TOPIC | Kalma Clan - Plague Arc Synopsis
This is a synopsis for the Plague Arc, for those who don't want to catch up on the Kalma Clan lore without reading the actual story. The actual story can be found here.

Chapter 2
Qubine found a Lightning egg while scavenging. It contained a Fae male who was named Dugan.

Chapter 3
Qubine found a Gladeswalker cape and gave it to Azalea, a female Fae in the lair who was suffering from the disease. He also paid a visit to his own mate, a Spiral named Shayla. He attempt to leave some insects for her, but Shayla felt too lethargic to eat. He also found a Shadow egg, which contained a male Guardian, who was named Kladeos. At this point, Qubine was growing frustrated with the lack of females to breed. The Gladekeeper offered to take Azalea under her care, and try to relieve some of her plague symptoms to allow her to breed with Coco.

Chapter 4
When Coco, Kladeos, and Dugan were grown, Qubine decided that it was time for them to start training. The three entered the Coliseum and battled their way through the Training Fields and the Woodland Path, and then entered the Scorched Forest. Unfortunately, on September 15th, Dugan was killed by the monsters. Coco and Kladeos retreated, and have been waiting for a replacement healer. They built a makeshift coffin using all the wooden planks Qubine had found and took him to the Gladekeeper's lair. With her help, they buried Dugan and paid their last respects.

Chapter 5
Qubine found an Earth egg while scavenging. It contained a Mirror female, who was named Anesia. However, the clan was still without a healer. The Gladekeeper offered to take Azalea under her care and try to restore her strength so she could breed. Her first attempt failed, however. When Coco laid eyes on Azalea, he was instantly smitten due to their similar colors.

Chapter 6
The Gladekeeper continued to treat Azalea, but still no success. Coco noticed that Kladeos was wearing a Fiery cape, similar to the Gladeswalker cape that Azalea was wearing. Luckily, Qubine had a spare Gladeswalker Cape in his junk pile, so Coco put it on proudly.

Chapter 7
Kladeos took Anesia to visit the Tidelord. Since she was still a hatchling at the time, he felt uncertain of the idea of breeding with her. The Tidelord showed them some previews of Anesia as an adult, as well as what their potential hatchlings would look like. He also showed them some previews of the pair with various genes. Kladeos was quite pleased with the hatchling possibilities and was looking forward to breeding after that.

Chapter 8
Coco still waited impatiently for Azalea to be able to breed, but the Gladekeeper still wasn't having any luck. He had carved out a tombstone for Dugan, and the dragons flew over to his grave to place it there.

Chapter 9
Still no luck in healing Azalea. However, the Gladekeeper encouraged Coco to visit with her, so they could become acquainted before they breed. Coco returned with a romantic red rose to declare his feelings for Azalea, and they began to talk. Meanwhile, Qubine found a Plague egg in the Woodland Path. Kladeos suggested tossing it out of spite towards the Plaguebringer, but Qubine pointed out that there were plague dragons within their lair that were sick from her disease as well. The egg hatched, containing a Guardian female, who was named Corinna.

Chapter 10
Corinna proved to be eager to fight the other dragons, even before she grew up, but Qubine stunned her with a chunk of ice. As the dragons went to the nesting grounds to put her to bed, they got a surprise. Anesia had grown up.
"You might want to put her down for a nap." – Qubine, after knocking Corinna out.

Chapter 11
The Gladekeeper had finally succeeded in restoring Azalea's strength so she could breed. She and Coco went straight to work, laying three eggs in their nest. The other dragons left them alone. The Gladekeeper warned that there was no guarantee that the hatchlings would survive, but Azalea was determined to face it.
"It's a chance we'll have to take. Otherwise, we'll never be able to rebuild our clan." – Azalea, as she prepares to breed.

Chapter 12
Corinna grew up, but confronted Qubine about her name. Qubine let her choose a different name for herself, so she took the name Saphira. She was still eager to get into the Coliseum, but Qubine refused to allow her or any of the dragons to go without a healer. Saphira pouted, but waited.
"Ugh, I don't know why you gave me such a pathetic name." – Corinna, just before changing her name to Saphira.

Chapter 13
Coco and Azalea's eggs hatched. All three hatchlings turned out to be Faes, but only one survived. A male who was named Kincaid. Coco realized that he felt much more mature now that he was a father. The pairs feeling for each other only grew at that point.

Chapter 14
The clan discussed teams and healers. Azalea volunteered to become a healer for Anesia and Saphira, intrigued by an all-female dragon team. In turn, Coco vowed to keep their son safe in the Coliseum.

Chapter 15
The female dragons returned from the Coliseum, exhausted. They remarked about how strong the creatures were. Qubine warned them that the challenge would only get tougher as they progressed.
The hatchling, Kincaid, alerted the clan, leading them to Sabori's den. Her mate, Vaughn, had died from the plague. Sabori wishes to be buried beside him if she died.

Chapter 16
The time came for Kladeos and Anesia to breed. They decided to bury Vaughn first. Before the clan left, the Gladekeeper passed on a Water egg containing a magenta Fae (Malus).

Chapter 17
While Kladeos and Anesia were tending to their nest, Qubine shared some information about his old clan to his new clan. He revealed that Usha and Grim were the matriarch and patriarch, and that he had a mate named Shayla. Qubine then went scavenging, ordering the clan to stay out of the Coliseum until Kladeos and Anesia were finished with their nest.

Chapter 18
Out of boredom, Coco visited Kladeos and Anesia in their nest. Coco passed on what Qubine had shared about his clan. They decided to check on the other dragons, but Anesia stayed in the nest.
Qubine found a Light egg, hatching yet another male Fae (Amadeus).

Chapter 19
Coco and Kladeos saw Kincaid grown up and playing with the magenta Fae. Coco recognized him immediately. Kincaid revealed a Wind egg that Qubine had found. It hatched a lemon Mirror male. (Xander)

Chapter 20
The Gladekeeper awakened the clan, alerting them to a large loss of life. Kladeos once again left the nest to see what was happening. Scrambling, the clan found many more dragons dead from the plague. Kladeos net a Mirror named Kincarron, but his mate was dead. Kincarron asked the clan to check on his brother Rubrik and his mate Asizora. When Saphira reported four dead Spirals, Qubine feared for Shayla's life and rushed to her den, but thankfully she was still alive.
"You'll never lose me, Qubine. I love you." - Shayla, after hearing of the dragons' deaths.
On top of that, Kincaid reported that Azalea was missing. Qubine went to search for her, vowing not to return until he found her.
Kladeos returned to his nest, informing Anesia of what had happened. Anesia tried to cheer him up with the promise that their eggs would hatch soon.

Chapter 21
Kladeos and Anesia were excited when their eggs began to hatch...except for the fact that only one of them hatched. The other two were duds. The parents suspected that the second strain of the plague might have killed them.
Kladeos and Anesia report the birth to the clan. Coco assured them that one survivor was all they could have hoped for. Kladeos pointed out that Azalea had been infected, while both he and Anesia were healthy. The parents decide to name the hatchling Steele for his toughness.
"Still...we have a son. That is something to feel good about..." – Kladeos, regarding Steele's birth.

