So you are the folks that seemed interested in writing Sea Belp story stuff with me. Perry I pinged you too because I aim to make this as much for lore and ideas as it is for Rp, hence why this is in the Creative Corner and not the Rp thread. Celestial I am also adding you here so you can add this page to the main thread if you like and so you can ping us here with any additional lore you may have. Also if possible I'd really love to have some idea about sizes alteast for the belps that he four of us writers have. It will help me design and idea of setting and how Big a location I need for the belps I have as well as how much lair space they take for everyone else. Things like, the size of house cat, smaller then a toaster, bigger then a school bus, are really helpful to me because I understand exsact meter/feet measure ments may be hard to pin down. [b]Back to the thread! [/b]I do not really have a Set format so much as I Very much wanted to find a community of like minded writers that also love Belps. Because I adore rps and tend to just make characters for all the random creatures I collect. That being said I have an Idea for at least starting this thread off. Let's start of with Introductions! An Image of your Belps, name if they have names. (If you want Help with names you can of course ask us.) A bit of personality or anything you can really tell us about that blep and then the same for the next one. That followed by any lore you have and lastly your caretaker, a bit of personality or anything you may have on them that deals with Belps, maybe how they came to be caretaker, how your lair feels about belps and so on and so forth. Then you might just post what you are looking for from this thread. An expenditure of lore? Character development? Fellow people to nerd out about Belps to? Ect. Because I find that though a lot of people love Belp we don't seem to really Talk to Each other. I have a bit of a busy day but I'll have my version of the information above up soon to use as a rough guideline. You of course can put your information up in any order. [size=4][b]The Belps!![/b][/size] Killi-wog [img]https://i.gyazo.com/5da089f80838494e5dbb138aaf7e6a0e.png[/img] Adventurous and Frisky, Killi-wog is by far the Fastest of my bleps. She is quite a handful but more playful then she is malicious. She is also the smallest of bleps and tends to lean towards the reef, tidepools and beach for her fun. Sometimes she will venture into deeper waters to commune with Karunda using him something like a massive underwater surfboard. She was quite happy to receive my third belp into her reef as they are compatible size to keep close company. Killi-wog is also my only predatory Belp, thought she doesn't eat her own kind she is partial to little fish and shrimp, she seems Interested in other crustaceans but cannot find a way to get threw their shells just yet. She is a very smart belp and shows and aptitude for learning simple games and tricks preformed for donations of crab meat. Original Prompt: Peacock Mantis Shrimp Blep! These colorful guys can see many more colors than the human eye, and display hues as vibrant and brilliant as the coral reefs they live in. Kurunda/Kurinda [img]https://i.gyazo.com/f8cd6e726a478e0ee9e3f11c84c25b34.png[/img] An especially large whale shark Belp, Kurunda is the most even tempered of my three. Being so large he tends to cruise farther out in the water then the others but will from time to time haul himself onto the beach for attention. He's rather curious and likes to see what is going on, on the land. Adult, mild tempered, curious adult. He is weak to the allure of Krill and seems to like the color salmon. Original Prompt:Whale Shark Belp These guys are almost as large as a Spirit Blep, making them one of the largest out of all the normal Bleps. They’re frequently seen cruising leisurely alongside whale sharks, and feeding on the krill that drifts on the currents. Pào-Lóng (Chinese name translates to bubble dragon) [img]https://i.gyazo.com/9be4936203627814566926d64fd2a24a.png[/img] Pào is so far the smartest or at least the most articulate of their intellect. They show potential for understanding and reciprocating language. Not with vocals but with gestures. A very clever blep they are one for games, they very much like interaction and puzzle solving. Fairly nice temperament, friendly but a little cautious. VERY good at communicating and bonding with the other bleps, the others seem to follow Pao quite readily. Original Prompt: Bubble belp This blep collects bubbles! Little cracks between its scales constantly blow bubbles, which float up and up through the water until they get caught beneath the blep’s constantly spread wings. Nobody knows why it collects bubbles, or why it even creates bubbles in the first place, but it’s adorable. [b]Lair Living Space:[/b] The Belps live in a combine ecosystem where all the none hostile familiars and other adoptive species have room to intermingle grow and thrive. They have a specific Beach and cove location that they share with a race of seal like creatures known as Drealonds (just ask if you've like to see a few). Otherwise their area is largely there own just to give them some peace from the rest of the rather large lair. The Bleps are still rather new and the lair is currently working on making their habitat more integrated but the process takes time. The oceanic cove and also sports a well established Reef habitat on the eastern end of it and a brackish dragon made stream runs into a lake on the opposite side of their habitat. Further up the beach the habitat gives way to grass and floral blooms and is dominated by a rocky mount with a well cared for tunnel threw it. This is connected to the rest of the lair and has a magical safe guard on it to prevent curious belps or Delfonds going where they should not go. The Drealonds have their own habitat connected to the Belp Habitat by a series of short underwater tunnels. [b]Lastly! The Caretakers![/b] I have Three Caretakes that handle the bleps. This is her adult form as I had to get a dragon for her. She is actually a spring court fae that has taken a liking to these little guys and has such disguised herself as a dragon for this. She is a rather Shy person but is Very good with mystical creatures and small animals. She is a stone angel, you can see a picture of her and a few of the Drealonds in her profile. Ragnaroc is the primary caretaker of the Drealonds and thus works closely with Primrose as they joint watch each others species. Ragnaroc is....stoic, she comes off as cold and not always the friendly short, but you just gotta crack her shell. She and her familiars do most of the construction for these habitats. Lastly we have Minerva [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=8184490] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/81845/8184490_350.png[/img] Minerva is both young and old, full of heart and the head Overseerer of all the magical and non-magical denizens of the lair whom cannot speak for themselves. She's kind at heart and takes her time but is also young and rather full of vigor when inspired. [/url]

