It -is- expensive, and the CD is understandably long, which are both the reasons I will not leave my beloved desert. As I was telling my roomies this morning - "My grandfather died here, and my father died here, and I'll die here, too. Right here. THIS SAME ROCK, MAN. WATCH IT HAPPEN. I DO THIS TO HONOR YOU, ANCESTORS!!"

I really wasn't sure between Earth and Fire when I joined. Fire won out for those ember-y eyes

I could never leave Shadow, haha. I mean I guess we get the short straw sometimes because almost EVERYBODY joins Shadow, but man... glowing mushrooms are my aesthetic. That, and half of my dragons would probably go blind in the sudden exposure to daylight... :U They're not used to that kind of thing.

I SEE WHAT YOU DID WITH EILIF
Also like lol I realize all of the other kids are like these kind, caring in their own way individuals while Melchior is this bitter lump of coal who doesn't really see Shula as his real mom
It's okay he will get better
But yo if Hodges tries to share positive feel good things about Shula, he is going to avoid him as much as possible
Wait how did Shula die anyways

Shula always struggled with her health. She was prone to grey outs and was known to have a heart murmur. Her circulation was often cause for concern, though no formal autopsy was conducted as the best thing to do with a dead imperial is funerary rites asap. It is guessed that she probably had a massive cardiac episode while she was heading out to tend her bees.
Hodges would know her as the clans blacksmith, though he often saw Ink and Paige for his specialized equipment. Shula's pieces were iconically beautiful, almost absurdly so, for the commonplace functions they performed. However, she was also Oakrest's flame enchantress. She supplied the Hunters (like Hodges) with clothing and equipment that could summon fire, as fire is known to be very effective against the undead.

Wow
It's some kind of ironic that Adhara is a water dragon then huh
A water dragon with health problems
-screams-
now that you mention undead though, I'm pretty sure I have a necromancer in the clan. GUESS WHICH DRAGON IT IS because I have like eight candidates for the position
Also I cannot stop thinking of Hodges as Indiana Jones

I might have accidentally set up my clan for a three way civil war

Finally started hammering out my clan lore. I've been picturing the Ashfall Wastes as having some lush forested areas, because volcanoes usually have a lot of really fertile land around them. So that's how I see things. Anyway, I started writing a short little thing for my clan info but then I got lost in making a graphic for it for a few hours because the thing I do best is procrastinate.
Anyway, this is the little bit I wrote earlier, and the graphic also because I like looking at it haha.
"Located in an ancient, sprawling cave-system in the midst of a lush forest fed by the rich soils of nearby volcanoes is the true home of the Crownfire Clan, a semi-nomadic clan of dragons from varying flights who all know what it means to feel the searing glory of the Flamecaller within them. Comprised mostly of artisans, warriors, and marketeers, dragons of Crownfire are known for being equally friendly and enterprising. They welcome any and all among them whilst traveling, though dragons that don’t soon prove their worth are quickly and effectively shown the door."

edited to say- my clan actually has a clan name now, Crownfire rather than "Clan Macaroon," a temporary name that [s]I[/s] one of my Bogsneaks came up with.
Also, I haven't 100% written it all out yet, but they travel to different festivals to sell wares and perform on top of being warriors/etc. I don't know, it's a mess.
