[nextcol]There lived a small settlement of fishermen by the delta. Over the years the land saw changes to it's governance. The bounty of the waters and lands attracted lesser nobility to built their empire by commissioning a seaport.
The improved accommodations attached merchants far and wide, only to be subjected to unjust trading rules - just as how locals were subjugated for physical labour. Wealthy merchants and a some few from the nobles rejected the heavy handed royalist's rule. An incident soon sparked to overthrow the monarch of that time.
The young heir and his alliance was successful in dissolving the royal court and in it's place, a Mercantile Alliance was installed. The Alliance Leaders only assembles to administer matters of high importance, while guilds are set up under their watch to better channel resources - working alongside guild masters that best represents their expertise.[/columns]

A band of Moon Pilgrims took up residence and set about refurbishing the shrine. The location is shrouded and unseen but sometimes unveiled for outcasts and pariahs seeking refuge.