Chapter 22
While Qubine was away, the dragons attempted to keep an eye on all the hatchlings, but they were turning out to be a handful. Coco noticed that the magenta Guardian (formerly a Fae) was missing.
Saphira: "Perhaps you need another pair of eyes."
Coco: "Sure. I'll get a new set of eyes when you get rid of your mouth."
- Regarding Malus' transformation from a Fae to a Guardian.

Kincaid pointed out that the Fae had transformed while playing with a scroll, and Kladeos realized that he was talking about a breed change scroll. Coco left Kincaid to watch the hatchlings while the others looked for the magenta Guardian.
While Qubine searched for Azalea, he was ambushed by an unfamiliar group of monsters. They shot their bows at him, but Qubine fought them off easily. As the survivors fled, Qubine warned them to stay out of his lair.
Meanwhile, Azalea was being chased by the same beasts. She managed to camoflauge herself and hide under a log, successfully outsmarting them. When the coast was clear, Azalea came out, only to be cornered by a magenta Guardian in pirate apparel, naming himself Malus. He spoke of his desire to find a crew for his ship and take a voyage on the Sea of a Thousand Currents. And he wanted to take Azalea with him, despite her weakness to water.
"Flyin' be naught compared t' a good ole voyage on th' open sea, lass." – Malus
Fortunately, Qubine showed up. Malus confronted him, but Qubine easily put him in his place, and then brought both him and Azalea back to the clan.

Chapter 23
Azalea returned to the clan, seeing Kincaid grown up for the first time. She explained what happened, and then she and Qubine warned the clan about the Centaurs. Qubine collapsed from his wounds, so Kincaid offered to heal him. Kladeos also regarded Malus, and Qubine told him that he found Malus trying to kidnap Azalea. This sent Coco into a rage, vowing that he'd break Malus' bones if he tried anything with her.
Meanwhile, Amadeus had grown up, stumbling into Saphira with his blurry vision. Qubine fetched a pair of glasses for him. Amadeus had grown up prematurely thanks to a maturity scroll. Kladeos quietly remarked that the scroll had made him into an old man, but Amadeus' hearing was much better than his vision. Qubine was then summoned by the Gladekeeper.

Chapter 24
Upon reaching the Gladekeeper's den, Qubine received a Clown gene for Coco, a Tiger gene for Kladeos, and a Ripple gene for Kincaid, to recognize their achievements in their Coliseum challenge.
Meanwhile, Anesia, Saphira, and Azalea headed into the Scorched Forest to continue their challenge, running into the Centaur beasts that Azalea had warned them about. A Wintermane Bowman fired an Ice Bolt at Saphira, instantly killing her. Anesia began attacking the beasts in a fit of rage, until Azalea was struck with an Ice Bolt spell as well. Anesia regained her senses and rushed to Azalea's side. Azalea was alive, but critically injured. She begged for Anesia to save herself, but Anesia wasn't about to lose both of her companions. She took Azalea and fled from the Scorched Forest, while the Centaurs roared victoriously.

Chapter 25
Anesia and Azalea returned to the clan to report Saphira's death. Qubine ordered the girls to get some rest while they formulate a plan to fight those beasts. Amadeus suggested gathering information on the beasts, to discover their motives and where they came from. Qubine agreed, sending both Amadeus and Malus to visit Tomo.
Coco paid a visit to Azalea in her den. She felt guilty about what happened. Coco tried to assure her that it wasn't her fault, but admitted that Saphira had it coming, because she had always bitten off more than she could chew. Coco then offered to take Azalea somewhere safe, where they could be alone. They went back to the Nesting Grounds, where they bred two more eggs.
Malus grew impatient, waiting for Amadeus, when the Gladekeeper announced Coco and Azalea's nest. Kladeos remarked that Saphira would have made a good mate for Malus. Then Amadeus showed up, finally ready to go to Tomo's.

Chapter 26
Malus and Amadeus arrived at Tomo's post in the Marketplace. Tomo easily recalled that the Centaurs were living in Sornieth before dragonkind was born, and that they were rising again to take back the realm. She then warned them of other species that were rising: the Serthis, Harpy, Maren, Longneck, and Talonok. Amadeus requested more information, so Scribbles gathered some scrolls, which had nothing to do with the beasts. Tomo apologized, having trouble locating their records. Scribbles then brought out a Plague egg, and Tomo told him to get rid of it. Amadeus offered to take it back to the clan. With that, he and Malus left the Marketplace.
Back at the lair, Xander grew up to become a really friendly dragon. After the introductions, Malus and Amadeus returned with the Plague egg, where it began to hatch. Out came a dark bodied Fae with bright red eyes. The dragons decided to name him Beryl, for his red eyes.

Chapter 27
Coco and Azalea's second nest hatched, only for the babies to be stillborn. They mourned the loss, but Azalea was glad to have the time to rest. They reported back to the clan, and Kladeos and Anesia introduced the newly grown Steele. Kladeos and Anesia relayed the information that Amadeus and Malus had gotten from Tomo. They also reported that Amadeus, Malus, and Xander had begun their Coliseum challenge.
Amadeus, Malus, and Xander were battling monsters in the Woodland Path when they spotted a creature up ahead. Malus started to attack it, but Amadeus stopped him. Xander realized that the creature was a dragon hatchling of an unknown species (Orphne). They agreed to bring the hatchling back to the clan, hoping that Qubine would know about it.

Chapter 28
Anesia and Azalea resumed their Coliseum challenge, with Steele replacing Saphira. They encountered the Centaurs once again, and Steele was struck with an Ice Bolt, crippling him. When the others went to check on him, Azalea noticed a crackling energy nearby. She investigated it, discovering a Lightning egg. The Centaurs began to attack again, but Qubine showed up, taking them out with ease. When the Centaurs fled, Qubine ordered Azalea to heal Steele. Qubine then warned Steele to know his element if he was going to survive. Then they all left the Scorched Forest, bringing the Lightning egg back with them.
When they returned, Amadeus, Malus, and Xander showed off the hatchling they had found. Qubine recognized it as an Imperial hatchling, but found it odd that it was found in the Coliseum. The Lightning egg from the Scorched Forest then hatched another male Tundra. Qubine was once again frustrated at the abundance of male dragons. Azalea suggested that the Gladekeeper could try to heal another female from the old clan, as she had done for her. Qubine agreed, then went to visit the deity.

Chapter 29
Kladeos and Anesia patched up Steele's wound and clarify what Qubine meant by "Know your element." The parents explained about Nature's strengths and weaknesses. Steele left to take a walk around the lair, despite Anesia's protests. Kladeos realized that Steele really was living up to his name.
Steele approached Xander exploring the apparel hoard. Xander found himself quite fond of the green apparel, as it matched his Wind element. Steele voiced his dislike of his Nature element, which surprised Xander. When Xander finished dressing himself, Steele started looking for something that suited him. Xander remarked that his blood-stained bandages looked good on him. Steele then added some bloodscale greaves and bracers to finish his look. He couldn't wait to show his parents.

