Clan Guardianite is the name of the small territory of dragons who reside around the rocky coastline of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, bordered by both the Ashfall Wastes and the Shifting Expanse. The clan is led by Bonnie under the guidance of Thorn and Thistle, who decide on which paths the clan will take. The clan functions more like a large free-spirited community than a hierarchy, and the residents are notoriously welcome to give their opinions and views to higher powers on how to improve the clan and life. However so, attempted coups are not easily done as seen in the past with one notorious incident ending with the forceful removal of a criminal group to outside of the Clan's borders.

The most noticeable part of the territory is the massive system of mineral-rich caves that run from their openings at the Sea and into the jagged land. It was these caves that were mined to near extinction by Hematite, Emerald and their small mining community, and are still in the process of recovering its crystals and magic to this day. The most commonly found mineral in these caves is raw Gypsum. Gypsum

The "Capital" of Clan Guardianite territory - Menireach Town - has benefits from its location on a borderline: allowing easy trade routes between the three regions and onwards towards the Sunbeam Ruins to the east or Windswept Plateau to the west. Most of Menireach's architecture consist of wooden-built or old sun-baked clay homes, although with the increasing size of the town and boom in income more comfortable brick and stone buildings are being built and the older houses renovated or demolished for safety concerns. The largest development is the grand and ancient Tasg-Lanna Hall which houses Bonnie and progenitors Thorn and Thistle with their son Miracle. The Hall was once an old Second Age temple of worship but has been converted into a magnificent Library that houses the knowledge and lessons of Thorn and Thistle as well as chronicles from other scholars, both beastmen and dragons.

One of the most noticeable features carved into the land is the Seoladair Staircase (not to be confused with the Seoladair Steps). This engineered marvel of an ancient Lightning clan long perished has since fallen into Guardianite's hands. Life in Clan Guardianite
lightningmid.png
Economy
Clan Guardianite’s main form of currency is standard dragonmade coins and cut gemstones, although specific dragons accept other forms of money or trade for their wares and services. The clan as a whole earns most of its income from tourism, lodging and the mineral trade, with the uninhabitable caves underneath Menireach Town mined for their Gypsum crystals to be sold to other clans raw or as chalk, plaster or fertiliser. The caves are currently recovering from over-exploitation by the clan.

Health and Medicince
The town is not short of medically trained dragons. Should you fall ill or are injured whilst in the territory you will likely be sent to see doctor Valentine, a specialist in minor ailments, poisoning, and infections. Valentine was trained by Ventaxia, a former battle medic in his various lives. The resident mortician is Dach who is based in Old Town.

Religion & Beliefs
The clan as a whole has no religious ties and welcomes dragons no matter their beliefs. Some dragons have an extremely close bond to their deity and may be considered the deity’s representative, whilst others may worship a deity that was not of their birth nest like Namornik or is atheist or agnostic. Due to rumours and safety concerns surrounding them, Shade-aligned dragons are usually questioned about their motives before being accepted into the clan but face little-to-no discrimination otherwise.
Family Life & Settling Down
Many dragons have their own families or groups and tend to be rather close-knit to each other. New dragons are always welcome to join the clan whether it be permanently or temporarily, as there are rooms to rent in-town that are large enough to accommodate many different sizes and shaped dragons. Emerald has taken up the role of helping and introducing new residents to settle in and befriending them should they feel left out of the clan.
Pets, Beastclans & Non-dragons
Pets are accepted and common amongst the residents from tiny cats to even a Roc. The clan as a whole is friendly but wary towards the Beastclans. Bonnie does have peaceful intentions for the nearby Maren and Longneck clans and respects their wishes to leave their territory alone.
Clan Defense
Charlotte, a decorated lancer, leads a small band of fellow-minded fighters who are ready to protect the clan they love. These dragons include Charlotte, the thief-ranger Lungwort, the sorcerer Jalen, the sharpshooter Venandi, the warrior-princess Caitria, the explosive Manticore and the young Fiorsa.

Warnings and Dangers
Living in an unusually mixed-Flight region and close to the ocean can pose natural dangers to the residents in Guardianite territory. Sandstorms and dust devils are a frequent nuisance to the town though the intensity of them in recent times have been thankfully low. Tsunamis are another natural threat that is taken into consideration.

