A Little Lore Shop

"Settle down, settle down now. It's time for a story," Oakenshield rumbles with his voice full of wisdom, hatchlings of varying ages scattering all around him to listen. Once they're all quiet and still, he continues.

Welcome all!
I've decided to open up a little lore writing shop! Pretty much all of my 3 pages of dragons have their own lore written for them, if not a lot, then at least a little! I love giving a dragon a backstory and a unique personality and I'd love to share that with anyone who'd like their dergs to receive some attention. ♥

Payment

For right now, I'm just gonna go based on donations/tips! I don't know what I want to ask as far as prices yet, so there's that. As long as you donate something (minimum of 900t) I'll be happy!

A Few Rules
Please ping me in your post.
I'm not subbed here because this thread stays pretty quiet usually.

1. Please be sure to credit/link back to me for any lore you receive. ♥
2. Feel free to pick a couple of your dragons for consideration, but keep in mind, I will only write for one at a time! I encourage that if you'd like me to write for more than one of your dragons, come back again for a second or third, or even a fourth! ♥ This keeps me from feeling too overwhelmed, and I appreciate your consideration of that.

I'm offering short, headcanon-like lore, or more long, drawn out stories. I'll give an example of both with these two dragons:

Here's a start for Thundervolf! I love her song. QwQ It really inspired this. xD If it isn't quite her, just say so. c: I can always rethink her a bit! I'm gonna do one more of your ladies, but I've gotta step out for a while.

Thundervolf. She comes from an old, forgotten family, years before her clan existed. Even she doesn’t know it, but there’s a fire in her veins that gives her a rather dangerous sense of adventure. She isn’t a careless dragon, but she’s been known to pridefully take on more than any one dragon should probably try to handle. Thundervolf can tell stories of long journeys across Sornieth, where she might’ve run into rogue dragons and some of the most fearsome creatures. She fights boldly, her elemental magic very strong and practiced.

Aside from her fierce adventuring, Thundervolf is also very kind and gentle. When she isn’t occupied with the electricity of her ancestors calling her to a new place, she spends her time collecting and drying different flowers and herbs. Some are surprised by her little habit, but she finds it soothing, a way to come down from the highs of a warrior’s bravado.

Aaand, for Foster! :D I was gonna write for Fei originally, but I got an idea for Foster that blossomed much nicer in my opinion. xD

Foster came to join the clan by accident. She was a sturdy dragon, despite her size. She often wonders if this is why other dragons tend to skirt around her when passing by. Maybe her Plague roots intimidate them, who knew? Most of the time she appreciates not being bothered with trivial small talk. Foster finds that in general, small talk only causes trouble in the long run. The fae prefers to go about her business without having other noses stuck into the middle of it. Foster isn't unkind, she simply prefers her solitude and her freedom to do what she may.

What the other dragons don't realize is that Foster's aura is what makes them so uncomfortable. She practices a centuries old kind of magic, one that leaves a sticky residue about her energy. It isn't harmful, to herself or to others, but it is the reason that she doesn't make friends easily. Other dragons see her as a threat, but it's mostly just a facade. Or is it?

If you don't like, just lemme know! I like the idea of Foster looking more intimidating than she really intends to be. Unless, maybe, she has some kind of twist up her sleeve? I figure that might leave room for you to expand if you ever decide to. c:

Okay, here's what I've come up with! I hope you like it, I really love this couple of yours QwQ They're adorable.

Silver let out a sigh, thinking back to when things were much simpler for him. Before joining his new clan in Wind, the noc had always had a bit of a sour attitude. He never really cared for anyone's well being, always sort of wandering on his own. He scavenged and made a career out of selling the interesting things he would find and eventually began to travel to sell his "products". In all honesty, it wasn't long before he met Diva. She was loud and slightly obnoxious, but she was beautiful and Silver fell in love with her personality. She was the reason he stayed.

Recently, Diva had heard word of a new jewelry craftdragon, one that could just about preform miracles of beauty. Or at least, that was the rumor. As Silver flew, he shook his head in doubt. He knew that it was probably a scam, but he loved his wonderful Diva so, and couldn't resist heading out in hopes of impressing her with something new.

"Besides," he said to himself, shrugging, "even if I don't find some miracle of a thing, I can always impress some others with my own wares."

In his many months of traveling and buying and selling, the noc had become very skilled in his profession. He was a smooth talker and could make some trinkets look like much more than they were worth. If he didn't bring back a pretty new necklace, at least he knew he could promise a little extra spending money. The thought made him smile and he changed direction slightly, ready to take on the challenge ahead.
