I cannot control what anyone does with these dragons. My hope is that these dragons will be going to a forever home, but if you cannot keep one or do not want them anymore, I will take them back and attempt to rehome them, you may try to do so yourself, or they may be exalted if you wish. [b]Selling your Offspring: I encourage all of you to advertise and sell your hatchlings descended from Cedric and Alder in this thread![/b] There is a pinglist for new hatchlings you can use, and I have a section with a bio blurb and a button or banner you can use for your hatchling's bios if you wish. However, ultimately, the offspring of your descendant are yours to sell or do with as you please! You can sell them in AH, post them in your hatcheries, give them away, whatever you want. Of course, I would like for all of the dragons to go to loving homes and have all of them go to people who will register them and keep the lineage going, but I cannot control what anyone else does and neither can you. [/color][/center] [center][size=5][color=#466353][b]Lineage Requirements[/b][/color][/size][/center] [center][color=#466353][b]Heritage:[/b] To be added to the lineage directory, dragons must have one parent descended directly from Cedric and Alder who are also registered. [u][b][NEW] Mixed Lineages:[/b] Please do not breed two dragons from my lineage, because this makes determining their generation a bit muddy. But breeding with other lineages is fine so long as it is okay with the owner of that lineage.[/u] [b]Genes:[/b] As long as the heritage requirements are met, any genes and colors are welcome! I would love to see what kind of diversity we can get in here! Again, I cannot control what you do, but I ask that descendants who are born with Filigree not have this gene changed for lore reasons. Anything else goes! For instance, because of Alder's backstory in which she's the first of her family to have Filigree (which they call a mutation) I am changing at least one gene in each of the offspring I am keeping. [b]Level:[/b] I do have a level requirement for dragons to be registered in the Lineage Directory. They must be level 5 to be registered. If you do not feel that you can take the time to do this and really want to participate, please reach out to me and I will work something out with you. I don't want this to be a barrier to participation. The level requirement is to symbolize a small fraction of the experience your dragon will gain during their life adventures and it is an opportunity for you to bond with them. Cedric was found in an abandoned nest. While his adopted parents and a few members of his town accepted him quite well, he was treated poorly by the rest because of his strange new Filigree pattern. He eventually ran away to escape the humiliation and lived alone. Alder was the first in her family line to be born with the Filigree gene. They called it a "mutation" and insinuated that she was a monster. She abandoned them in order to explore Sornieth, learn more about magic, and find others who looked like her. After they met, they decided to continue Alder's mission together. They would find during their travels that their Filigree allowed them to store excess magic, and served as a conduit that allowed them to access elemental energy around them more easily. It also allowed them to use sources of elemental magic and cast elemental spells that did not align with the element of their birth. The two of them raised many hatchlings together over the course of time, and while all of their descendants became great at using magic, only those with the Filigree retained the traits Cedric and Alder were most known for. The first nest is here, and I finally feel like I have written enough to give the project a start!

There are four hatchlings listed in my Dragons Available post that are available for adoption. There is an adoption fee, and I may lower or raise this for future nests depending on interest and demand and such. Normally, I would simply ask that you ping me, tell me what you want your dragon to be named, and I will initiate a two-way Crossroads. However, for the first batch, I want to do something slightly different!

If you can give me a name for your dragon, an idea for their lore, and an outfit idea, I will waive the adoption fee!

I will also offer to hold the dragon until they can be leveled and level/register them myself before sending them to you, whether you choose to simply pay the adoption fee or come up with lore for them. I will not be doing the leveling myself as a normal thing for future nests, but I want to make it as easy as possible for those of you interested in helping start this up!
