You can use that information as a basis for expanding their character, a starting inspiration for their lore, a jump start to events in your own clan, whatever works for you. [b]Why not call it a hatchery?[/b] Because I don't breed most of these dragons, I buy them and then write for them! No set breeding pairs means more variety- if you don't see anything you like on one day, you can come back later and find something completely different. [b]If you want to buy dragon but not its lore, or just the lore but not the dragon-[/b] let me know! I'm happy to chop the price down and sell you just the part that you actually want.

These dragons are on the Auction House for a different price than the one listed here. Which price is correct?

I'd rather these dragons sell through this thread than on the AH, because that makes the new owner more likely to notice the dragon's lore before buying, so they're quite a bit more expensive on the AH than they are here. Don't worry! The price listed here is accurate, all you have to do is ping and/or CR me for them.



My dragon's letter mentioned some weird stuff about monsters, what's with that?

My clan, the Wild Orchard, has a lot of problems! Dragons who visit the Orchard's territory probably have a brush with beasts or angry supernatural threats of some kind on their way through. If you'd like to know more you can check out the summary in my profile.

Unfortunately there was little I could do for him in that department; I could have taught him how to use his own Shadow magic to hide them, if he had any, but he was born to Plague's persuasion instead. I could have enchanted him with my own magic, but that would wear off in a few days or so and he wasn't satisfied with the idea of depending on someone else to solve his problem again and again that way. He took the bad news gracefully, though I saw his jaw clenching up with frustration. Since I felt sorry that I couldn't manage what he needed I sent him to my mate Nissia and her skills in alchemy. She didn't have any potion recipes that would do exactly what ___ needed, but she did have some wisdom about what ingredients he might use to figure it out on his own, and I'm confident that if he keeps trying he'll have himself a camouflage potion all worked out that he can make for himself as often as he needs it. I just, ah, hope that what he needs it for is, you know, [i]above the board[/i] as it were. He didn't mention why he needs so badly to be able to sneak about unseen, and I certainly didn't ask. Please understand, I take my work very seriously. I thought my instruments were in utterly flawless working order. I had no idea. I was embarrassed at first, until _____ told me with a laugh that she's evidently terrible at the rest of the job. She can keep her telescopes in perfect shape, but when it comes to actually spotting stars and constellations through them she either forgets which ones she's recorded already or, even worse, falls asleep! I practically begged her to stay on as an assistant or work partner, but she insisted that she's looking for a clan that doesn't have a stargazer at all yet. Said that she won't ever learn to be better at the parts she's bad at unless she has to stand on her own. If _____ ever wants to stop by to visit again goodness knows she'll be welcome in my observatory. (For pity's sake, the cat even liked her.) I have to give _____ a lot of credit- when he heard rumors that our clan was struggling to fight off a lot of corrupted Lightning-element contraptions he came charging right, in despite the danger, to ask if we could use his help. The thing is... well... I can't blame him for panicking at the last moment. Old machinery gone wild is pretty terrifying. All jagged edges and squealing joints and eyes crackling with electrical ghostfire. _____ was all gung ho and ready to stand by us until he saw the first one coming- big thing that looked like a Silverbeast but made out of metal, dried blood clotting up the gears around its mouth- and I think that's the moment he realized he'd gotten in way over his head. He stayed and assisted in the takedown, helping me overcharge the thing with surges of Lightning magic, but he was quaking at the knees and all wobbly-voiced the whole way home after that. I wish him the best in finding his new home- I'm not sure if he's looking for somewhere to settle down and recover from the jolt to his nerves, or someplace he can fight to defend that just has... less freakish and terrifying monsters instead. I mean, enemy dragons, Beastclan attacks, all that sort of thing, I'm sure he'd be a great mage fighter if that's what he wants. It's a shame to see him go. He's certainly a pleasant fellow, and very patient with those of us who didn't understand his Coatl accent as clearly as we could have. I got the feeling that he really likes kids, since he kept giving our hatchlings warm little smiles whenever they ran past. Better luck with your next destination, friend.
