My name is Crysi, I’m an aspiring author who fell in love with making stories for my dragons. Since I’ve been writing more and more stories for my drakes, I decided it would be a good idea to make a hub, or library, to keep everything organized. (My irl job is literally making sure stories stay in their places, after all.) I’d noticed that Lore Hubs are not uncommon here, so I decided to work one up to hold all of my stories in one location. This part, clearly, isn’t in character, and I doubt that many of my dragons will be speaking directly to us as an audience, so if that’s the kind of Lore you enjoy, I will unfortunately not be providing that. I will, however, provide some slow, irregularly updated chunks of lore, completely out of chronological order… sometimes single stories, sometimes biographies, sometimes multi-chapter installments. I don’t quite know what all will appear here, but you all are very welcome to follow along if you’d like. : ) I’m quite talkative, so don’t be afraid to ask me questions about my dragons or stories. I’d love to hear your feedback, and will do my best to reply to everyone I hear from. (This means you can post with replies, questions, etc. on this thread. Feel free! I'd love that!) Just to have a sort of… standard here, I do have a few rules I’d like everyone to follow while here, and they are listed below. Other than that, happy reading! Welcome, Reader, to the Lore Hub of Clan Xelestial!

My name is Crysi, I’m an aspiring author who fell in love with making stories for my dragons. Since I’ve been writing more and more stories for my drakes, I decided it would be a good idea to make a hub, or library, to keep everything organized. (My irl job is literally making sure stories stay in their places, after all.)

I’d noticed that Lore Hubs are not uncommon here, so I decided to work one up to hold all of my stories in one location.

I’m quite talkative, so don’t be afraid to ask me questions about my dragons or stories. I’d love to hear your feedback, and will do my best to reply to everyone I hear from. (This means you can post with replies, questions, etc. on this thread. Feel free! I'd love that!)

Just to have a sort of… standard here, I do have a few rules I’d like everyone to follow while here, and they are listed below.

Other than that, happy reading!

- Be respectful of others. -
Don’t bash on someone’s opinion. Everyone is allowed to like/dislike anything about my stories that they want, and everyone is allowed to voice their opinions. That said, if your opinion is just plain rude, curses excessively, or calls people (other than me) names, don’t post it here. That’s not respectful in the least.

- Don’t ask when the next installment is. -
I don’t know. I have no schedule, I have a full life, and I do this on the side. I simply can’t promise that anything will be written in a decent amount of time. Updates will come when updates come. If you want to follow along, you’ll have to deal with that.

- FR Cannon (probably) isn’t (my) cannon -
I started my lore before I knew too much about Sornieth or the Beastclans… so most of this is… not super cannon. I’ve moved some locations around, added a desert where there previously was none… that sort of thing. TL;DR: I headcannon a lot and make the actual cannon bend to my will.

Kei6XEZ.png

- No, I can’t just add your dragon to my lore. -
My lore is a tightly woven, deeply thought out affair. I will not put any others’ dragons into my lore, especially not as a core aspect of it. So please don’t ask. I could potentially mention a clan or a dragon if you really got on my good side, behaved, and were interested… but that is highly unlikely. So just…. Don’t ask.

- Critiques are always welcome! -
I’m always looking to improve my writing. If you see anything wrong, wonky, or weird about any of my stories, let me know! I’d love to talk about it with you, make improvements, and grow as a storyteller! I probably won’t be proofreading these stories too much, so if you catch a mistake, let me know about it so it can be fixed, as well. Thanks in advance.

