Hello there! I'm Kadorix, but you can call me Kad. I got pulled into this site after Mara told me all about it. Now I'm addicted and dragging her along to a bunch more things (as if I didn't do that before for the last year and a half or so)! I'm in my mid twenties, dog lover, nerd, and chill person. I'm an avid roleplayer on the GaiaOnline website but also dabble in playing Pokemon, Heroes of the Storm, Town of Salem, and other games. Don't have as much time as I used to, but I still enjoy doing what I can to relax.
As far as D&D classes go, my go to is the Cleric class with a love for Lizardfolk races. I do have dreams to do an ankle biting gnome barbarian at some point, but I'll save that idea for another session. My favorite breeds of dragons are Mirrors and Coatls, and I'm a proud member of the Fire flight. Though originally Shadow, I needed a change!

What’s up? My name is Lady Meara, but you can call me Mara. I was pulled into Flight Rising by a good friend of mine, and thought I’d spread the love and pull in some other friends too (cough -likeKad-cough)! I’m also in my mid-twenties and I love kitties, musicals, and I’m pretty much always ready to fight (no-chill, if you will). I like to roleplay, but I also play a variety of video games and am always willing to talk about them / play them! My current obsession is Ark: Survival Evolved. I’m also addicted to the show Voltron: Legendary Defender.
My favorite D&D class is probably either Paladin or Rogue, and I’m particularly fond of Halflings, though one day I will play something a little more exotic, like a monstrous race or something. We’ll see, because those level adjustments can be brutal. My favorite breeds of dragons are Coatls and Skydancers, and I’m a new member of the Light flight (sorry Arcane, it wasn’t you, it was me).

Barbarian
"These barbarians, different as they might be, are defined by their rage: unbridled, unquenchable, and unthinking fury. More than a mere emotion, their anger is the ferocity of a cornered predator, the unrelenting assault of a storm, the churning turmoil of the sea." (D&D 5E Player's Handbook, pg. 46)

Bred in LadyMeara's Nest
Pricing: 35K treasure // 35 gems
Sporting red and purple skeleton warpaint, these dragons basically yelled “Barbarians” to us, from their tertiary gene to their breed. Being completely obsidian for both their primary and secondary colors, we found them to be intimidating. Paired with claws and wings made of the toughest metal, this power couple will be difficult to face. Due to their Wildclaw heritage, both are ready to brawl at any given moment to win an argument- “Might is right” in Wildclaw society, after all.
Bard

"The greatest strength of bards is their sheer versatility...Their spells learn toward charms and illusions rather than blatantly destructive spells. They have a wide-ranging knowledge of many subjects and a natural aptitude that lets them do almost anything well. Bards become masters of the talents they set their minds to perfecting, from musical performance to esoteric knowledge." (D&D 5E Player's Handbook, pg. 51)

Bred in Kadorix's Nest
Pricing: 30K treasure // 30 gems
We felt that dragon bards should be colorful, whimsical creatures of creative color explosions and charm. Between the glittering crystals and gems of Symphos and the variety of a palette his mate provide, we feel as though his passion for music and merriment will be passed on to his children. As for why a Wildclaw, well hey: Don't knock a bard until you see them kill someone through vicious mockery.
Cleric
"Clerics combine the helpful magic of healing and inspiring their allies with spells that harm and hinder foes. They can provoke awe and dread, lay curses of plague or poison, and even call down flames from heaven to consume their enemies. For those evildoers who will benefit most from a mace to the head, clerics depend on their combat training to let them wade into melee with the power of the gods on their side." (D&D 5E Player's Handbook, pg. 56)

Bred in LadyMeara's Nest
Pricing: 27K - 30K treasure // 27 - 30 gems
As “holy light” is often associated with golds and whites, we felt that these colors were very fitting for dragons that were to follow the path of the cleric. In addition to color choice, our choice in genes for the pair were also inspired by the way iridescence and a gem’s multi-facet cut both play with the light. We hope that these dragons will pass down the light’s blessing to their offspring!
Druid
"Druids revere nature above all, gaining their spells and other magical powers either from the force of nature itself or from a nature deity. Many druids pursue a mystic spirituality of transcendent union with nature rather than devotion to a divine entity, while others serve gods of wild nature, animals, or elemental forces." (D&D 5E Player's Handbook, pg. 64)

Bred in Kadorix's Nest
Pricing: 29 - 35K treasure // 29 - 35 gems
We chose these two dragons for the wonderful green shades they bring to the table. It really showcases the natural magic that druids harness and while earthy tones are definitely a part of druidic magic, the green is usually what people jump to (with forests, grass, etc.). The gold for the tertiary gene marks the magical, almost religious connection druids have with the respect they have for nature. The Skink pattern reflects the connection with nature, while the metal/alloy genes can be "stained" through the use of druidic magic to become special armors that function like metal for the druidic class.
Fighter
"Fighters learn the basics of all combat styles. Every fighter can swing an axe, fence with a rapier, wield a longsword or a greatsword, use a bow, and even trap foes in a net with some degree of skill. Likewise, a fighter is adept with shields and every form of armor. Beyond that basic degree of familiarity, each fighter specializes in a certain style of combat." (D&D 5E Player's Handbook, pg. 70)

Bred in LadyMeara's Nest
Pricing: Lace (27K treasure / 27 gems)
Runes (30K / 30 gems)
We had a hard time debating what fighters should look like. Would they be strong and bulky with neutral tones? Or would they be vibrantly colored like a house crest? In the end we thought there was one unifying color of fighters of all sorts: the steel they used in their weapon. Whether it's a sword, axe, or tipped arrows, silver colors seem to mark them. We decided our fighter dragons should be more like knights with metal plating and cooler colors. They have silver/gray colors with just a touch of blue to represent some sort of house colors and likely get along with our paladin dragons for their strength and nobility!
Monks were a difficult class to put together. What do you think of when you think of monk? At first, modest colors were what attracted us, but it was hard settling on something we really and truly liked and felt fit the flavor of a monk. Then sudden inspiration struck. A combination of ATLA and real life came together to help us decide on this inspired pair with their orange and yellow coloring (the colors being drawn from Aang’s typical garb) and the smoke tertiary that is reminiscent of burning incense used in Buddhist rituals. The breed choices themselves were also inspired- Imperials tend to have a “wise old man” feel to them, while Spirals are constantly moving, much like the “flow” of one’s Ki throughout their body.

While it's similar to the Wizards, we've opted for two differences: Wizards use their knowledge and experience to cast. Sorcerers are born with it. Our sorcerers here have magic running through their veins, present in the lace that covers their body like lifelines of magical energy. We've chosen Spirals and Pearlcatchers as our naturally wild magic due to the Spiral's never ending energy (much like nearly limitless magic of sorcerers).
