Welcome to the Snowbelly Hub! The purpose of this thread is to explain what a Snowbelly dragon is, how to become an official breeder, and to unite all those who love Snowbellies. :)
Snowbelly dragons are all dragons who follow a specific breed standard which will be explained below. Anyone with at least one breeding pair of Snowbellies can become a breeder.

Basic (Tier 3) Snowbellies
Basic Snowbellies are the easiest breed to acquire and have the bare minimum when it comes to standards.
Breeding Pair: Both dragons must match the criteria perfectly. They do NOT need to have matching tertiaries.
An example of a Basic Snowbelly pair:
- Breed: Any.
- Genes: Only Underbelly/Glimmer is required.
- Primary: Any color EXCEPT maize to orca.
- Secondary: Any color.
- Tertiary: Maize to Orca UNDERBELLY / GLIMMER.
Breeding Pair: Both dragons must match the criteria perfectly. They do NOT need to have matching tertiaries.
An example of a Basic Snowbelly pair:
Advanced (Tier 2) Snowbellies
Advanced Snowbellies require a little more work, and follow these standards:
Breeding Pair: Both dragons must match the criteria perfectly. They do NOT need to have matching tertiaries.
An example of an Advanced Snowbelly pair:
- Breed: Common or higher.
- Genes: Triple Gened (any genes).
An example of an Advanced Snowbelly pair:
Extreme (Tier 1) Snowbellies
Extreme Snowbellies are a harder and more expensive breed for a breeder to specialize in due to the specific criteria.
Breeding Pair: Both dragons must match the criteria perfectly, and they do NOT need to have matching tertiaries.
An example of an Extreme Snowbelly pair:
- Breed: Uncommon or higher.
- Genes: Gem-gene Primary / Gem-gene Secondary / Underbelly or Glimmer.
- Primary: Any color EXCEPT maize to orca.
- Secondary: Any color.
- Tertiary: Maize to Orca UNDERBELLY / GLIMMER.
Breeding Pair: Both dragons must match the criteria perfectly, and they do NOT need to have matching tertiaries.

Brilliant XYY Standards
Brilliant Snowbellies are the hardest and most expensive breed for a breeder to specialize in due to the very specific criteria. This breed requires teamwork with those from the Ice or Light Flight!
Breeding Pair: Both dragons must match the criteria perfectly, and they must have matching Secondaries and Tertiaries. (Yes, for a pair to qualify as a Brilliance Breeding pair, they must have the correct eye colors as well. Their offspring can be bred in any nest; it's the parents that need to match as a Brilliant Pair.)
An example of a "White" Brilliant Snowbelly pair:
Breeding Pair: Both dragons must match the criteria perfectly, and they must have matching Tertiaries and Eyes. Their Primary/Secondary have to be within a range of ten color shades. Example: pairing a ruby/ruby/ice with a strawberry/strawberry/ice.
(Yes, for a pair to qualify as a Brilliance Breeding pair, they must have the correct eye colors as well. Their offspring can be bred in any nest; it's the parents that need to match as a Brilliant Pair.)
A Fluke Pair is a pair that still follows any of the Snowbelly standards, except that one parent has a gene other than Underbelly or Glimmer. Both parents must still have a Maize to Orca tertiary; the hatchlings may or may not be born with underbelly or glimmer. That means that hatchlings are not guaranteed Snowbellies. Having only Fluke Pairs will qualify you for the Fluke Tier.
This example pair would qualify as high as an "Advanced Fluke Pairing", because their hatchlings can be guaranteed Advanced (and possibly Extreme like the mother), except that the male has Gembond instead of Underbelly.
- Breed: Limited or Rare.
- Genes: Gem-gene Primary / Gem-gene Secondary / Underbelly or Glimmer.
- Primary: Any color EXCEPT maize to orca.
- Secondary: Matches tertiary color. So x/white/white, x/orca/orca, etc.
- Tertiary: Maize to Orca UNDERBELLY / GLIMMER.
- Flight: Ice or Light eyes.