Chapter 30
Xander, Amadeus, and Malus returned to the Coliseum. They were doing well, taking out the biggest threats before they could attack. Then they ran into two Centaurs and a Crowned Bonepriest. Malus and Xander took out the Centaurs first, but then the Crowned Bonepriest fired a Bright Bolt at Xander, fatally wounding him. Malus finished off the Bonepriest, and he and Amadeus brought Xander back to the lair. Amadeus attempted to heal him, but he just wasn't responding. The other dragons came to see what was happening, and Azalea offered to help with the healing. Coco noticed how Malus was gawking at Azalea while she focused on her healing. Azalea and Amadeus grew exhausted, realizing that their healing was futile. When Steele came to Xander's side, he spoke his final words.
"I'm free...like the wind..." – Xander's final words.
Once he was dead, Qubine finally came to see what was happening. He didn't need the others to explain that he was dead. He ordered the dragons to give Xander a proper burial.
Furious, Steele demanded to know what killed Xander. Malus told him what happened, Steele vowed revenge and took off from the lair. Unable to stop him, Qubine ordered Anesia and Azalea to go with him to protect him from the monsters and his own rage.
Back in the Scorched Forest, Steele confronted the Bonepriest that had killed Xander, and killed it easily with a Leaf Bolt. Steele wondered how it had killed Xander when he had killed it so easily. Anesia explained that elements were a factor: Light was strong against Wind, but weak against Nature. Steele then realized the meaning behind Qubine's warning. With that, the three completed their challenge in the Scorched Forest to make Xander proud.

Chapter 31
Steele paid a visit to Xander's grave when Kladeos approached. Steele admitted that he came to appreciate his element after all, thanks to Xander. Xander had been proud of his element, and Steele admired that, even if he couldn't quite be as proud. Kladeos told Steele that he was proud of him.
"Xander was a Wind dragon...and he was proud of it. I don't know if I can be as proud as he was, but...at least I can appreciate my own element now." – Steele, visiting Xander's grave.
Malus approached Amadeus, proposing to finish the Scorched Forest without a third partner. Amadeus reluctantly agreed, under the condition that they leave as soon as things turn sour.
"Hold yer basses! You dare insult a dragon o' th' sea!? Avast when I'm speakin' to ye, mate!" – Malus
Anesia, Steele, and Azalea continued their training at the Sandswept Delta. Steele was struck with a Vile Bolt from a Serthis Alchemist. Steele knew that he was dying quickly, so he spoke his last words, apologizing for failing his parents. Anesia and Azalea fled from the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Amadeus and Malus successfully completed their training in the Scorched Forest.
The remaining dragons gathered back in the lair, where Anesia informed Kladeos of their son's death. Amadeus proposed the idea of fighting in pairs. Qubine agreed, advising to have pairs of one fighter and one healer.

Chapter 32
Malus and Amadeus trained in the Sandswept Delta for a while, but were forced to retreat. Malus was burned by a Scorpion. Coco informed them that Kladeos and Anesia had gone back to the Nesting Grounds. Amadeus and Malus discussed needing mates of their own, and Coco once again warned Malus not to try anything with Azalea.
Azalea was napping in her den when she heard a taunt about sucking her blood. At first she thought it was Malus, but soon realized that it was Beryl, grown up and wearing the Crimson Feathered Wings. Then the Gladekeeper summoned the dragons to visit her again. Kladeos and Anesia's second nest had hatched with three survivors out of four. They named their new offspring Ariana, Sterling, and Tyra. The Gladekeeper then decreed that it was time for Kincaid to breed with another female from the old clan that she had treated. She had chosen Anuvien to be the mate. Together, Anuvien and Kincaid had three eggs.

Chapter 33
Amadeus tried to study the concoctions they had obtained from the Serthis at the Sandswept Delta, but it didn't go well. Meanwhile, Beryl proposed the idea of visiting the Plaguebringer and asking her to remove the plague from their lair. Everyone except Malus opposed the idea. Malus threatened to tear the Plaguebringer a new hole, but Beryl didn't want any aggression towards her, as she is his deity. Amadeus questioned what they would do if the plan failed, but they wouldn't bother crossing that bridge until they came to it.

Chapter 34
Beryl was ready to visit the Plaguebringer, but Malus had a plan to coax the other dragons to follow them despite their earlier protests. Malus explained that if they kidnapped Azalea, the others would want to follow and rescue her. Beryl reluctantly agreed.
So Malus ambushed Azalea after she had checked on Kincaid and Anuvien's nest. The other dragons were drawn by Azalea's screams, and Malus taunted them to follow him to the Plaguebringer's domain. Coco, Kladeos, Amadeus, and Anesia took off to follow, but Kincaid stayed behind to keep an eye on the hatchlings, Merrick, Orphne, and Kladeos and Anesia's three offspring.
The dragons flew to the Scarred Wasteland and made their way through the lair of disease and decay, eventually coming upon the Plaguebringer herself. Beryl made his plea to remove the plague from the Gladekeeper's lair, but the Plaguebringer simply laughed at his request. However, she promised that the dead dragons would return to life when the Riot of Rot begins. Satisfied, Beryl thanked her, and the dragons began to leave.

Chapter 35
Qubine returned to the lair to find most of the clan gone. Only Kladeos and Anesia's three hatchlings were still playing, but Orphne had grown up. Qubine questioned her on the clan's whereabouts, but Orphne couldn't grasp what she had heard with her hatchling mind. She introduced herself, explaining that her parents had abandoned her. Qubine searched for the dragons some more and encountered Kincaid, who told him the truth. While Qubine was angry, he couldn't blame the dragons for wanting to save Azalea. However, he vowed to punish Malus, and Kincaid agreed that he shouldn't get away with what he's done to his mother.
The dragons returned, and Qubine confronted them, particularly Malus about kidnapping Azalea. When Malus relayed the outcome, it only angered Qubine even more. Qubine pointed out that the Plaguebringer could only revive dragons with her disease, in which case, they wouldn't truly be alive. He also pointed out that Azalea's plague had been aggravated from the exposure to the Scarred Wasteland. Malus was stunned by the revelation, and Qubine knocked him out with an Ice Slash. He ordered the dragons to take Malus and Azalea to their dens to rest and left the clearing. He then bumped into Merrick, who had also grown up. Qubine told him that he would hold a clan assembly shortly.

Chapter 36
Merrick and Orphne explored the lair and found Coco and Amadeus tending to Azalea's illness. Their magic wasn't helping her feel any better. Orphne decided to study the Serthis poisons to see if she could create some medicine, but Amadeus had blown them up in his own studies. Orphne requested for more Serthis poisons to be gathered. When the clan managed to get Azalea into a stable condition, Amadeus went to check on Malus.
Malus woke up, immediately concerned for Azalea's well-being. He revealed to Amadeus that he really didn't want to hurt her. Malus found Azalea to be beautiful, but denied being in love with her because she was already with Coco. Amadeus suggested for Malus to try to aid the clan, and then Azalea might forgive him.
When everyone had recovered, Qubine held his assembly. Kincaid was the last to arrive, as he was dragging his three newborn hatchlings, naming them Handel, Tenzo, and Aether. Azalea remarked that Aether looked just like Coco, making the latter feel old. Qubine placed a new rule, forbidding female dragons to enter the Coliseum until they've bred. Qubine also encouraged everyone to switch breeding partners to get a good mix of hatchlings. He then assigned Coco, Kladeos, and Kincaid to gather Serthis poisons for Orphne.

