Looking around you see this is [i]not[/i] the Fire Clan you were supposed to have trading in. Crossing your claws, you hope the dragons inside will let you in. You hesitantly step inside; you've been looking for somewhere to stay the night. An [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=217967&tab=dragon&did=21899966]intimidating-looking Mirror[/url] stops you on your way inside and tells you to wait there. Seconds later a pair of Skydancers arrive. The Mirror whacks your knees to know for you to kneel and you obey. They are the leaders of the Union of the Golden Scales. The [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=217967&tab=dragon&did=5835861]older male[/url] studies you for a moment and nods to his [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&tab=dragon&id=217967&did=13772066]slightly irritated mate[/url]. After announcing your intentions, they graciously lead you to the Barracks. Even though the soldiers are glaring, you fall right asleep from your long journey. Waking up, you head to the Pavilion to eat your starting meal. Many dragons are chattering away, eating their food and don't notice you at all. A few dragons introduce themselves, and you get to know the [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=217967&tab=dragon&did=5835866]Botanist[/url],[url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=217967&tab=dragon&did=21000010] Actress and [/url][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&tab=dragon&id=217967&did=24290454]Messenger pair[/url], as well as [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=217967&tab=dragon&did=25101075]a lonesome Coatl[/url]. [i]This place seems nice,[/i] you think. [i]But I need to gather some supplies and get out of here, though.[/i] As you were trying to find your way to the Arboretum, [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=217967&tab=dragon&did=18819311]a shady Skydancer [/url]blocks your way. "Why. Hello there, child. Would you like me to lead you in the direction you need?" You quickly shake your head. The female's smile dips then drops even lower. Soon enough she is on the ground tearing up. She seems to have been through much pain, but since you have no idea what to do, you carry on to the Arboretum. After collecting all you need, you wave goodbye to the Union, promising to come back another day in the future to visit them. They passed away from a stray stalactite impaling them. Whether this was merely an accident or a planned murder, no one wanted to find out. May the gods rest their souls. It was up to Nasta and Atami, the oldest couple in Nevermore, to help reset the clan to its greater glory. After a long while of consideration they decided that moving would be best. As the two were mourned and dug a burial site among Nevermore, everyone agreed they needed a change. They were all now moving to Light. Moving to Light was the right choice. Once they nestled their clan in the bright flight, Nevermore started to feel like a dreary prison far, far, away. It is now located between the two columns right next to the shade of the yellow trees next to the river. It was a quiet clan at the beginning, no one knowing what to do. Many dragons were running into trees to escape the bright light while others just sunbathed. Atami took charge and made an unofficial meeting place near 'The Cave'. It was mandatory to attend. On an almost unanimous vote (a few hatchlings voted against it), the Clan was changed into a Union. And Golden fit as they were in light. The Scales was quite literally meaning dragon scales, and balance, order, and judgement. Thus, The Union of the Golden Scales was born. (The hatchlings still giggle and call it UGH, though) [/columns] [columns] [font=papyrus][size=6]A[/size][color=transparent]..[/color][size=5] N E W [color=transparent].[/color] A G E[/size][/font] ----- Nasta got right to work, putting jobs on dragons and collecting clean water. Lair designing relied heavily on the Skydancers and Imperials and hatchlings were expected to do work as well. Through hard work and heat-filled days, the empire was built. Nasta took the modest title as Founder, and Atami had no need to bask in the limelight as well. She crowned herself Advisor. As new jobs were assigned and there was work to do, everyone present had to be working. But finally, after weeks of toil, the Union was finished. Sure there were a few minor tweaks to work out, but it was gorgeous. The Council nearly cried at the sight of it and families started to settle into their new homes. A great feast was announced and everyone was invited to come. As it is called now, the Brightest Feast was incredible. Fireflies lit up the night sky, as if the Lightweaver was in their favor to enjoy their occasion. With tears welling in their eyes, a few brave travelers left to join Her and become Her Exalted Ones. It was a great honor to serve Her, but some had to stay behind and teach their clan and teach them the ways of Her greatness. And maybe when they're grown up and ready, they will leave their nests to serve with Her. But all good times must come to an end. Once the Feast was over there was still work to do. Even the Council couldn't not admit that. After three more exhausting days, a day of rest was announced. No working, unless you really wanted to (which meant of course Lakshimi, Zahara and Aurum continued on). Shortly after the day ended, the rebels attacked.
