When I refer to the "white range" and "black range", I am referring to two specific set of colours. [/center] [img]https://s33.postimg.org/egp5820ov/range01.png[/img] As [b]Obsidian[/b] and [b]White[/b] are the darkest and lightest colours on the colour wheel, they have a huge place in this breeding hub. As do [b]Orca[/b] and [b]Black[/b], as they both include dramatic contrasting shades of black and white, with the right genes. I have not included the grey range between Platinum and Charcoal because... well, let's be fair, they're grey, not black or white. If your dragon has any greys, then that makes them a Rook tier. More info on tiers down below. No tier is considered to be particularly superior to another, as they all have their own quirks and challenges for any breeder. In addition to this, for an extra challenge, if a dragon meets the right specifications they can be defined as black or a white chess piece. For example, a dragon might qualify for the King tier, but if they happen to meet the bonus criteria for that tier, (in the King's case, that would be Ice flight eyes, and that the prim/sec genes match, eg. ripple/current) then they can be classified as a White King. In this hub, both individual dragons and breeding pairs can be granted a tier. For a pairing to be granted a tier, 80% of their potential hatchlings need to qualify as that tier. In other words, the parents don't necessarily need to meet the tier requirements, as long as their babies do. So basically, if your ripple/current/underbelly dragon who qualifies as a King is paired with an iri/shim/circuit dragon with the same colours, then that pair still qualifies as a King pairing despite one parent not matching, due to gene rarity. If your pairing produces hatchlings of many different ranks, then that's okay too. There's no better or worse ranks here, really. As long as all of the pair's hatchlings meet any Black & White tier criteria, then they simply qualify as a B&W pairing. These dragons have solid clear colours with genes that aren't heavilly patterned, allowing the focus to be on colour alone. The difference between black and white should be stark and striking. However, if this dragon's pairing can produce hatchlings that qualify as B&W 80% of the time (that's four out of five hatchlings), then yes, you do qualify.[/indent] [b]Does breed matter?[/b] [indent]Nope.[/indent] [b]Is one tier better than the other?[/b][indent] Hell nope.