Chapter 37
Coco, Kladeos, and Kincaid battled monsters in the Sandswept Delta, but were frustrated with the lack of Serthis. They managed to obtain three vials of Serthis poison, but Orphne needed more. Anesia and Azalea volunteered to go by themselves. They encountered three different monsters. Anesia was slashed by a Storm Seeker, but then her life was ended by the Opheodrys Serthis. Azalea fled the desert in tears. She returned to the clan and informed Coco and Kladeos. Word spread quickly throughout the clan. Amadeus informed Qubine of the events as he returned home from scavenging. Qubine could only let out a disappointed sigh.

Chapter 38
Ariana, Sterling, and Tyra grew up, with the first two boasting about how gorgeous they looked. They rushed to introduce themselves to their parents, while Tyra struggled to keep up. Ariana and Sterling passed Merrick, who asked them about Tyra. Their disdain for their sister's pink color was quite clear. As they moved on, Tyra came out and passed Merrick. Merrick assured her that there was no reason to be treated any differently because of her color. Tyra moved to catch up with her siblings.
Ariana and Sterling find Kladeos and Coco. Kladeos immediately noticed their isolating Tyra. The siblings wanted to see their mother, but Kladeos informed them of her death. The siblings immediately wanted to avenge Anesia, but Kladeos warned them of Qubine's rule about female dragons, which enraged Ariana. Kladeos explained the reason for the rule, which brought the offspring to their senses. Kladeos then suggested that they try to find some apparel to wear.
Qubine brought home an Ice egg, hatching an obsidian Mirror with white wings (Lazarus). Qubine then requested for Azalea to join Malus and Amadeus in the Coliseum, since she was the only one left from her team, and the latter two needed a third member. Azalea reluctantly agreed.

Chapter 39
Ariana and Sterling fully dress themselves, once again hung up on their own appearance. Tyra couldn't find anything that interested her, and her siblings once again left her alone. Kladeos gave her the rose flower crown that had belonged to Anesia.
Ariana and Sterling showed off their apparel to Qubine, who couldn't care less. Tyra arrived, and the siblings scoffed at her flower crown. They were immediately silenced when they learned that the flower crown had belonged to their mother. Qubine scolded the siblings for insulting their mother, but Ariana scolded him back. Sterling dared Qubine to follow through with his ice bolt, and Qubine began to oblige, until Kladeos intervened. Kladeos warned that Qubine would attack if he were provoked, so he urged his children to respect him. Kladeos then took Ariana and Sterling for a long talk. Tyra stayed with Malus, wondering how she could be related to her siblings. Malus pointed out that the whole clan felt like a family. He then talked about entering the Coliseum with Azalea.
Amadeus, Malus, and Azalea battled the monsters in the Coliseum, until Malus took a powerful jolt of electricity from a Storm Seeker. The electricity kept pulsing through his body, rendering him unable to fight anymore. The trio was forced to flee, but Malus couldn't fly in this condition either. Amadeus instructed Azalea to fly back and let the clan know that they'd have to walk back.

Chapter 40
Coco, Kladeos, and Kincaid trained in the Forgotten Cave, but the monsters were proving to be quite tough for them. They decided to pull out before something bad happened.
Amadeus and Malus finally arrived back at the lair, where Orphne looked Malus over. She feared that his condition might never pass on its own, and may even cripple him for life. Qubine suggested sending messages to outside clans who may be able to treat his condition. He then presented Amadeus and Azalea with a Clown gene scroll.
Shortly after sending the messages, another clan came to pick up Malus. Before leaving, Malus apologized to Azalea for what he had done to her, and she forgave him. As he was carted off, Azalea remarked that she was actually sad to see him go.

Chapter 41
Kladeos finished his long talk with Ariana and Sterling, warning them that Qubine would severely injure them if provoked. Kladeos then urged the siblings to treat Tyra better, as there was no reason to treat her like an outcast. Once he was finished, Kladeos led them over to the Burial Grounds, where Anesia was buried, picking up Tyra along the way. To their surprise and horror, however, Anesia rose from the grave, reanimated but still lifeless. Quickly realizing that something was wrong, Kladeos shoved Ariana aside as Anesia attacked, slashing and biting her former mate. Ariana was soon bitten by her reanimated brother, Steele. Sterling got Steele away from his sister. But then Sterling was caught by surprise when Xander rose from the grave and bit him. Soon all of the dead dragons were rising from their graves. Since Tyra was the only one who hadn't been wounded, Kladeos urged her to get help.
The other surviving dragons had already heard the screams coming from the Burial Grounds. Tyra came out and informed them of what was happening. Qubine immediately led the clan into action.

Chapter 42
Kladeos and his offspring were still fighting off the reanimated dragons, but were beginning to falter. Anesia attacked again, but Qubine stopped her with a powerful tackle. Kladeos couldn't be happier to see him. Qubine suspected that the wounds from the zombie dragons could be infectious. When the other dragons arrived, Qubine warned them not to get scratched before taking on the dragons that matched his size. Orphne attempted to fight two reanimated Imperial dragons, but they nearly crushed her with their weight. Amadeus fired an energy bolt to aid her.
Azalea was then approached by the reanimated Saphira. Coco attempted to protect Azalea, but Saphira sprayed her putrid breath at him, choking him. Azalea refused to leave him, so she launched a fire spell at Saphira.
Kincaid finally arrived on the scene with his newly grown sons, Handel, Tenzo, and Aether. Aether immediately rushed in to battle Saphira, proving to be too quick for her attacks.
After knocking down the reanimated dragons, Qubine urged everyone to flee while they had the chance. Kladeos, Ariana, and Sterling found themselves impressed with Qubine's fighting ability.
Kladeos and his offspring collapsed in a safe place away from the Burial Grounds. Amadeus feared that the bites from dead dragons while a plague was running rampant were just infections waiting to happen. However, Orphne had an idea to use the Serthis poisons to treat the wounds. She had mixed some leaves into it to reduce the poisonous effects, while allowing a dragon's body to become immune to it. She treated Kladeos' wound, but decided to see if it worked before trying it on the offspring. In the meantime, the dragons cleaned and patched up Ariana and Sterling's wounds.
Just then, a Shale Thresher arrived to deliver a letter from Malus. They wondered how he'd react to the situation, knowing that he was part of the cause. The clan then realized that this was the fulfillment of the Plaguebringer's promise to restore the dead dragons to life.

Chapter 43
Lazarus was now grown up, and he came across a Plague egg as he explored the lair. The zombified dragons approached him, getting uncomfortably close. Qubine quickly rushed in to subdue the zombies, then asked about the egg. They introduced themselves, and then Qubine led Lazarus to the rest of the survivors.
Kladeos, Ariana, and Sterling were recovering nicely, thanks to Orphne's treatment. Qubine introduced Lazarus to everyone, then claimed that they would need his help to strengthen the clan. Qubine explained the Coliseum training and the breeding expectations. And then the Plague egg hatched into another male.

Chapter 44
Frustrated with the situation, Qubine decided to pay the Plaguebringer a visit himself. Qubine confronted her about her promise, asking her if she was satisfied. He promised her that they would overcome her disease. The Plaguebringer scoffed, but she admired Qubine's strength. She then granted him another Plague egg. Qubine took it back to the clan, where it hatched a female Fae.