She took the other’s heart in hand and ripped it into heartache. Then, they escaped together, where their love would not be frowned upon, and they could live the rest of their days in peace. Away from both of their pasts.
Related: Adhara, Allseia, Daesora Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Allseia: The Heartache. Coming from a long line of seers and warriors, it was expected that Allseia gain… any powers whatsoever. She never did. The only thing that ever spoke to her was her heart, her aching heart that longed for a love she chould never have. And so, she ran away, heartache and all. And she brought her brother with her.
Related: Adhara, Allneia, Daesora Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Anille: The Spirit Guard. Many think that she is nothing more than Arduin’s imaginary friend, simply a breath on the wind, a whisper through the trees. She is, however, all too real. She is his guide and guard until Arduin can find his own forest. No one knows what will happen when her task is completed.
Related: Arduin Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Ansys: Heir of the Clan. Ansys was born to Chysis and Izanai, their first child. She grew up alongside Gidget, and grew to have a great sense of adventure. She now roams the world, meeting new dragons and bringing home relics from other regions.
Related: Adhara, Chysis, Gidget, Izanai Stories: The Sisters
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Arduin: The Spirit. Forest spirits are rarities, especially newborn ones. Regardless, Arduin was born. As a spirit, he is strong in both wind and earthly magics, and frequently uses his magic to play harmless tricks on travelers. He met Ansys in his forest at one point, and easily befriended her. He is now searching for a forest to claim as his own.
Related: Anille, Ansys Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Chysis: The Clan Mother. She was tossed in a storm, and healed by Galyx. The Imperial sent her out to create a clan from nothing, and she complied. Now, she manages the clan’s activities, personally greeting new members and helping them settle in.
Related: Ansys, Izanai, Galyx, Gidget, Klyde Stories: The Egg, The Flight Home, The Sisters
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Daesora: The Medium. Coming from a long line of seers and warriors, it was expected that he was to become a medium of immesurable power, able to speak with the dead and exalted with no barriers. What was not expected, however, was Daesora running away from home with his sister and her mate, negotiating his way onto a pirate ship, and choosing to live in a small, unknown clan in the middle of nowhere. But he did. And he would do it a thousand times over.
Related: Adhara, Allneia, Allseia Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Emphira: the Empath. Her father is insane, her mother is insane to stay with him, and they all are powerful psychics with unique abilities. As an Empath, she is far more in tune with the energies around her. She is traveling in an attempt to avoid her family’s history and reputation. She found her way to Xelestial after the energies in the clan drew her there. She often converses with Izanai and Daesora, the other psychics of the clan.
Related: Daesora, Emporo, Izanai Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Emporo: The Witch. Emporo is a bright dragon, always upbeat and very curious. As an illusionist, he has never known any other magically gifted dragons, and drew Emphira to him with his energies from a long distance away. She now ‘teaches’ him magic, and in return he makes her energies balanced and bright.
Related: Emphira Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Galyx: The Elder. An old breeder, his lair became the new lair for the whole clan. He challenged an abandoned and injured Chysis to create a new clan, and now watches over them from below. He often tells stories of his past life, and will listen to any woe a dragon can provide.
Related: Chysis, Glow Stories: The Egg
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Gidget: The Crafter. Gidget was rescued as a hatchling by Chysis, and grew up alongside Ansys. She has a way with crafting, and has created a variety of steampunk gear to assist the other dragons in their travels. She also found and nursed back to health Glow after his accident, and he now acts as her assistant.
Related: Ansys, Chysis, Glow, Izanai Stories: The Sisters
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Glow: The Shattered Star. Glow’s past is not a pretty one, and he prefers not to share it, even when it haunts his memories to this day. He was found by Gidget after narrowly escaping the hell that was his past. She nursed him back to health, and he fell deeply in love. Glow often confides in Galyx, as the old Imperial was also a breeder in the past.
Related: Galyx, Gidget Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Grace: The Stormbound. A supremely gifted mage, his wings turned to crystal and his body was covered in gemstones from the pure might of his magic. It was then that he chose to enhance himself with technology to gain greater control over his innate power. He is also easily mistaken for female, and has a great time messing with those that assume incorrectly. He met Klyde on his travels, and joined the mercenary.
