How long must it have been? You have seen nothing but the same starlike flowers for as long as you can remember. Is it even possible to leave? Was there ever even anywhere besides the Strand? You think you can remember a place, but it feels distant, unfamiliar. What is it like to look up and see real stars?
You catch a glimpse of your reflection in a pond. When did you change? When did you begin to look like the Starwood? Will you ever see anything else again? Is there anything else even worth seeing?
You don’t know how long it’s been, but you see the Crystalspine Reaches. After what could be minutes, hours, or days you reach the top of a mountain. Your wings and body feel stiff and heavy, if you had stayed for longer you may have become a tree yourself. But you look, and you can see the world, the Shifting Expanse, the Sunbeam Ruins, Dragonhome, all of it. And it has never felt any less familiar in your life.