Chapter 45
Kladeos, Ariana, and Sterling were now fully recovered. Along with Tyra, they found the reanimated dragons trying to eat small creatures, but were moving much slower than they had before. Tyra noticed that the reanimated dragons seemed to be in pain. Kladeos cautiously approached Anesia. Anesia moved slowly towards Tyra, with Kladeos ready to intervene if she attacked. Anesia sniffed at Tyra's flower crown. Tyra offered it to her, but Anesia turned away and began to leave, and the other reanimated dragons followed. Curious, the survivors followed them back to the Burial Grounds. To their surprise, the dead dragons crawled back into their graves and buried themselves. The survivors decided to help them with their endeavor. Anesia seemed to give Kladeos a look of acknowledgement when she was ready to be fully buried.
Qubine then decided to set up a few more Coliseum teams and breeding pairs. He assigned Merrick to breed with Ariana, and Beryl to breed with Tyra. Handel, Tenzo, and Aether formed a Coliseum team. Amadeus then read a letter that he had been writing to Malus. The Gladekeeper announced that Merrick and Ariana had five eggs. Qubine decided that they deserved a Boon of Fertility. They then heard that Beryl and Tyra had three eggs. Kladeos was proud of both of his daughters.

Chapter 46
Qubine delivered the Boon of Fertility to Merrick and Ariana, concluding that their hatchlings would be grown by the time Beryl and Tyra's eggs hatched. Ariana apologized about her earlier behavior. Qubine used the Boon, and the eggs immediately hatched. Two of the hatchlings turned out to be stillborn. The three surviving hatchlings were named Reiko, Kitty, and Brenna.
Handel, Tenzo, and Aether attempted the Coliseum, but quickly grew weary of the challenge. Azalea assured them that it would become easier once they learned a healing spell. They asked Coco about the Forgotten Cave, but Coco felt old by being called "Grandpa." So he and Azalea insisted that the grandchildren call them by their names. Kincaid warned his sons that they would need to take out the biggest threats as quickly as possible. He then pointed out that his team should return to training soon.

Chapter 47
Amadeus studied the battle stones and asked Coco, Kladeos, and Kincaid to try a new strategy. Kincaid took the Ward stone, to help defend against magical attacks. Amadeus and Azalea would try the stones once they gained a third partner. Coco couldn't believe that the others were missing Malus, but Amadeus pointed out that Malus' behavior had improved.
Coco, Kladeos, and Kincaid returned to the Forgotten Cave and had a much easier time. Kincaid used the Ward spell, and then took a hit from a Flame Bolt. He survived the hit and was able to heal himself. They finished the monsters and then returned to the clan.
When Qubine called for another assembly, Coco reported that his team had completed the Forgotten Cave, impressing the rest of the clan. Qubine was started to have faith that they would be able to survive the entire challenge. He admitted that he hadn't had much faith before, because many dragons have died, and their surviving partners are held back when that happens.
Qubine then revealed a Wind egg that he had found. The egg hatched a Tundra female with a slate colored body and wings. The clan was beginning to have hope now that they were increasing in numbers, but Qubine warned that the Plaguebringer could easily cut through them with her plague. He then dismissed the clan.

Chapter 48
Amadeus was keeping track of the dragons in the lair as well as the Coliseum teams. Ariana and Sterling approached him to ask if they could form a team now. Despite warning them not to isolate Tyra, Amadeus warns that the three wouldn't work together in the Coliseum because they were all physical dragons. So Amadeus suggested for Merrick to serve as the healer for Ariana and Sterling. Amadeus then listed the teams out loud, assigning Beryl, Tyra, and Lazarus for one team, and Reiko, Kitty, and Brenna for another. Ariana and Sterling excitedly went to find Merrick to begin their training.
Amadeus was then approached by the banana colored Plague Fae, who named himself Cirrus. Amadeus explained the Coliseum situation to him, but Cirrus would have to remain on the sidelines for now.
Coco, Kladeos, and Kincaid took a stroll in the marketplace to relax. Coco got excited upon seeing the new set of peridot flourished jewelry, believing it would make the perfect gift for Azalea. Kincaid was stunned, never seeing his father so excited before. Kladeos gently nudged him away from the marketplace.
"...Is that my father?" - Kincaid, seeing Coco's excitement for the peridot flourished jewelry.
Upon returning to the lair, Coco immediately sought out Azalea. He shooed Kladeos and Kincaid away, wanting to give the gift to Azalea privately. Azalea was very happy with the jewelry, and Coco was more than happy to put it on her. Azalea removed the Gladewalker Cape to put the peridot necklace on.

Chapter 49
Amadeus decided to write a journal, detailing some of the recent happenings. The other Plague Fae hatchling had grown, naming herself Katarina. Reiko, Kitty, and Brenna had grown as well. Beryl and Tyra had two surviving hatchlings, naming them Dahlia and Barlow.
Handel, Tenzo, and Aether were halfway through the Woodland Path, and Coco, Kladeos, and Kincaid were ready for the Bamboo Falls. Amadeus then wrote that Orphne would be ready to breed soon, and that he would be her mate.
The clan was getting sizeable now, but the Plaguebringer could easily wipe them out anytime. A difficult road still awaited each of them. Qubine had found another Water egg, hatching another Tundra female. Finally, Malus was still in the Wind clan, being treated for his condition.

Chapter 50
Beryl and Tyra returned to the clan with their hatchlings. Tyra got upset upon learning that Ariana and Sterling had begun their training, but Qubine explained the strategy of assigning teams. He then put her in the team with Beryl and Lazarus. He also believed that Lazarus would give them an edge against the Centaurs due to his Ice element.
"We will wait like bats hanging upside down in a tree at night!" - Beryl
Meanwhile, the slate Tundra grew up, naming herself Armada.

Chapter 51
Orphne showed Lazarus and Katarina the apparel hoard, and the latter two began to dress themselves. Katarina proved to be another vain dragon, finding blue silks to show her flare. Lazarus put on the ornate platinum armor and the white feathered wings. Katarina found the Sapphire Feathered Wings. Cirrus joined them and began to dig for himself, trying on the Pink Satin Tunic and the Pearl Necklace. He wasn't entirely satisfied, but saw nothing that would match his colors. Katarina left the apparel hoard, shortly running into Beryl. She was instantly impressed with his similar colors and apparel tastes, as well as his theatrics.
"I am the beauty who glows like the moon! I! AM! KATARINA!!!" – Katarina, introducing herself to Beryl.
The two immediately hit it off, wishing they could enter the Coliseum together, but Beryl already has a team. But they also wished to breed, wanting to hatch their own little terrors who glow like the moon.
Finally, Orphne was ready to breed, so she and Amadeus headed to the Nesting Grounds, only laying two eggs. Amadeus blamed his old age.

Chapter 52
Qubine called for another assembly, where Kladeos volunteered to keep track of the roll call while Amadeus was nesting. Qubine instructed Reiko, Kitty, and Brenna to begin their training as soon as possible. Dahlia and Barlow wandered into the meeting, and Katarina was stunned that Beryl had already bred with another dragon. Qubine dismissed the meeting.
As Azalea wandered through the lair, she was startled as Malus suddenly landed, fully cured of his paralysis. Malus noticed Azalea's new jewelry, believing that Coco was sappy. Azalea advised him to find a dragon to love and find gifts for them, and then briefed him on what was happening. Malus was eager to get back into the Coliseum, but they'd have to wait until Amadeus was finished with his nest. Coco and Qubine arrived to see Malus return. Qubine agreed that Malus could rejoin Amadeus and Azalea in the Coliseum.

