The Clan's Foundation
Strange as it may be, the Matriarch and Patriarch of the Clan are not originally the ones who founded it. In truth, it’s the strange little Imperial that lives among them and sticks close to certain Clan Members who came up with the idea in the first place. Larcenious first met the strange little female, known as Everra, while he was wandering through the dense forests of the Shrieking Wilds. The little puzzling dragon was weak and skittish, but otherwise surprisingly friendly to him as he showed no ill intent.
He decided on a whim to help her, and through this formed a bond as he aided her in finding food while protecting her from unpleasant creatures and more harsh weather. His fondness toward her increased substantially as she gently aided him in keeping better track of his Charge. After then deciding to stay with her faithfully his fondness only grew; it was some short time later that his to-be mate, Adaminae, came into the picture.
It being a classical case of love at first sight, the beautiful female Guardian did not take long to take to the other’s little companion at all. Through the little group growing fond of one another, and the newfound pair questioning the thought of their first nest of eggs, Everra chimed in oh-so-happily with the idea to just start a Clan. The initial idea came with confusion and shock, as they were only a group of three. But the little female was excited and adamant, boasting how maybe, they could find others who were wandering alone, and lonely, and take them in-- give them a nice home, with nice friends!
Of course none of them would realize just how true those words would be. But the kind, lovely little bundle of warmth and joy easily won over the two cooing, Guardians, and they agreed to stake claim to a small part of the Gladeveins as their initial home. It wasn’t until the group of three attained some new members that the comical yet understanding name of their Clan was coined. It should be no surprise that Everra helped come up with it as well.
The Lair's Located Grounds
Currently stationed and built closely to a pocket of trees among the Worldedge Wetlands, the Misfits Clan is not as easy to spot as one would think. Their three entrances are placed specifically near closely nestled trees by the roots; made to look as if they were already there as a normal formation in the swampy ground rather than from the claws of dragons. They are so closely dug to the roots and waterlogged bushes, that for two of the three entrances one must traverse some thick bush and swim through the waters to get through.
The entirety of their territory on the surface is focused solely around a particularly thick tree. It’s rumored that the tree was once many trees that were separate, but close by that fused together over time. It is perfect shade, as well as a defining landmark for the group when some return from gathering and traveling. The territory itself stretches out far, but the surface area mimics that of a large oval; a small running river with a cluster of boulders off to the Southwest marks the edge of their territory there, and toward the Northeast the territory there spans far past the designated tree, until the edge of the land, and one final waterlogged tree ends it.
The den itself goes quite deep underground; the largest entrance being huddled down beneath the roots of that large tree and packed tightly with grass, clay and rocks to keep the waters from flooding it constantly. There are many branches and caverns, with the deepest ones being far below in the darkened rocks and soil. Though the inside walls are decorated with flora planted and growing through the cracks.
Just recently those deepest caverns were made, for the more reclusive residents.
