But for those looking to become a certified TSUBA breeder, here are the requirements for your breeding pairs! There are 4 ranks of breeding pairs (and currently no ranks for individual dragons - sorry!) for TSUBA. [b]Rank 1[/b] A rank one Tiger/Shimmer/Underbelly pair is a breeding pair that will [i]always[/i] produce offspring that have Tiger/Shimmer/Underbelly guaranteed. This means that both parents must have all three genes. [b]Rank 2[/b] A rank two Tiger/Shimmer/Underbelly pair is a breeding pair that will produce offspring that have two of the three genes, guaranteed, with the ability to still produce the third (tiger/shim/x, tiger/x/shim, x/shim/belly). An example of a rank two TSUBA pair would be if you were to breed a Tiger/Shimmer/Underbelly dragon to a Clown/Shimmer/Underbelly dragon. However, a Clown/Shimmer/Underbelly with a Iridescent/Shimmer/Underbelly would [i]NOT[/i] qualify as a TSUBA pair, because the pair does not have the ability to produce offspring with Tiger at all. [b]Rank 3[/b] A rank three Tiger/Shimmer/Underbelly pair is a breeding pair that will produce offspring that have one of the three genes, guaranteed, with the ability to still produce the other two (tiger/x/x, x/shim/x, x/x/belly). An example of a rank three TSUBA pair would be if you were to breed a Tiger/Seraph/Underbelly to a Tiger/Shimmer/Crackle. However, a Tiger/Seraph/Gembond with a Tiger/Stripes/Crackle would [i]NOT[/i] qualify as a TSUBA pair, because the pair would not have the ability to produce offspring with Shimmer or Underbelly at all. Why don't those exist?[/b] [A] The ranks are used to notate how good of a chance of offspring the pairs have to produce Tiger/Shimmer/Underbelly dragons. However, for a singular dragon to qualify as a Tiger/Shimmer/Underbelly dragon, it has to be... surprise, [i]Tiger/Shimmer/Underbelly[/i]! There might be different badges for TSU Dragon of the Week or for different amazing colour-range TSU dragons in the future, but as it is now, there's obviously only one rank for singular dragons so it wouldn't make sense to make rank badges for them! [b][Q] Do I really have to have a hatchery to join this BA?[/b] [A] Yes and no. Yes, a hatchery thread is required. HOWEVER, if in place of a hatchery thread you instead have a website (like a weebly) or have all of your pairs listed concisely for customers to find, say, on your profile, then those are the exceptions.