Chapter 53
Malus was re-introduced into the clan. Reiko, Kitty, and Brenna had completed their training in the Woodland Path. Malus remarked that he, Kladeos, and Coco were getting old now that they had grandkids. Once again, Qubine warned of the dangers of the Scorched Forest.

Chapter 54
Handel, Tenzo, and Aether battled the Centaurs in the Scorched Forest. Aether was hit by an Ice Bolt, but survived the attack. Tenzo healed him, while Handel gathered his magic. The three lamented on how fast the Centaurs were. However, it was the Smoke Gyres who gave the brothers trouble, as one of them killed Tenzo with a Blazing Slash. Handel and Aether returned to the clan to report the loss. Kladeos marked Tenzo off the clan member list.

Chapter 55
Amadeus and Orphne's eggs hatched two healthy Tundra males. They introduced the babies to the rest of the clan, naming them Percival and Brahm. Amadeus was surprised to see that Malus had returned. Coco informed the pair of Tenzo's death, and Orphne could only hope that the others can be safe.

Chapter 56
Beryl and Katarina were excited at the chance to breed, but only ended up with one egg. Ariana, Sterling, and Merrick began their training in the Scorched Forest. They took out some Zeebas and Owlcats with little trouble. But then they ran into the Centaurs. Merrick instantly noticed their speed, urging his partners to take them out quickly. It failed miserably, as the Centaur Archer killed Sterling with a Vile Bolt. Ariana went to check on her brother, only to be killed by the Wintermane Bowman's Frigid Bolt. Riddled with guilt, Merrick fled from the Scorched Forest.
Upon reaching the lair, Merrick quickly found Kladeos and Tyra in a clearing and informed them of Ariana and Sterling's demise. Knowing the viciousness of the Centaurs, Kladeos wouldn't blame any of the dragons for what happened.
"Ariana and Sterling are not the first children I've lost, and I'm certain they won't be the last." – Kladeos, after losing two of his children at once.
Tyra was jealous of her siblings for being so close, and even dying together. She quickly fled in tears. Merrick approached Amadeus and Orphne and their hatchlings. Amadeus removed Ariana and Sterling from the clan list, placing Merrick on Handel and Aether's team.

Chapter 57
Reiko, Kitty, and Brenna returned from the Scorched Forest after Kitty took a rough injury. Amadeus suggested for the sisters to breed before training again. Kitty proceeded to breed with Aether, laying two eggs. Brenna then decided that Lazarus would be her mate, but Lazarus needed a few days.
Amadeus, Malus, and Azalea finally returned to their own training, successfully completing the Sandswept Delta venue.

Chapter 58
Now that Malus was back, the Gladekeeper awarded him with the Iridescent gene. Coco, Kladeos, and Kincaid blazed their way through the Bamboo Falls and began their training in the Waterway. They battled with two Sunset Lashers and a Scarlet Flycatcher. Kladeos was hit squarely with a Mana Bolt, but it was a Sunset Lasher that delivered the fatal blow. Coco tried desperately to coax Kladeos back to life. Kladeos thought of his loved ones one last time before he faded away.
"Kladeos!! Hold on, Kladeos! Look at me! Kladeos, look at me!!" – Coco, as Kladeos is dying.
Realizing that there was no hope for Kladeos, Coco killed the Sunset Lashers. He then left the Waterway with Kincaid, still in disbelief at the loss of his best friend.

Chapter 59
Qubine returned from another hunt, where he heard the news about Ariana, Sterling, and Kladeos. Amadeus proposed a strategy, using Ward and Bolster spells to help them defend against their enemies.
The Gladekeeper called the clan to visit her, and she presented Coco and Kincaid with their secondary genes, putting stripes on their wings.
Amadeus, Malus, and Azalea trained in the Forgotten Cave. Amadeus took a critical hit from an Ancient Fungus's Flame Bolt. Azalea quickly healed him, but Amadeus realized that the attack had knocked off his glasses. Malus and Azalea helped him search the ground for the glasses, but Malus accidentally stepped on them. Amadeus simply pulled an extra pair from his coat and put them on.
"What...ye mean ye had an extra pair th' whole time, ye old fart!?" – Malus, after Amadeus pulls a spare set of glasses from his coat.
"What, did you think that glasses grow on trees?" – Amadeus
"No, but they sure seem t' grow in yer pockets." – Malus

The three returned to the clan to learn that Lazarus and Brenna had bred three eggs.

Chapter 60
Aether and Kitty introduced their new son and daughter to the clan, naming them Ellison and Visia. Unfortunately, Beryl and Katarina's egg turned out to be a stillborn.
"But never fear! We shall breed again! Though we dance through the valley of the shadow of death, we fear no evil! Our beautiful terrors of the night will rise from the shadows!" – Beryl

Chapter 61
Lazarus and Brenna expected their eggs to hatch, but the Gladekeeper couldn't sense any life in the eggs. The parents opened the eggs to find that the hatchlings were stillborn. They sadly left the nest to report to the clan.
Meanwhile, Percival and Brahm were grown up and had already developed a love for science. They proceeded to "borrow" Malus, asking him where they could indulge in a world of knowledge. When Malus named the territories and their features, Percival and Brahm expressed a desire to explore all of them. Malus quickly took his leave and soon bumped into Amadeus.
"They blinded me with science." – Malus, after meeting Percival and Brahm.

Chapter 62
Merrick was overly concerned for Tyra, as she had lost both of her siblings and both of her parents. Tyra remembered him being nice to her when they first met. Merrick assured her that the clan would look after her. Tyra didn't mind that Beryl was now with Katarina, as they seemed more compatible with each other. Merrick admitted that he didn't harbor any special feelings for Ariana either. They had just bred out of necessity. Tyra felt like she was meant to be alone in the world, but Merrick assured her that he would be there for her, even if no one else was.
The clan was surprised to hear from the Gladekeeper that Merrick and Tyra had a three-egg nest.
"So Ariana dies, and Merrick goes to breed with her sister. Makes perfect sense." – Qubine, upon hearing of Merrick and Tyra's breeding.
Amadeus was surprised that Malus hadn't bred yet, but Malus was only interested in one dragon, who was already taken. Everyone knew that Coco would punish Malus if he tried anything with Azalea.
"I'm not interested in bein' killed by a chocolate chip dragon." – Malus
Amadeus informed Qubine that his sons had grown, and Malus made his fear of them known.

Chapter 63
Percival and Brahm studied the tablets of the land when they were approached by their parents. Amadeus left to train with Malus and Azalea, and Orphne informed her sons of the challenge. The Tundras would need a third team member, and who better than their mother?
Merrick and Tyra's eggs hatched three healthy babies. However, Tyra doubted her ability to become a good mother, not able to imagine the pain of losing them, as her father had lost his other children. Merrick suggested the idea of sending the hatchlings off to other clans.
Qubine called for another assembly. Amadeus reported that his team had completed the Forgotten Cave. Qubine then announced that the lair was getting rather crowded, and presented the opportunity for anyone to leave the clan if they so wished. Cirrus, Dahlia, Barlow, Ellison, and Visia decided to leave, and Merrick and Tyra decided to send off their hatchlings.
Finally, Qubine revealed an Earth egg, which hatched into a Tundra male (Griffin). Qubine then dismissed the meeting.

