15195962p.png x Apologies for my wife, she's a bit uptight about her files. I wouldn't suggest looking at anything she hasn't permitted you to however - she really is the system. But we do have a lot of kids who are looking to see the world. It's not good to keep them holed up here for too long. Perhaps one will take a liking to you.

Determining factors of a hatchling's characteristics
All children between Crisis and Consoleglitch have at least one power, either Shade or Code. Below will break down what characteristic their children will have based on their genes and colours.

Shade Powers: Shade arms, ability to manifest and control the Shade at minor levels. Becomes immune to further corruption. If they learn to control this, they can wield immense power and fight very strongly.

Code Powers: Short-distance rapid teleportation ("blinking"), ability to access and control any digital device remotely. If they learn to control this, they can command any form of machinery to their will.

On very rare occasions does one child retain both abilities at a very high level. The criteria below will decide what characteristics the child has.

Primary Deciding Factor - This is the major trait the child will have
Tertiary Gene
Shade Powers: Runes
Code Powers: Circuit

Secondary Deciding Factor - This is the secondary influence the child will have. Assuming it does not follow the Primary Factor, the child will retain both abilities but be stronger in it's Primary. If it follows the Primary Factor, the child will become stronger at that ability, but is unable to learn its opposing ability.
Tertiary Colour
Shade Powers: Lead, Coal, Oilslick, Black, Obsidian, Eldritch, Midnight, Shadow, Blackberry, Mulberry, Plum
Code Powers: Grey, Smoke, Gloom, Shale, Flint, Charcoal, Thistle, Fog, Mist, Lavender, Wisteria

Primary and secondary colours and genes have little influence. Eye colour has little influence on ability, and influences elemental alignment instead.

They were capable of mimicking other forms of life and were designed to search for a new intelligent species to mimic and interact with, in hopes of passing on the knowledge they contained. It was my duty to protect and serve, even if at the cost of my own life. So it is no surprise that when I heard of a missing hatchling within the clan, I had to look for her. Out in the middle of the Ashfall Waste, in one of the darkest corners not touched by the warmth or light that fire brings, I found the hatchling.... and a fragment of the Shade. The corruption itself is inherited by most of our kids seeing as how it takes to dragon bodies easier than the Code does, but it is far less severe than should the Shade attack them outright. This grants most of them some degree of Shade powers, and I'm proud to say most of them put them to good use. But still, having such powers comes with some degree of being shunned by society, deemed as dangerous, but I'm sure my kids will power through it. Being born with Shade blood makes them immune to further attacks, but they might fight the corruption within themselves every day and learn to live with such dangerous power if they want to use it for good. In some very rare cases, a child retains powers from both me and my wife, usually leading to a very potent and dangerous power within one small body if not handled right. So far we've had few children like that, but we expect those numbers to grow in the future. They can break reality and transcend boundaries unknown to the rest of dragonkind, wielding immense power and responsibility.

We have a list of people interested. Do join our list if you want to be pinged for our nests. It is a first-come-first-serve thing. We will ping the number of people corresponding to the number of eggs in that nest. When pinged for the hatch, you will have 24 hours to respond before we ping the next person. If you do not indicate interest/disinterest, you will be pushed to the next nest. So if you are not interested and DO NOT WANT to be pinged further, please let us know or we will continually ping you every nest. We have a nest every month. Crisis needs a bit longer of a break than I do. Please make sure you indicate which flight you're interested in having our hatchlings in. We will only have Shadow or Light eyes, unless either of us moves flight.
