escapades of the eclipsed.
The Clan of the Eclipsed Moon is nothing but a remnant, a reminder of the past that embraces the future. Heed this warning, traveler, for a seemingly cheerful disposition hides even the darkest secrets.
Tucked carefully away in the folds of time is a massive cavern. A town is encircled by a bottomless ravine, its sole purpose to retain lies, rumors, and a dark secret older than the dragon race itself.
Thick layers of pain and suffering coat everything in a dusty veil, from the humble stone dwellings to the inhabitants themselves. An underground river tumbles across broken bridges, old foundations of beautiful mansions, shredded flags- all dreams ripped and torn in the current.
Its name is the River Styx.
Dragons from the Clan come here to toss away their hopes, the light that has carried them through their lives- rotting flower bouquets they never got to present to their love, fresh food that they would never get to taste- for they are choosing a new life.
When a dragon’s Light- their wish, their lifelong hope- is whisked away by the Styx, they swear to become one with the Shadowbinder. They are now her honor guard, the defendants of her legacy. They have lost their Light, and are now one with the army who will survive The Rising.
The Rising will have no survivors from the past- only survivors from the future, for the day The Rising occurs is the day Sornieth will fall. Dragons will be pitted against their own kind, forced to raze their homeland to the ground while the Mother of Evil and Matriartch of the Shade, Akuji, stirs.
Her very presence causes even Hope to fall to her knees, Life to cower behind Death. She convinces the Deities to lose purpose in living, tells their great lungs to expel their final breath.
However, the Clan of the Eclipsed Moon embraces the future, and treats it as an equal to the past, even present. History repeats herself, and we will not fall victim to her luring clutches, just as we will not fall victim to The Rising.
Ten deities will crumble, becoming one with the past. One will survive, destined for the future, defended by only strong ties, teamwork, and dedication.
Beware, Foreigner. Rumors have it that Akuji is amongst us. You will fade, and we will not fade with you.