Related: Klyde, Miras Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Hamaat: The Guardian. Born in light and called to plague, Hamaat has searched his whole life for his Charge. He found it just in time. Maajhul’s savior and now protector, Hamaat’s singular goal is to protect his prince. His next goal is to reclaim what his prince lost, by any means necessary. Even if it means making deals with pirates.
Related: Adhara, Maajhul Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Inari: The Traveler. Supposedly a sorceress from a distant shore, no one can understand what her goals are. She travels the land, trading bits of songs, dances, and stories for small meals, relics, or tales. What she leaves behind could be connected, but no matter how many attempts are made to trace back her gifts, it seems impossible to track them all down.
Related: Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Izanai: The Clan “Father.” He’s a seer who chose to join the newly forming clan because Chysis interested him. After a while, they became mates. He now acts as a fortune teller, warning the clan of incoming dangers and helping them through trials.
Related: Ansys, Chysis Stories: The Sisters
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Klyde: The Orphan. Chysis found an egg and saved it. She was far too young to make a good mother, however. Klyde left as soon as he was able, becoming a hardened mercenary, wandering the world. Eventually, he came across a certain desert nation in the throws of a political uprising…
Related: Chysis, Izanai, Grace, Miras Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Kraken: The Seaguard. Kraken was born underwater, grew different than other dragons. He is entirely aquatic, and lurks as a mysterious, rumor driven creature of the sea. Adhara has searched long and hard for him, and found him—after a while. Now she calls on him occasionally, to guide their ship through storms.
Related: Adhara Stories: The Sea's Guardian,
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Kryat: The Sureshot. The Lookout for the Scourge, Kryat has a keen eye, and a keener sense of adventure. Piracy runs in his blood; his father was a pirate, and his mother was an amazon. The sea is a part of him, as much as his blood is in his veins. He is an amazing marksman, to boot… though being ashore is… not his favorite thing in the world.
Related: Adhara, Lucreza, Majan, Stories: The Sea's Guardian,
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Lucreza: The Criminal. Lucreza comes from a rather large mafia family. The Vaccaro are a great connection for a pirate crew to have, and Adhara easily allowed Lucreza onboard her ship. Lucreza works as a contact, fiercely negotiating passage and prices where there may otherwise never be any.
Related: Adhara, Kryat, Majan Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Maajhul: The Fallen Prince. Once a prince who was forced to rule before he was ready, Maajhul was forced from his home by a coup. Saved by Hamaat and succeeded by Miras, Maajhul is without a home. With no plan to his future, he has a singular goal in mind: Reclaim his home and his throne. He is lightning fast, a skill that is useful in both relaying orders and thieving from others. His troublemaking tendencies can get him in trouble sometimes, but he knows the Scourge will protect him. His mother taught him how to deconstruct things. He taught himself how to destroy them. A master of dark magics, Miras is the king that took Maajhul’s throne. A seductor, he plays as much with the mind as the body, and uses both to crush his opposition into an almost blissful oblivion.
Related: Hamaat, Maajhul Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Naiae: The Blind Bodyguard. Naiae is a silent dragon, stern and focused in her task. She claims to be Samhain’s bodyguard, but is blind to what almost any other being can see. She is deeply in love with the Dancer, and refuses to admit it, instead hiding behind a mask of stone. Where he goes, so does she. Whatever it was, he now roams the land, dancing wherever he goes. He loves music in all forms, and will dance to almost anything. Naiae travels with him, acting as a bodyguard. He came to the clan due to an invitation from Ansys, and it now functions as a home base for between his travels.
Related: Ansys, Naiae Stories:
[/columns] [columns] [nextcol] Siren: The Enchantress. She appeared one day on a ship, with no explanation. That night, one of the crew vanished. No one could prove the Fae was responsible, but her silence spoke volumes. She was tossed from the ship, and found by Kraken. To this day, she has not said a word around this new crew. And no dragon has vanished. Yet. How he came to know about the clan is unknown, though it could be assumed he knew about Chysis or Izanai at some point. He appeared, he remained, and he began to collect the stories of the clan. He now tends the ever growing library of stories and records the ongoing histories of the clan.
Related: Chysis, Izanai Stories:
[/columns]

