A choking cloud of silence hangs in the air of the Scarred Wasteland.

An entrance to a lair looms up ahead. The mouth of the entrance is cavernous, wide enough for even the largest dragons to fit through. It is overgrown by oversized fungal hyphae, and looks to have been there for a long time. The bone spires of the Wasteland are present as always, but their smooth white surfaces are coated in strange growths.

Lurking behind and between them are giant, twisted mushrooms. Puffballs litter the bases, and bracket fungi grow in rows of shelves that form nearly complete rings on the spires. It’s impossible to tell if these are the fruiting bodies of many different fungi, or of one immeasurably large individual.

Drawing closer, the ground changes consistency. It is unpleasantly soft, like walking on spoiled meat. The surface of the earth is covered with a dense fuzz. Even out in the open, the clouds of spores hanging in the air create a sense of heaviness and claustrophobia. The mushroom stalks seem to be pulsating weakly, though it could be a trick of the light.

Looking into the yawning mouth of the lair, it’s impossible to make out anything inside through the blinding daylight. A faint, nauseating smell creeps up from its depths. It's the scent of sickness.

There is a quiet hiss nearby. The clouds of spores shift, as if disturbed by the breath of something massive.

There are no tracks in the uncomfortably soft terrain. The tiny stalks in the carpet of mold are completely undisturbed.

All the same, there is a tangible presence breathing over your shoulder.

His bio explains the crux of Sporefall Hollow’s problems. Nuishe has named the Wyrmwound Blight after a more common and much less serious fungal infection, Wyrmwound Fever. The initial symptoms of Wyrmwound Blight are similar to the symptoms of Wyrmwound Fever, and both diseases are caused by parasitic fungi, but how related they are beyond those characteristics is unknown. The [b]BEHAVIOR[/b] section focuses on how the Wyrmwound Blight thinks and acts, visible through what it makes infected dragons do. [center][b]DISCLAIMER[/b][/center] No section is truly complete, as Nuishe is only a single Wildclaw, and cannot know everything. Nuishe has occasionally attempted to learn more about the Blight by talking directly to it, and has tentatively included some information from it in this guide. A notable example of this Blight-sourced information is the path the fungus takes once it has infected a new host. However, it is to be noted that Blight-sourced information is even more unreliable than Nuishe’s normal writings. The Blight’s speech is not straightforward, and Nuishe has had to “translate” some portions. Some meaning may have been lost in translation, and the translated information may not perfectly match what the Blight was trying to convey. Additionally, the Blight’s trustworthiness is questionable, to say the least. Even if it has not intentionally deceived Nuishe, it may not know everything about itself either. Just as the average dragon cannot explain why they feel pain or describe a sensation that the listener has never experienced, the Blight may not be able to explain how or why it does what it does. [b]Given all of the above issues, and the problem that the Blight has a poor grasp of language to begin with, some of the information about the Blight itself must be viewed with skepticism.[/b]

So far, all of her takers – Magnaporthe, Cerion, and Arthonia – are better examples of how [i]not[/i] to write than anything else. Despite her Guild’s shortcomings, she refuses to give up on her passion project, and is determined to turn her Guild members into quality authors one day. As one of the largest dragons in the lair, he’s intimidating enough to get this position by default. His golden scales are extremely reflective, and he glitters in the sunlight like he’s covered in sequins. One would think this would make him less intimidating, but it only blinds his enemies. What better way to start this off than with joke art of my fanfiction-writing glitterbomb of a dragon? :P I'm looking for joke art of [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=194498&tab=dragon&did=18496821]my darling Mags[/url], and I decided to get the ball rolling last night by drawing some myself. I went from "silly, but still looks like my dragon" to "even sillier" to "oh no I'm using the mouse" to "oh no I'm using [i]the trackpad[/i]."
