Under the snow?
He was in the Ashfall Wastes! He was in the warm! The warm and dry, not this- this- this wet sopping lonely slush!
He had to find his family. He streched out his wings further- they were nearly fully grown, but he still couldn’t fly. He had to walk, but he would find his family.
Zida huffed, running across the ashen snow. She hated the Wastes. The shifting underneath played havoc with the landscape. The surface moved and separated the underneath and separated families and separated landmarks-
She couldn’t find anyone! They were on the border of the Wastes now - when they went into hibernation, they were in the Emberglow Hearth! Now they were next to the Great Forge!
She had told her parents it was a bad idea! She had told them!
Now all she could do is hope she found the others in time.