Let them live here and flourish. I am lonely, you see, and would appreciate the company.” The Imperial smiled at her, laying back down and looking into her eyes. “I have been alone for too long, little one,” he said gently. “I would like a clan once more.” “I don’t know if I can,” she replied. “I’ve never had a clan before. A crack of thunder shook the world. Lightning lighting the precarious cliffs and columns of rock around her. The rain stung, buffeting her wings with fierce abandon. She clutched the egg tightly to her chest. It was heavy, but she couldn’t leave it. Not alone, not with the beasts that had been there.

But perhaps carrying it was not the best of ideas. She couldn’t stop to regret, however. Her pursuers were close now, she could hear them over the storm. A cliff lay ahead. She could hide there. Maybe.

The egg was too heavy. It was the size of her body, too large for a Fae to carry.

Another flash, and the cliff was too close.

No, Windsinger, please! Protect the egg!

Anything for the egg.

Her body turned, shielding the egg from the impact, but there was a terrifying crunch, and she screamed out in pain.

Her wing was crumpled and torn and the pain was too much and the egg…. The egg!

She pushed off the wall, diving as fast as she could. Rapids around rocks lay below and the egg—NO!

The wind rushed past her ears, the egg lifted slightly, her wings shot out, the pain—Windsinger please—the egg—and it was in her claws again, clutched to her body.

She flapped her wings in vain, please, above the water, not in the water, and she was tossed in the wind.

Curling against the egg, she prayed.

Is that the sea?

For a moment, she was weightless, floating on the wind itself above an endless sea…. And a gust threw her back, back, down, down—darkness.

Kei6XEZ.png

The wind howled. She was in a cave, it seemed. On the floor. Bruised and damaged. Light and rain slipped down the rocks from above.

Too slippery to climb.

Her wing was shattered, torn.

Too injured to fly.

The egg…

Where was the egg?

Lightning exploded into the cave, and there it was. Teetering on the edge of the rocks, the egg shivered in the wind. Purple and ridged, its surface was like muck and—

The wind gusted once again and the egg fell.

“No!” she screeched. The pain exploded as she surged forward, down into the depths of the cave, following the egg.

The egg rolled slowly, pushed along by the wind as it fell. Farther and farther and there was the bottom.

Pale blue illuminated the area here, mixed with purple the light danced slightly in the night, over the surface of the egg… shimmering like the wind that rhythmically passed through.

She collapsed around the egg, holding it close. She was tired, injured, it hurt, but the egg was safe and someone was talking.

“Fae,” the voice boomed around the cavern, enveloping everything. “A long time since someone last came to this place.”

The wall was a dragon.

A huge blue head emerged from the shadows. Bright cyan eyes peeled open slowly, almost glowing in the darkness. A long, serpentine body shifted by the rocks, crystalline purple wings stretching slowly, making the light dance more on the walls.

This dragon was the light.

She moved, hiding the egg behind her small form, eyes wide, injured wing cradled close to her body.

“You are injured, little one. The storm was not kind.”

She cowered. Protect the egg. She had to—

“Come closer, little one, my sight is not what it was.”

Not many could deny that command. She hesitated, taking a slow step forward, scarred black wings shivering.

“I-I’m sorry to intrude, I couldn’t… the storm was just-“

The larger dragon chuckled at that. “Be calm, young one. I will not harm you.”

She couldn’t relax, no matter how hard she tried. The egg was behind her, she had to…
“An egg?” the dragon boomed.

“P-please don’t, I… the egg was… and the storm… the beasts and-“

The dragon melted farther from the shadows, his slow movements shaking off the cobwebs that layered his body and wings. He lowered his head, sinking to her eye level, nodding slowly.

“You have nowhere else to go, so this shall be your home,” the Imperial said firmly. “In return, you will bring me your orphans and outcasts. Let them live here and flourish. I am lonely, you see, and would appreciate the company.”

The Imperial smiled at her, laying back down and looking into her eyes. “I have been alone for too long, little one,” he said gently. “I would like a clan once more.”

“I don’t know if I can,” she replied. “I’ve never had a clan before. I don’t know where to begin.”

“For now, young one, you will rest,” the Imperial breathed gently, a crack of thunder punctuating his words. “You will heal, and you will take care of that egg. When you are healed, you can find us a clan.” He paused, “What is your name, small one?”

