Same, I just experienced this same problem several times in the past couple of minutes.
EDIT:
I even clicked on the button several times and got a mixture of "no dragons fed" message versus a random amount having been fed. It was really strange.

Yes, I had more than enough food. I was able to eventually feed everyone by clicking on feed dragons later in the day. This was not a food issue at all.
This was a weird bug.

And how do you know that it's a bug? Was there no message at all? Did the popup tell you that some dragons went hungry? Did you convert food points at any point between the first time you fed them and the second time you fed them? If there was no popup, what happened? Just jumping to the conclusion that it's a bug isn't necessarily right, because there's a whole lot of other things that could have happened. You might even have fed right at the time where the site subtracts energy points (four times a day), so it looked like some dragons didn't get fed but they did, they were fed before the downtick and others were fed after.

I clicked feed dragons. That should feed all dragon. It always have, every single time I have ever done it. I have more than 5,000 of every single type of food.
This morning, I clicked feed dragons. It popped up and showed that some food was used. Then I looked at my dragons. Some of them had full bars, and some did not. I paged through my lair, and a random number of them had not had their food refilled.
I clicked feed dragons, again, some food went away, which I saw on the pop up. I clicked through my lair, and MORE dragons were fed, but still some were not fed.
I did this again, and again, MORE dragons were fed, but not all of them. Clicking the button did not feed ALL of my hungry dragons, even though I have more than enough food.
So, unless something has changed where now I have to click feed dragons multiple times to feed everyone in my lair, it was a bug.
I went back in an hour later and clicked Feed Dragons and the remaining dragons were fed.
I attempted this about 5 minutes after 8AM server time.

Okay, see all that detail you gave this time? THAT would have been helpful in the first place. THAT clearly illustrates what happened and how you tried to solve it. THAT gives us an idea of what is going on. Not just "some dragons weren't fed," because that could have any number of reasonable explanations. I suggested that it wasn't a bug because you weren't giving us enough information to prove that it was one. When you're reporting bugs, you have to give as much information as possible - it's how people know how to help you, or what to fix. It's also the first rule of reporting bugs, whatever site you're on.

I have over 10K points for each food type (25K for seafood since I have a lot of fish-eating dragons), so I know it definitely wasn't a matter of not having enough food. I had the same problems jadesymb described to you, although I actually hit the feed button several times and literally got a really weird combination of "No dragons fed." "65 dragons fed." "No dragons fed." "No dragons fed." "5 dragons fed." kind of a thing. It was really strange since it was actually giving me the message for when your lair doesn't need to be fed, but... it was really obvious they still needed food so it was like they just kept consuming from my food stores randomly.
I also glanced at one of my friend's lairs around the time and it looked identical in the issue (some dragons fed, some not). It seemed to have resolved itself though after a few minutes, but it was still pretty odd and definitely not something I've seen happen, aha. (And I've been on this site since 2013 + active every single day even if it's just to login to do dailies.) Strange! I guess it was just a hiccup earlier since both jadesymb and I fed our lairs so close to the food-tick-down time.

Feeding your dragons close to the "food-tick-down time" as you put it is the issue, and it's not a bug. Having all dragons lose their hunger at once right at the designated hunger time was causing major lag with the site, especially with the coli. So they (Mutron is the one I saw commenting about it) changed how dragons get hungry. And now instead of everyone getting hungry at once, they do so in blocks. So it appears you attempted to feed after one block went hungry, but before the next. So it kept having hungry dragons to show you as the next block went hungry. Try waiting a bit (as you said, the hour, but it likely takes less time) after the official feeding time before you feed your dragons, and you should be okay.
Edit: Here is the comment that Mutron made about dragons now getting hungry in blocks instead of all at once.

Oh wow! Okay, thank you so much for the source / updated information on their new feeding function! (It's really nice if it actually helps reduce server strain / lag. Ahhh.) I'll keep that in mind (when I'm online I like to feed my dragons as fast as possible aha, oh dear). That makes so much more sense now why that was happening! Thank you! C:
