“Fantastical Stories”
“To be a dreamer of a far-off land
Intercepting the radio waves
Honed in to the frequencies the Deejayer plays
To know the conflict and joys of the staves
To be a dreamer is a joyful thing
Deep below the sea or in the clouds
On the wing, curled in our nests
We dream of sweet nothings as we rest
For what is a world that doesn’t exist?
Fantasies reign and villains desist?
Realms that go on and hero’s amiss,
Dragons and spaceships, fairies and aliens.
The realms far away, intangible to us
Come to us, in imagination, on the air waves
Those that share these humbling thoughts,
The histories of lands far away
And those too embarrassed to join the fray
We believe what we will; “made up” stories are told
And while there’ll always be others that are never sold
Those realms DO exist, to some degree
For who doesn’t believe in fantasy?
And wherever you find your happiness
In this realm or in another
Doesn’t it often bind us all together?
Two pea’s in a pod, birds of a’feather
Lasting on throughout the harshest of weather
For that is what a story can do
I can’t tell a lie to thee, it is true.”

Hm . . . To be frank (honest; I’m Stephan! ^_^), I’ve been writing more poetry than lore or fanfiction this past month or so. I think it may be because I can write a poem in a snap, and boom it’s done, as opposed to stories that take focus and time to write. . . Hm.
