Time passed, and Zephyrs returned to this land. Over the generations, the green hue left their bodies and were replaced with a golden appearance causing them to better blend with the famished landscape. This variant has been noted to be among the most passionate of any Zephyr- likely due to the Flamecaller's influence. Their passionate behaviors manifest themselves on the positive and negative spectrum. Some Dryland Drifters are obsessive, loving, and doting... others are angry, combative, or aggressive. At least 3 of the bolded criteria must be met and none of the new colors added are part of the bolded criteria. I've updated the cheat-sheet card to reflect the changes. Recently a new Variant of Zephyr Dancer has been discovered in the Windswept Plateau! The nitty gritty is: These Dragons can be registered for Official, Supreme, and Revered same as the other variants. They fall under the subspecies conditions (Legacy & Honorary for gene and/or breed changed dragons. Official/Supreme/Revered for dragons born with the proper colors and genes). To qualify, the dragons MUST be Maize/Goldenrod/Goldenrod in color. They can have a Cherub Primary Gene, Shimmer or Facet Secondary Gene, and a Okapi Tertiary Gene. Interested to learn more about the Lore of this new Variant? It is listed on the main thread and I will also post it below:

New Acceptable Secondary Colors: Goldenrod, Jungle, and Emerald
New Acceptable Tertiary Colors: Goldenrod

In an effort to help incorporate more different dragons into the Zephyr Dancer gene pool, the Legacy Registration Classifications have been altered to now allow dragons with Jungle, Emerald, and Goldenrod Secondaries to apply. Goldenrod has also been added as an acceptable Tertiary for Legacy Zephyr Dancers. The terms of the Legacy Registration are still the same. At least 3 of the bolded criteria must be met and none of the new colors added are part of the bolded criteria. I've updated the cheat-sheet card to reflect the changes. So if you're confused, perhaps viewing this card will help set it straight for ya!

8/18/15 Update: Due to the color wheel update, I wanted to note that any color that appears within the range of Goldenrod and Emerald will be considered acceptable for Legacy Registry. Any colors that appear within the Spring and Forest range will be accepted for Honorary, Official, Supreme, and Revered registry. More on that when the color wheel update is completed!

There has been some confusion about this recently, so I wanted to clarify. If you get a dragon that fits all the color criteria for a Zephyr Dancer, but is missing the appropriate gene(s) to qualify as an Official Zephyr Dancer... it cannot be registered as an Official Zephyr Dancer. It will instead be considered an Honorary (or Legacy) Zephyr Dancer. Just pick whichever placard you'd rather use for your dragon.

The exception to this rule is any Gen 1 dragon. A Gen 1 dragon may be scrolled and breed changed to make an Official/Supreme/Revered Zephyr Dancer.

I am not 100% sure what I'll end up doing with this post (I was hoping to do some spotlights on Zephyrs in the community, and will likely end up doing that eventually!), but for the time being, I wanted to list my personal breeding pairs due to the specific interest in them.
