Getting a weird error while Coli grinding on my phone, where an error message pops up with over the screen with some variation of a 'server/client mismatch' message. Happens only on my phone and not my laptop. It only happens sometimes, like once every 10 minutes or so, and is very annoying when it requires a refresh to fix, but it isn't completely gamebreaking. Still thought I should report it though since it's a very weird error.
Device: iPhone 7
Operating System: iOS 10
Browser: Mobile Safari, not sure how to check which version
Connection Type: Multiple wifi connections (home Comcast, Universtiy Wifi). Haven't tested mobile data yet
Games Socket: Alternate
FPS: Usually 60, doesn't dip too far from that.
Ping: Usually 15-30, sometimes a bit more but not enough to really notice.
Here's an example of the error, which pops up before an enemy performs an action.
I've seen it happen with dragon's HP, enemy's breath, and dragon's conditions. Sometimes it only happens once in a round of enemy turns and seemingly corrects itself afterwards, other times it happens multiple times and gives the exact same error message each time (which leads to worse problems, more on that later).
After it happens, when I close the message a huge blue spike appears on the FPS tracker that's so large that it goes to the top of the coli's screen space, here's a before and after:
It's not too bad if it just happens once, but when it happens multiple times in a row during a round of enemy turns it completely messes up the turn order. It's tricky to show exactly what I mean in just screenshots, but I'll try.
When this happens, it somehow gives me the option to act when the tracker says it should be the enemy's turn, as shown by this series of shots taken in quick succession:
Happened again between these two shots but didn't get a pic of it, but you can see the blue spike from it and the fact that the second octoflyer has acted already:
Happens a third time, notice the weird change in the turn order between these two screenshots, it skips a turn that should belong to my dragon:
And now, it's giving me the option to act even though it should be the enemy's turn:
However when this happens it doesn't let me use some of my breath moves even though my dragon has enough breath to use them:
When I do use an action, it usually seems to mess up the turn order even further, skipping the turn of the enemy shown in the tracker and my dragon's next turn, which usually ends up giving the enemies a few extra turns to get some cheap shots in. Basically, the turn order is completely broken.
All these screenshots are from the Kelp Beds since I spend a lot of time leveling fodder, but I've had it happen in other venues and with different dragons. I can get more screenshots and test different things if you need me to.
