your story [*] your story can be any length, from a couple paragraphs to a whole novella! [*] [b]PLEASE NOTE there is a MINIMUM WORD COUNT of 200 words, if your story is less than 200 words long, you WILL NOT BE ENTERED IN THE DRAW[/b] [*] you will get one entry into the raffle of the day if your story meets our guidelines of a proper entry (just taking three minutes to bash out a quick entry to get into the raffle isn't fair to anyone, Petall and I will be the judges of when something isn't a proper entry and let you know in case you want to add on to it) [*] wait and see who wins, and what the next day's prompt is! [/LIST] [center][b]FAQ[/b][/center] [b]Q:[/b] Can I write for previous prompts I missed? [b]A:[/b] Short answer: yes! Long answer: of course, but you will not be entered in the daily raffle draw. You will still be entered in the final draw (you get an entry for each prompt you write for), but will not be eligible for a daily draw entry with that writing. [b]Q:[/b] Do I have to be a good writer? [b]A:[/b] NO! You just have to put effort in. We understand that effort looks different for each person, as everyone's talent and writing voice is different. Just do your best - whatever that is - and it will be perfect! [b]Q:[/b] How does the draw work? [b]A:[/b] The morning after a prompt day, Petall and I will tally everyone who entered and give them numbers. Then we will use a random number generator, and the post with that number is the winner! [b]Q:[/b] What happens if I win? [b]A:[/b] You will receive that day's prize (see prizes section) in either a CR or a DM, depending on the prize. Your story will also be put up in the winners section of the forum, and put on the announcement ping for all to see! [b]Q:[/b] Can I comment on other people's stories? [b]A:[/b] Please do! Just make sure to keep it positive, no criticism, even if it's constructive.
