Clan Lodestar operates on the ancient Southern Icefield custom of hospitality to all who ask it. Any dragon who knocks at Lodestar’s door is welcomed in, no questions asked, and allowed to stay as long as they need. Waifs and strays, criminals, misunderstood, and misfits, all are welcome here.
Pear and Quince are a pair of wandering bards who travel wherever the wind blows and the sun shines. Sunsinger and Winddancer are the legendary heroes who travel throughout Sornieth, weaving music and magic to bring down all who would practice injustice and deceit. No relation between the two, Pear and Quince are quick to assure you. Their hatchlings often have a love of music, and strange quirks to their magic that match their unusual tertiaries: Green for luck, blue for soothing, purple for power, and black for rousing.

Bell and Adder are thieves and con artists, mostly reformed, they assure everyone at Clan Lodestar, don't ask about the lengthy and profitable trips to other regions they sometimes take, which occasionally result in other clans finding their treasuries less some gold and plus a mysteriously appearing hatchling. Bell is the clever face, and Adder is the taciturn muscle, and who knows which traits their children will inherit? Perhaps they'll be ne'er do wells like their parents, or perhaps they'll dedicate themselves to righting wrongs instead.

Tzadok is a guardian whose Charge is justice, and she takes the upholding of it very seriously indeed. Aldibain cares more for wealth and sophistication, and while the lady isn't his mate, he keeps seeking her out for trysts, to ensure his offspring will be as beautiful as he is. Tzadok finds it hard to resist when he quotes philosophy about righteousness and justice so eloquently. The Guardian hatchlings often take after their mother in that they find their Charge to be an abstract concept.

The Winter Court is reclusive and isolationist, ruled by the ice witch Borealis. Many of the dragons who dwell within it are different from those in the lowlands, having developed more beastial, even monstrous, features in adaptation to the harsh environs of the peaks. The dragons of her court practice strange, primitive magics, and very few are welcome within their territory.
Kai is one of Borealis' greatest creations, a living magical construct of silk and snow, created to serve her loyally. However, the magic that creates life is difficult to manage, and she has created a number of failures trying to replicate her success. Borealis allows nothing she deems imperfect within her court, and these failures are traded off to other clans, or unmade entirely.

Basilisk and Dulcamara are a deadly pair. Both of them possess unusually potent venom; Basilisk a caustic toxin that even sinks into his gembond and causes it to glow, and Dulcamara a subtler venom in her spines which she enhances with help from her poisonous pets. Their children are bound to inherit their parents' venomous qualities in exciting new ways. Each child is sent from home with an elegantly woven piece of silk, courtesy of their mother, whose weaving contains a hidden message for them should they be clever enough to discover it.

Tramontane is a wendigo, a monster possessed of aberrant ice magic and a terrible hunger for flesh. His offspring's mothers are an odd lot; elementals and snow spirits, lost travelers, wandering feral dragons, even other monsters like himself, who never seem to stay longer than a night, vanishing mysteriously and leaving behind only their eggs. Like him, his children are unusually large and fierce, gaunt and hollow-eyed, with unusual bloodlust. Perhaps they can be taught to overcome their primal nature, or will they join a clan that celebrates their ferocity?
Tramontane now has Peregrine instead of Daub. Breeding card to be updated. He is almost always bred to an irishim female, so his babies will be almost exclusively Viper/Peregrine/???

Some waters in Sornieth, deep and dark, lie outside the Tidelord's domain. The cold seas surrounding the Southern Icefield are some of the most dangerous, and the most mysterious. Leviathan and Siren are born of its deep waters, primordial and abyssal. Leviathan is a monstrous creature, with rows of serrated teeth and a fierce temperament. Siren is sleekly elegant but, like her lovely voice, her beauty hides something sinister and dark that comes from cold, deep waters. Their children bear the same stamp, whether they are hulking monsters with shark-like skin, or sleek needle-mawed creatures of deceptive beauty, but they all share the same unnatural call to the ocean's uncharted depths.