Clan Guardianite Timeline 1st Age “The Forming Age” • A great chaos erupts in the darkness of the galaxy in the form of billions of star fragments. From this event four great dragon-like creatures are born. The areas that will be inhabited by the various clans in history - along with the rest of the planet Sornieth - are formed by these First Four and ensuing Deities born from their warring. • The Deities cease fighting to prevent the Shade, a frightening ethereal mass that devours magic, from destroying their world. To let Sornieth heal from their infighting, they seal themselves inside a gigantic pillar. 2nd Age “The Godless Age” • The Tasg-Lanna tribe is formed and quickly claims the gypsum caves and surrounding land. The tribe keeps them in their possession throughout the ages. The tribe becomes very wealthy from mining the gypsum and builds many structures (including the cliff-side fortress that will later become Neodril Ruins and the temple that becomes the foundation for the Tasg-Lanna Hall). • The Tasg-Lanna tribe mines the gypsum caves to extinction. Bankruptcy ensues, leading to a civil war in the tribe which ends only when the Reactor explodes, taking everything and everyone with it and birthing the Arcanist. 3rd Age “The Rebirth Age” • The area that was inhabited the Tasg-Lanna tribe remains uninhabited through this age, and the remains of their civilization withers away, buried under numerous landslides and dust storms. The nearby area that would become Shoredeep Presage is explored and eventually inhabited by Maren ancestors. • Beastclans rise as the dominant species of Sornieth. Harpy's ancestors, Maren, Serthis, Centaur, Longneck and Talonok all create their own civilizations and live seperetaly but in relative peaceful co-existence. • The Arcanist shatters the pillar in an attempt to defeat the returning Shade, scattering its remnants across the world. Dragonkind would be brought into existence by the awoken Deities and their first dragons, the Ancients, bring forth the Modern Age. Clan Guardianite Timeline
watermid.png
1st Age “The Forming Age”
• A great chaos erupts in the darkness of the galaxy in the form of billions of star fragments.

2nd Age “The Godless Age”

The Tasg-Lanna tribe is formed and quickly claims the gypsum caves and surrounding land.

3rd Age “The Rebirth Age”
• The area that was inhabited the Tasg-Lanna tribe remains uninhabited through this age, and the remains of their civilization withers away, buried under numerous landslides and dust storms.

Beastclans are scattered by these new draconic creatures and hurry to master the elements before their races are obliterated. The war between beasts and dragons begins.

The Early Modern Age
Clan Myrstam - a giant clan descending from Lightning Flight’s ancients - was founded in the beginning of this Age. It expanded to include the area of Tasg-Lanna as an outpost, building a sea lock and a steam railway and destroying most of the remaining 2nd age ruins that weren’t buried. The outpost and railway - along with the clan - is subsequently destroyed by a large, co-ordinated Beastclan attack, leaving one hatchling survivor to survive into the modern day.

• Thorn and Thistle are created by the Arcanist in the Starfall Isles as Progenitor dragons.

The Modern Age to the Present Day
• Centuries passed, and a community was established on top of Myrstam’s ruins with the intention to build a clan to mine the caves for their gypsum. It was founded by an unnamed Guardian and named Clan Guardianite in honour of uniting the ragtag dragons in the area. Present day “Old Town'' was established and business in the industry boomed.

• Dragons soon moved from the shabby Old Town to the newly-built, modern Menireach Town. Some stayed behind and the area remains inhabited to the present day. The founder of Clan Guardianite disappears without a word.

• A crisis in the making finally brings Clan Guardianite to its knees when the gypsum is over-mined and the caves are left unable to replenish themselves. Dragons begin leaving en masse as both towns crumble into poverty and jobs are cut. Criminals take the opportunity to seize the leaderless Clan and run rampant as honest civilians fend for themselves with Emerald uniting with those who would follow her into the newly unburied but ruined Tasg-Lanna Hall.

• Emerald attempts to take back both towns in various rebellions but is beaten back until one outlaw, Venandi, has a change of heart and reclaims Old Town back for Clan Guardianite. He is shot attempting to take back Menireach and ‘retires’ under Emerald’s orders.

• A migrating clan - led by Thorn under Namornik’s direction - stumbles upon the area. They are quickly rescued from the criminals by Emerald and her small band of townsfolk. Combining their forces - and with Venandi semi-healed - they make a stand to finally take back what is theirs once and for all. The majority of criminals flee with one killed, and at last after nearly half a decade Clan Guardianite reclaims its home. One small group with a thirst for vengeance remains nearby.

• Old Town and Menireach Town are restored and rebuilt, respectively. Menireach becomes the official Capital of the Clan with Bonnie being sworn in as the new Clan Leader of Clan Guardianite by popular demand and through Emerald’s blessing. The town rebuilds its economy slowly through tourism, restoration of 2nd and 3rd Age relics and local businesses. Several of the gypsum caves are sealed to allow them to regenerate in peace.

• Thorn ascends to the Progenitor's realm to be with her other half and leaves behind a son and adoptive daughter, content that her clan is now in safe hands.

• One resident of Clan Guardianite - Melladion - discovers a hidden threat originating from the sealed gypsum caves more dangerous to the Clan than mere criminals. So begins his war to halt or destroy 00000.HIVE773.4.
