Dread knots and builds in your stomach - something about this dragon tells you that he is absolutely, positively, [i]not[/i] to be trifled with. "I...I'm sorry. I don't know how I..." "Idiot," the pearlcatcher inturrupts with a flick of his tail. His eyes pierce you from beneath his wolf cape. "You ate one of the Glowshrooms, didn't you." He sounds tired. "I...I don't know, I -" "Typical. You're experiencing memory loss. Ugh. [i]Nobody[/i] who is familiar with these woods eats the Glowshrooms, you know." You shuffle your feet. "I...I'm not from here." The pearlcatcher scoffs. "Way to state the obvious. Why don't you move along. It's not safe here." He glances around, taking in the massive tree trunks and the choking vines. "It hasn't been for a while." You open your mouth to say something - to explain yourself, perhaps - but you're interrupted by a loud [i]thud[/i] behind you. You whip around to see the source of the noise. I hit my head." A massive dirt-brown guardian winces, brushing some bioluminescent moss from his horns. Huge, tusklike fangs jut from his lower jaw. You notice that he doesn't have a beard. "Marax, I hope you're being nice to our guest?" The pearlcatcher - Marax - says nothing, but the way he sheepishly folds his wings gives him away. The guardian seems to be used to and unaffected by the icy presence of the smaller dragon. "Now, Marax, you know that's no way to treat our guests!" The guardian seems remarkably cheerful. "Please, allow me to show you around! All are welcome in the Lunate clan." You feel a bit put-off by the guardian's calm and friendly attitude. Maybe it's a trap? It has to be a trap. "Oof, forgive me - I forgot to introduce myself! My name's Ravon, and I'm the Patirarch of the Lunate clan." Ah. So that explains the pearlcatcher's submissive behavior. "It's...nice to meet you?" The guardian gives you a toothy grin. "Very nice to meet you as well! I apologize for Marax's behavior, he can be a bit cold to newcomers. Not to worry, though! One of these enchanted crystals - the Gem Tablet - is the Lunate Clan's main meeting area. The tablet is parallel to the ground, held up with stone pillars - much like a very large table. Enchanted runes are inscribed in the surface. Community meals are held here, as are meetings and large social gatherings.