She yawned, body weak. “Chysis,” she muttered, “My name is Chysis.”

“A fine name, little one. I am Galyx,” the Imperial said softly. “Now sleep, young one. Heal. You have a long journey ahead of you.”

She nodded, pulling the egg closer to her, exhaustion finally catching up. “Thank you.”

“It is I who should be thanking you.”

She lunged forward, tiny claws wrapping around the loosened rope, pulling with all her strength to hold it down. Tiny toes looped under the rope’s hook, her claws dug into the strong fibers. It wasn’t falling on her now. Rain pelted her face, threatening to skin her where she stood. Her threadbare outfit was useless in this storm, a thin dress turned to rags around her body. The rope tossed in the wind, knocking her from side to side, but if it were to release completely… far worse would happen to the ship. So she held on. The grey waves surged over the edge of the boat, spraying her heavily in seawater. She screamed. Not in fear when she was tossed, hanging between the rope and the hook, supported by small feet and tiny talons over the violent waves. Not in anger when the waves tossed the boat once more, lightning arcing through the sky, thunder shaking the world. Not even in pain when her wing was slammed by another gust of wind, moving the already probably broken bones there. She screamed with exhilaration. The sea was playing with them, they were toys on its surface. The big, mighty dragons who owned the giant ship, the ones who kept her here, who raided armies, who stole and pillaged and plundered… they were simply toys to the sea. Playthings to be tossed around, shifted across the surface until they were claimed by the depths or hung for their crimes. And if they were toys, who was she? A huge paw, almost the size of her torso, wrapped around her midsection, hauling her back on deck. The dragon—Siddion, she realized, an old and grizzled dragon of such mixed species, it was hard to tell if he was more Spiral or Skydancer at this point—caught the rope with his other claw, pulling it against the wind and working to retie it. “Get below deck!” Siddion shouted over the elements. “The deck in a storm is no place for a hatchling!” But it was the perfect place for her. She tried to shout back at him, but the storm swallowed her words. The deck heaved again, and the boat was nearly thrown sideways. She stumbled into the guardrail, latching onto the slick wood. Other dragons dashed around the deck, securing loose items, fighting to keep the mast straight in the tearing wind. Someone screamed something, and when she turned around, back pressed against the rail, wings tucked tight to protect them… She was faced with a wave. The whole ship hung sideways for a second, her heart beat fast in her chest, and she smiled. The wave crashed down, and the boat tumbled over. The sea claimed its toys. Adhara would never really understand how she woke on a shore after that storm. They had been many miles out to sea when the lady of the water claimed their ship. There was no way she should have survived, except by a stroke of dumb luck so powerful it could give a master gambler a run for their money. Or, perhaps it was some spirit of the sea, like the stories told. Rumors in the area spoke of a strange creature, a dragon who was not a dragon, who lived under the sea. One that brought luck. There were reports of it leading fishers to good waters, or pulling treasures from the deep… perhaps dragging a young slave girl from the crash of her captor’s ship? She wasn’t that little girl anymore. Gone were her threadbare clothing and small claws. She’d shaped up quite well, for a ‘slave’ that is. Tall and dark eyed, Adhara carried herself with pride. She wasn’t a Capitan yet, so she couldn’t claim that honor, but she was a master navigator for the Maiden’s Blade; the ship that claimed to be the fastest on the sea. It wasn’t, of course, but it could always claim. “Lass! Wha’s our headin’?” the Captain called. He was a snapper that was far too… energetic for the circumstances. “Dead ahead, Captain, we’re almost there,” she replied. The skies were darkening again, a familiar greyness was rising in the crystal sea. Adhara leaned over the rail to look into the waves, a familiar thrill rising in her stomach. “There be a storm a-brewin’ cap’n. We should turn back,” the first mate growled. An overprotective Guardian, that one. “Keep the heading, sir. We’ll pass safe if the spirits bless us,” Adhara called back. She didn’t even check to see if the Captain was behind her. She was more interested in the shadow that