Chapter 64
Beryl, Tyra, and Lazarus survived the Scorched Forest, and Amadeus reported it to the clan. Reiko, Kitty, and Brenna had not yet attempted it. Amadeus made it official that Percival, Brahm, and Orphne would form a team. Katarina, Armada, and the Earth Tundra hatchling were still without a team. Qubine decided to keep them on the sidelines for now.

Chapter 65
The Earth Tundra grew up and dressed himself. He proved to be quite the charming gentleman, immediately flirting with Armada, and naming himself Griffin. He also expressed an interest in any other ladies that might be in the clan, but Armada pointed out that the clan was largely dominated by male dragons.
Meanwhile, Malus wanted to express his feelings for Azalea, but struggled to find a gift idea, as she was already covered with jewelry that Coco had given her. Malus eventually found a strange chest and brought it back to give to Azalea. Coco disliked the idea, not trusting Malus or the contents of the chest. Azalea attempted to open it, but the chest suddenly came to life, rocking and jumping. The chest then attacked, opening and catching Azalea by the waist. Malus pryed the chest open while Coco pulled Azalea out. Once she was free, the chest snapped shut, catching Malus by the talon. Malus slammed the chest against the ground and against trees, attempting to break it. When Qubine came to see what was happening, he shattered the chest with an Ice Bolt. Random trinkets flew everywhere. Percival and Brahm laughed with unsettling laughter, finding Malus' reaction amusing. Amadeus attempted to eat a leaf from the chest, only to realize that it was actually an insect.
Qubine examined a scroll from the chest and found himself transformed into a different breed of dragon that no one had ever seen before. The dragons suggested visiting the Gladekeeper to see if she knew about the chests and this dragon breed.

Chapter 66
The Gladekeeper informed Qubine that he's been transformed into a Nocturne dragon. She also informed the clan that the Shadowbinder had been sending all sort of mischievous tricks all over Sornieth, and that was where the strange chests had come from.
Qubine found a few more Nocturne eggs while trying to get used to his new form. He was uncertain about being a much smaller breed, but was relieved that his strength was unaffected.

Chapter 67
Qubine had checked on his ill clan members, but was uncertain on revealing himself to Shayla. He eventually conceded, as he couldn't hide from her forever. Luckily, Shayla still recognized him by his colors and genes. She had been worried when she hadn't seen him, and Qubine admitted that he should have told her sooner. He once again made his vow that the clan would overcome the plague.
Azalea woke up in the middle of the night, hearing strange noises. Coco couldn't hear anything, so he went back to sleep. Azalea went to investigate the noises, only to be taunted by feminine voices. She fled, using her fire to light her way. Malus came to her rescue, dousing the fires with his water attack. Azalea's pursuers revealed themselves to be three female Nocturne dragons. Amadeus, Percival, and Brahm recognized them as Nocturnes, disappointing them. The Nocturnes claimed that they were just kidding about eating Azalea. The dragons exchanged introductions, the Nocturnes naming themselves Nadya, Renelle, and Lexine. They also revealed that there were two other dragons following them, a Mirror and a Fae. Said Mirror and Fae finally caught up, the Mirror naming herself Halka, and the Fae naming herself Redda.
"I'm Redda. Because redder is better." – Redda
Qubine came out to see why everyone was up so late. He ordered them back to bed, while inviting the five new dragons to make themselves at home.

Chapter 68
Orphne trained Percival and Brahm in the ways of medicine, while successfully developing a more powerful potion to keep the effects of the plague at bay. They showed the potion to Qubine, revealing that there was enough to treat two dragons. Qubine knew which dragons to give the potion to, the first being Shayla. Shayla accepted her dose of the potion, but they'd have to check on her daily. Qubine decided to treat Sabori with the other half of the potion, because she had previously trained in the Coliseum before the plague hit, and would make a fitting replacement for Kladeos. Sabori also accepted her dose. With the little bit of potion left, Qubine decided to treat Azalea with it.

Chapter 69
Amadeus was rudely awakened by the commotion caused by the expansion of their lair. While the other dragons were working, the Nocturnes hit on Qubine, who quickly informed them that he already had a mate. Amadeus noticed that Orphne was missing, and the clan informed him that she'd begun training with Percival and Brahm. Amadeus worried because the Woodland Path was teeming with Nature monsters, one of Orphne's elemental weaknesses. Qubine pointed out that the Woodland Path monsters were too weak to use their elemental abilities.
In the Woodland Path, Percival and Brahm were thrilled with the adrenaline rush that comes with battling. Unfortunately, the Greenroot Janustrap was able to cast a Leaf Bolt, striking Orphne and injuring her. Percival and Brahm finished off the Janustraps. Then they began to eat the vines that had gotten stuck to Orphne's body. Orphne recalled the Woodland Path as the location where she had been found as a hatchling. Percival and Brahm were concerned about the Scorched Forest, but steeled themselves to survive.

Chapter 70
Katarina expressed her dislike of the Nocturne dragons calling themselves "Dragons of the night" when their colors didn't match.
"They call themselves 'Dragons of the Night.' They can't even call themselves 'Dragons of the Day'!" Katarina, jealous of the Nocturne dragons.
Katarina lamented to Beryl, who decided that whoever survived the Coliseum challenge would be worthy of their claims. Beryl then went on to boast that he, Lazarus, and Tyra had survived the Sandswept Delta.
Lazarus and Tyra reported their accomplishment to Amadeus, who also reported that Handel, Aether, Merrick, Reiko, Kitty, and Brenna had also passed the Sandswept Delta.
Sabori emerged from her den, finally well enough to move about again. The dragons greeted her. Sabori had already been informed of the Coliseum challenge, that she was supposed to join Coco and Kincaid. Qubine cautioned her about the Waterway, as she was a Shadow dragon like Kladeos.
Qubine went to check on Shayla, who showed no signs of improvement. Qubine decided to take her to the Gladekeeper to receive treatment.

Chapter 71
The Gladekeeper successfully restored Shayla's strength, so she and Qubine decided to breed for the first time in a long time. They bred five eggs, stunning the rest of the clan. They wondered if there will be any Nocturnes born. Nadya, Renelle, and Lexine wonder when they could breed, and with whom. Amadeus decided that Percival, Brahm, and Griffin would make suitable mates for them.

Chapter 72
Qubine woke up, discovering his scales covered in frost. He quickly realized that the Crystalline Gala had begun. Then their eggs hatched, but only two of them were alive. Qubine checked the other eggs; all five hatchlings were Spirals. He and Shayla took the two survivors to report to the clan.
Katarina screamed, noticing her scales also covered in frost. Beryl went to check on her, also covered in frost, but he liked how it looked on him. He also pointed out that Katarina's frost gave her a sort of glow. Katarina began to see her appearance in a new light. The other dragons checked on them, drawn by Katarina's screams. Griffin and Brenna also had frost on their fur.
Qubine and Shayla returned, introducing their new hatchlings (Gaheris and Krashos).