Here are my bleps! They don't have all to much lore, but what they do have I'm excited to improve ^-^ This is sort of a constant WIP xD All bleps are currently saved in a deviantart sta.sh until I can get them a proper toyhou.se page. (Their image will be here, though :) ) [b]Main bleps (open to RPing with these! Original prompt: This blep is the spirit of the Pacific Ocean. It makes its home among tropical islands, so its scales have adopted the color of white sand. Its wings are composed entirely of water, and they wax and wane with the changing tides. Bubbles and hibiscus petals orbit the Blep’s body. On its skin are tribal markings that resemble those of the native islanders (we don’t know which came first). It is the largest out of the Spirit Bleps. Name: Natia (A pacific islander name meaning "hidden" Preferred Gender/Pronouns: Female, she/her Why did she take that name?: She loves to hide disguised as a human and connect with the islanders that sail in her waters. She is rarely seen in her true form, and the islanders consider any sighting of her a blessing. Personality: Natia is actually rather shy, despite her potent power and influence. She prefers and day alone with the sand and the flora over ruling a people or gloating to others. I changed the original prompt, so I won't copy it here ^-^ Instead, have a modified prompt: This blep was born on land due to an unusually early low tide on his birthday. This abnormality somehow cursed him to the fate of having lungs for breathing on land instead of the gills of normal bleps. He was quickly labeled a failure and abandoned to fend for himself. After a few rough years of trial and error, he managed to fashion a snorkel of sorts to channel his magic. He learned to use this device to breath properly underwater, and now survives easily, though he is still exiled from blep community. Name: Mallory (means ill-fated) Preferred Gender/Pronouns: They don't care what you call him, as their particular subspecies is actually genderless. Usually goes by he/him and occasionally they/them, but doesn't get upset if he is called a girl. Why did he take that name: He obviously didn't choose that unfortunate name for himself, he was branded with it by his disappointed parents. Although it is negitive, he believes he deserves it, and it is the only remnant of his family left for him to cling to. Okay folks! All my information is up!
I am ready to chatter! I will also be posting in the first post Current Events. Meaning the stuff My lair is working on to help you draw inspiration for your own lairs and bleps.
As well as giving you options and prompts for interaction.
This is going to be a Joint effort though so you will need to tell me if you want to interact.

Lastly I Will try and add Your current events to the overall current events but it may also be a good idea to tag your current events under your blep page.

Celestial I don't know if your dragons Also have Belps/lore ect so I wanted to include you as well. I remember you were partial to that Southern Ocean Belp and you probably have one from each of the blasts.

Hm, well now that we’ve got an official lore/RP thread i think I’ll release some short lore tidbits about Bleps!
I’ve always imagined most Bleps to be between the size of a hamster to the size of a warhorse, though most of them fall into the housecat-small pony range. Usually Spirit Bleps are the largest although normal Bleps who take their appearance from large animals can also reach similar sizes (like whale shark Bleps).
They’re classified as a single species, though it’s not clear whether they’re mammals, reptiles, or something else entirely, since Bleps have many variations. Most Bleps have scales, fine feathers, or fur. Usually their fins are made of a translucent membrane. They reproduce by laying eggs, and usually choose a nesting site underwater. Bleps often display odd nesting site choices, as a clutch of eggs can be seen in normal places, such as in a hidden alcove in a coral reef, or buried in the shore’s cool sand. Eggs are also found on the backs of humpback whales, inside hydrothermal vents, or even floating on the currents. As a result eggs sometimes wash ashore, which is where we get those eggs you can purchase in the store.

I always thought they were amphibians or at least some of them. Have like bi-chambered lungs or whatever those are called that allow them to breath air and water but due to their moist skin have to return to the water after a time. Lay gets like Salamanders, newts and frogs.....THIIIIIS GOES OUT THE WINDOWS. WAIT SOME HAVE FUR?

Pao-long is an exclusive blep. Do those ones tend to be larger? Like miniature pony sized? The whale Shark blep is whale sharped sized and I'd assume the mantis shrimp one is mantis shrimp sized.