seemed to follow under their ship. She pulled a golden coin from her skirt, rubbing it gently in her paws, breathing a prayer to the creature of the sea. Safe passage would be assured, at least to her. Should the stories be believed, that is. The conversation behind her grew hushed, the Guardian muttering under her breath. “Crazy water demon, that one. ‘er maps might be worth their rum, but ‘er words… Cap’n, we should turn back, tis not safe out this way.” “Nay, I’d like to see how the lass handles herself. Batten the hatches, raise the sails. We got a mother of a storm comin’ in and we be goin’ right through it.” Adhara suppressed a smirk. A headstrong captain was just right for this type of situation. Calls came up from the deck below as the crew rushed to obey their orders, preparing the ship for the oncoming storm. A rhythm rose in their voices, urgent and ready as they rushed. The waves became rougher, beginning to toss the ship as they approached. Adhara leaned to look deep in those waves, searching for the shadow she wished so dearly to see. “Kohaku, brin’ ‘he crew to bones, and lash on! That wall be comin’ close,” the captain called. The first mate, from somewhere down the deck affirmed the orders, and the crew on deck began to thin; only the most experienced remaining, only what was required. A skeleton crew. The captain, short as he was, came to stand near Adhara, glancing into the sea. “You be certa’n about these ocean spirits, don’t you lass?” he asked. Before she could respond, he passed her a lash. “Best lash on an’way. Last thin’ you be wantin’ is to go o’er in a storm.” Adhara took the rope and laced it around her middle, lashing herself to the ship, eyes never leaving the waves. The captain retreated, returning to the helm to oversee the crew. Soon enough, the ship was tossing, rolling over wave after wave. The sun was long gone, a shadow over the sea. The bow sliced through the waves like a knife through butter, the rain poured off the edges of the deck. The crew were tense. Thunder struck someplace, illuminating the frothing waves. Where was the shadow of the sea, though? For what seemed like years, the storm battered them, and there was no sign of the shadow or the creature it belonged to. The Maiden’s Blade was a sturdy ship, however, and it weathered the storm well, all things considered. Lesser ships would have been destroyed long ago. Lesser captains would have avoided the area completely. Luckily, she’d chosen the right ship for this mission. A wave swelled ahead, cries of alarm raised around the crew. This was too large a wave for the boat to crest. Adhara clutched the railing tightly, her claws leaving small grooves in the wood. The spirit would show. It had to. A call to brace came across the deck, but Adhara didn’t hear it. She was more concerned with the shadow in the water that shot forward, and the resulting slice through the wave that followed the movement. That was definitely a creature. A large one. Adhara laughed as the next wave rose, and the storm swallowed the ship. Adhara had not returned to this part of the sea in a long time. The last time she’d been here, she’d gotten a ship swallowed by the waves. Again. Now, however, she had her own ship. Her own crew. She trusted them with her life. Her lookout leapt from the crow’s nest on the mainmast, half gliding, half swinging to the deck. “Kryat, what brings you down?” Adhara asked the coatl. The boy was young, but bright. Piracy ran in his blood. “Storm on the horizon, cap’n,” the boy smirked. “I figur’d we’d be ridin’ it, so down I came.” “She’s on our path?” “Aye, that she be.” “You saw him?” Kryat chuckled, “You mean your sea beast? Aye, he’s below us.” “Good. We’re going to ride that storm,” Adhara pat his shoulder, turning to call to the crew. “Raise the storm sails! Prepare for a stormwall, we’re riding that storm!” Calls of the affirmative rose across the deck, teams gathering, lines being manned. The crew was bright, the sea was clear, the storm lay on the horizon. Adhara turned to the water, glancing below. The rumors called the creature a monster, a beast, a kraken who brought luck. But she had seen him. He was beautiful, and he swam below them now, just beneath the shimmering waves. Light glinting off his scales. Kelp wrapped around his limbs, wings propelling him through the water as sure as hers led her through the sky. She smiled down at him, and turned back to face the storm. No storm could ruin her now. Not with her guardian nearby. He was no ordinary sea beast. No, he was her’s. Her Kraken of the sea.