Chapter 73
The Plaguebringer had noticed that Qubine's clan had grown large, and were even thriving in the midst of her plague. She sent a Crimson Guardian named Decilla to infiltrate the clan and gather information. She was to single out the leader, any dragon who were skilled at fighting the plague, and any Plague dragons.
Decilla landed in Qubine's lair, quickly running into Redda, a Plague dragon. Redda introduced Decilla to the clan. Amadeus introduced himself, providing information that he, Orphne, Percival, and Brahm were fighting the plague, and that they would pass their knowledge to their grandchildren as well. Decilla admitted that as a Plague dragon, she had a fascination with diseases.

Chapter 74
Percival and Renelle only hatched one healthy baby, a female Tundra whom they named Irina. They went to check on Brahm and Lexine, who revealed only one survivor from their nest as well. They named their son Niclas. Griffin and Nadya came out, revealing that all three of their hatchlings were healthy. Griffin named them Garatia, Naxor, and Delana.

Chapter 75
Decilla attempted to hold a conversation with Qubine to gather more information on him. She falsely offers her assistance, but Qubine dismisses it, telling her to do what she normally does. Decilla was disappointed at his uptightness.
Amadeus led Decilla to Orphne's den, where she was getting to know her grandchildren. She then announced that she'd be ready to cure the whole clan soon. Irina and Niclas were grown now. Decilla asked about any other Plague dragons, and Amadeus only listed Redda, Beryl, and Katarina.
Decilla went to search for the Plague dragons, only to run into Griffin. He immediately flirted with her, and Decilla called him a flirtatious floof.
"Darling, I am the fluffiest flirtatious floof. Or the flirtiest flirtatious floof. Or perhaps even the fluffiest, flirtiest flirtatious floof." – Griffin
Decilla took off in a hurry, leaving Griffin to wonder why all the ladies like to play hard-to-get. Decilla then ran into Qubine, who had found another Fire egg. Decilla joked about having it for breakfast, which disgusted Qubine. The egg hatched, revealing a female Mirror with thistle scales and silver wings (Lilias). The Plaguebringer contacts Decilla, warning her that she was growing careless, and then demanded a report.

Chapter 76
Decilla reported the information she had gathered from the clan. The Plaguebringer recognized Beryl's name. She then ordered Decilla to convince the Plague dragons to return to where they belong. The Plaguebringer provided a sack for Decilla to contaminate the water.
Decilla returned to the clan, running into the grown Lilias. Decilla offered to introduce her to Qubine to gain the clan's trust. Along the way, they bumped into Beryl and Katarina. Decilla seemed intrigued by their theatrics. She then needed to finish escorting Lilias through the lair.

Chapter 77
Decilla continued her investigation, reading through Amadeus' notes. She read that Handel, Aether, Merrick, Beryl, Tyra, and Lazarus had passed the Forgotten Cave. There were still many dragons without teams, and unlike at the beginning of the plague, the clan now had too many healers. Decilla pondered how to eliminate Orphne, but was interrupted by Amadeus. He tells her about the Coliseum challenge, and Decilla ponders that she could grow strong enough to defeat Qubine.
Coco, Sabori, and Kincaid return from the Waterways, having finished their training. Amadeus provided Berserker stones for Coco and Sabori, and Scholar stones for Kincaid. The three were then introduced to Decilla, whom Coco immediately regarded as another Saphira. Sabori then revealed a Water egg that they had found. The egg hatches a female Mirror (Shyrza).

Chapter 78
Gaheris and Krashos were eager to start their Coliseum challenge. Qubine had high expectations of them, being his sons. He instructed them to speak with Amadeus about choosing a healer for their team. Amadeus chose Katarina to be their healer. The three Nocturnes were also eager to form a Coliseum team together, and Renelle volunteered to study magic, due to being the smallest of the three. Orphne, Percival, and Brahm returned, revealing that they had survived the Scorched Forest.
"Oh, nothing. Just proof that this old fool can't keep his records organized." – Amadeus, after shredding his notes concerning Orphne's safety.

Chapter 79
Merrick, Handel, and Aether encountered four Serthis in the Bamboo Falls. Merrick boosted Aether's speed with the Haste spell. The Opheydrys Serthis were successfully eliminated, but the Carmine Serthis fired a bright and powerful Mana Bolt, momentarily blinding Handel and Aether. They quickly realized that Merrick had been killed by the attack. Handel and Aether fled from the field.
Amadeus requested help in organizing his records, and Qubine suggested asking his grandchildren. Handel and Aether returned to report Merrick's death. Tyra overheard the news and screamed with rage and agony.
"Why!? Why does everyone I care about have to die!?" – Tyra, upon learning of Merrick's death.
Beryl and Katarina pondered what sort of nickname to give Decilla if she was planning to join their theatrics. However, Tyra appeared to drag Beryl to the Bamboo Falls to avenge Merrick. She left with Beryl to find Lazarus, leaving Katarina alone and stunned.

Chapter 80
Beryl, Tyra, and Lazarus battled the monsters in the Bamboo Falls. Tyra was determined to find the Serthis that had killed Merrick, or at the very least, find Merrick's body. After a rough battle with the Hainu, Beryl and Lazarus suggested retreating, but Tyra refused to budge.
"Why does it matter!? Merrick is dead! My parents are dead! My siblings are dead! Everyone I love is dead! Nothing I do will ever make a difference!!" – Tyra
They faced two more Hainu and one Fungalhoof Qiriq. They defeated the Hainu first, but the Qiriq slashed Tyra with a fatal Pestilent Slash. Beryl attempted to heal her, but it proved in effective. Tyra cried uncontrollably, recalling memories of her life as it faded away, while Beryl and Lazarus could only watch helplessly.
"Alas...the tragedy of Tyra comes to a tragic end." – Beryl, after watching Tyra die.
Irina and Niclas helped Amadeus organize his notes, while Katarina told Qubine about Tyra rushing off with Beryl and Lazarus. The latter two returned to report Tyra's death, and Qubine had suspected that it would happen. It was reminiscent of when Steele had rushed off in a rage after Xander had died. Qubine gave Beryl and Lazarus the option of waiting for a third companion, or continuing the training by themselves. They'd consider it.

Chapter 81
Reiko, Kitty, and Brenna discussed Merrick and Tyra's deaths. Decilla joined them, remarking on Reiko and Kitty's red colors, but singled Brenna out for being white. Decilla pointed out that dead dragons wasn't a big deal, because dragons multiply like cockroaches. The siblings pointed out that Merrick was their father, and they could never have another father. Brenna excused herself from the conversation and went to find Lazarus, who was sulking in his den. Lazarus confirmed that Tyra had cried herself to death, in physical and emotional pain. Lazarus never knew how much pain Tyra had suffered until that moment. Brenna admitted that no one really knew Tyra, with the exception of Merrick and Kladeos. She then suggested that she and Lazarus get away from a while. So they headed to the Nesting Grounds and bred a three-egg nest.
Reiko and Kitty were surprised at the Gladekeeper's announcement. Reiko suggested that one day Decilla would find a mate of her own.
"Don't look at me!" – Reiko, when Decilla eyes him as a potential mate.

Chapter 82
The Plaguebringer was angry that Decilla was stalling in her plans to spread the plague. The deaths of Merrick and Tyra did not please her, as they were not committed by Decilla. The Plaguebringer ordered Decilla to eliminate the clan now.
"Alas, poor Qubine...he's going to ha
