Why are items undervalued compared to gems?
Some players have stockpiles of rare items. Though I value and want to collect rare stuff like anyone else, if I run into a situation where someone bids multiple Stone Borers, I’m going to liquidate all but one. That takes time.
I also want to make it easy to value rare items, since LAH fluctuates. You can trust the valuations I’ve put on these items to remain the same throughout the entire auction, even though they’re not worth as much as LAH.
Why is the treasure ratio so high compared to gems?
Three reasons!
Since gems are my baseline, and the most useful currency to me in the game, I regularly hike up my g:t ratio to 1g:1kt, which is higher than its normal rate of 1g:850t. I want to encourage gem bids.
I also want to keep the math simple to calculate, since I’m asking bidders to add up the values of their bids on their own.
Finally, as LAH values tend to fluctuate, so do g:t ratios. This auction will always value 1t at 1/1000th of a gem, and is not affected by the usual sitewide ratio.
Can I bid $USD?
I cannot accept $USD or any other RLC at this time. Sorry about that!
Can I bid items from other petsites?
Not at this time. I’m trying to keep all item and currency bids as closely relatable to gems as possible so that prospective bidders easily can see what each bid is worth.
What’s a unique bid, vs a unique bidder?
Unique bidders are players who place at least on bid in this auction. Every five players who place a bid grant 1 SP to the final auction package.
Unique bids are individual bids, and operate differently (bear with me in case this is confusing to explain).
If ten individual players all bid in a row, then 1 SP is added to the final auction.
If two players get into a bidding war and bid against each other multiple times, only two bids are counted towards the individual bid SP that is added. However, if eight other players besides the first two happen to bid after a bidding war, then 1 SP will be added to the package. Also, individual bids do not 'reset' the 10 individual bid train required for an SP to be added to the pool; they count towards the next string of 10 individual bids.
This is to encourage high rollers to allow more people to participate in the auction, and to keep bids rising in small incremental amounts. Hopefully it is fun, and I’ll be looking for feedback on this system.
Pings make me anxious!
This is a ping-heavy event, with forum pings from multiple people as well as myself. You may bid via PM but you will still be pinged by me when I put your bid into the thread, as well as by whoever outbids you. If you’re not able to handle pings this is probably not a great event for you, sorry about that.
By bidding you give me authorization to ping you during the event’s duration, such as when I need to make an announcement, such as an auction extension or the end of the auction itself.

Can I withdraw my bid?
No. All bids are final until outbid. Please only bid with intent to complete the transaction! Remember that if the final bid doesn’t go through, the auction will be extended for one week from the next highest amount.
Do you accept dragons or UM skins/accents??No. Both of those markets are what we would call ‘irrational’ and therefore difficult to convert into a static gem value, so let’s make it easier on everyone by keeping non-currency bids limited to what I’ve outlined and priced in my OP.

Auctions are a competitive forum game. Auctions can also become emotionally charged. Other players may outbid you, possibly multiple times, possibly into a price range where you’re not able to compete. Please treat other players with kindness and humor if you choose to participate in this game. Only one person can win the auction. And hey…if you lose, you keep your bid :)
I also reserve the right to reject bids for any reason, and that reason may be perceived as flawed because my judgement is only human. If I see a player being a jerk, well…I might be feeling a little human, if you catch my drift…
