Dear FR staff,
If you must update our beloved flight banners, please consider these far superior designs. Bear in mind that I am no artist, but these are merely conceptual ideas that are meant to encapsulate each flight in a single emblem.
Superior Flags

Let me go on to explain my decisions when designing these epic flags.
Arcane - When one thinks of the Arcane flight, they think of astronomers and space. What better symbolizes space than aliens?
Shadow - Shadows are the absence of light, and therefore have no color.
Light - The greatest source of light is none other than the Sun!
Ice - Real ice also has no color and is in fact transparent. This is difficult to get across, graphically, but I did my best.
Lightning - Why is Lightning's color teal?! It doesn't make any sense. :) Lightning appears white to the eye and usually only occurs during storms when the sky is dark. Though, I took a more liberal approach with the color of the lightning, since some artists creatively interpret it as "yellow" in color.
Water - The ocean is salty. This symbol, instead of a salt shaker, could also be interpreted as a trash can, which symbolizes the pollution and litter in the ocean. Both factual and thought-provoking. (Thanks to Sivan and DeltaDarklight for pointing this out! :)))
Fire - Ah, kindling. One of the best and most efficient fire-starters. Since dragons don't have modern technology like lighters or blowtorches, this seemed like the best "natural" representation of fire. :)
Earth - Self ex-planet-ory.
Wind - Since wind is also un-observable, we can best track it's movements through wind current maps. The arrows found on these maps, I feel, are an excellent representation of wind.
Nature - Why is it that when something dies, it is simply "taking nature's course"? Nature is obviously deadly and should be avoided at all costs. I've depicted their flag to say as much.
Plague - Plague: Infectious, messes with your head, once you have it, you die (in most cases).
Tumblr: Infectious, messes with your head, once you have it, you die (in most cases).
NEW! Beastclans - I feel that the beastclans aren't really "beasts", they're just struggling with their own internal conflicts. :))) Therefore what better way to represent the beastclans than with the internet's epitome of eternal struggle?? (Thanks to nootnoot5458 for the request! :)))
As you can see, I've put a lot of time and effort into pinpointing exactly what would best represent each flight. :) Any feedback is welcome! :)))
FR staff, if you're reading this, please consider these as alternatives to the new update! I'm sure everyone would be much happier with these flags, as they are more tailored to each flight, and - I feel - are more aesthetically appealing than the flags we have now.
EDIT: Due to all the positive feedback, I've decided to post each flag as an individual image to commemorate #FRflagupdate2k16 or for any purpose you'd like! Please spread the word about #superiorflags so we can make a difference! :)))
