If something needed to be done then often a dragon with the skills or interest has stepped up. This has led to some of the clan's needs being unmet (they can't wait until someone volunteers to be the chief), but they make do. [size=5][b]Hematite Hill Outpost History[/b][/size] [columns] [item=banded ironstone] [nextcol] [size=4]Zirkanel and Kyan are the founders of the Hematite Hill Outpost, a small refuge on the harsh Shattered Plains. They welcome any wanderers that stumble across their home, whether they be looking for a place to settle down or a temporary respite on their journey towards the Pillar and the answers they may be seeking.[/size] [/columns] [columns] [size=4]They were both originally from a small but thriving clan that laired within the Cairnstone Rest. Despite taking precautions against the dangers that lurked within its depths, there still came a fateful night when they were overrun by the skeletal terrors. In the darkness and chaos, Zirkanel, a young guard, and Kyan, an apprentice teacher, were swept up by the clan loremaster to help her carry the clan’s records and the mysterious treasure that the stories said had been given to the clan by the Earthshaker to protect(*). They reached the dubious safety of the Shattered Plains but the loremaster’s wounds were too severe and she passed away soon after. Her dying words were asking them to carry on the burden of guarding the treasure, and of course they promised they would. Here they could set up a protected home, which could shelter any survivors of their clan as well as any others that wandered their way.[/size] [/columns] [size=2](*)Spoiler: Of course it's not. It's probably something left over from the the second age, but the clan will have to undergo brave adventures and thrilling research to discover what it is.[/size]

a shadow caster + earth glass cannon (mire flyer stats)
and then new guy was big enough to pull his own weight

stat newby definitely, I didn't actually use eliminate too often on the dragon I was leveling tho
mostly only when there was a bigger melee pack than I could easily take out in a single round, and I wasn't getting any breath refunds on it anyway
like my setup is uh
healer in first slot - newbie in middle - glass cannon in third
healer rallies cannon, newbie scratches 2 enemies, cannon eliminates scratched enemies
cannon has one more turn, so he can scratch another enemy -or- if someone was low on HP at the beginning of the fight then my healer could have healed first turn and cannon could have rallied before his 2 elims
if there were 3+ melees, cannon's third attack scratch would hit the third enemy, newbie would scratch or elim the same guy, and healer would finish it off with a contuse or shroud
i'm not sure if i'm explaining it well but i kept a nice steady pace with HP and breath fairly high so it seems to work well for me at least

one thing i did when I got bored leveling my latest guy was to use him for leveling fodder in lower leveled venues, since he had his elim already
like I did a lot of volcanic vents
it's slower xp than just dragging em through higher venues but kind of nice for a break
