I need reviews for my little art store. I might just be being impatient, but I have had precisely
2 paying customers in over a
month, so I was wonder if there is anything I can change to make it more appealing! :'D I'm talking prices, layout, everything! What can I do to make my shop better? I just really want to draw and get some pixelated cash out of it, is that too much to ask?!
Here is the art shop in question.

zygon I think you should have a focus more on dragons, because that seems to be your strength. I also think you have too many small details that people have to figure out and add up like for different fins or apparel. I think you should just have a set price for headshots and a set price for fullbodies and whatnot. (I'm not saying this is what you have to do, just a suggestion) There's a lot going on and I think you need to narrow it down a little, because there's a bunch of jumbled information that feels unorganized to me. I think if you organized it more or made it simpler then it would work out more. I really like your dragon art style :3
Good luck selling <3

Oof, well that's unfortunate. c___c
Some (more) ideas:
- Make your images transparent. Most people want to put these in their dragons' bios, and the white backgrounds take away from that. If you can't make them transparent, just make the BG the same color as the dragon bio BG color so that it matches.
- Remove the color palette blobs from some of your examples. Remember, art shop examples are supposed to be your best work, and color palette blobs will make the picture look unfinished. They're fine for the reference sheet example, however.
- Add some human bust examples. I sorta agree with the above comment on your humans. If you plan on keeping humans, it might be a good idea to include a few face examples so that we can really see their faces. The examples you have right now are very tiny and hard to see.
Honestly? Art sales are so random that it can be hard to tell *what* will sell. It's feast or famine when it comes to art - either you've got so much demand that you can't fulfill it all, or you open shop and all you get are crickets. If you keep practicing and improving your examples, you'll get reliable sales eventually. Good luck!

AboveClouds Okay, thanks for your input!
1. Do you know of a good, reliable site or program for making images transparent? The app I use doesn't have it as an option :/
2. Huh, I wasn't aware that was a turn-off, I'll see about editing those out.
3. There is a reason there aren't any bust; I'm really not that great at humans lol. I'll need to practice before I really feel comfortable with just faces, but on the upside, those images do link to fullsize, which makes them a bit less blurry.
Thanks again :3

Strauss Hm, thank you for your insight. I do try to focus on dragons for commission, since I've been practicing them a lot longer, and apparently it show XD I've trying to do more human art to get comfortable with proportions and faces, but I'll continue to work on it. That whole fins and details thing was just a plug for an adopt shop I started a while back tbh, but I realize now it doesn't really fit there, and over complicates things. I've removed it, and hopefully that will clean things up a little.
Regarding prices, most shops I've seen have a added price for apparel or accents, so I'm going to keep that. Looking at it now, though, having the gem and treasure prices make it a bit cluttered. Do you think I should get rid of one or the other, since having that and my conversion ratio is a bit redundant?

1) What app are you using? There might be another app available for your OS that can make transparent images. Also, faux transparency is always an option!
3) If you're that unsure of your humans, you probably shouldn't offer them as a commission option. It might be better to practice with requests first (or you could practice in one of those "draw the character above you" threads).

AboveClouds Its called Tayasui Sketches. I just downloaded an update that sounds as though it might include transparency of some kind as a option. We'll see. And you're probably right about the humans, I'll consider removing them as an option.

I've... never heard of that app before.
If it doesn't work, theres always Pixlr!
https://pixlr.com/mobile
It's made by Autodesk and its free. Here's a tutorial:

zygon I think you should keep both currency prices on the art. It helps so people don't have to pull out a calculator.
