When other beings see Gaolers, they think of massive dragons of old, imposing warriors who won’t hesitate to cut anyone down.
However, they’ve never met Rosie.
Rosie wasn’t a warrior nor did she ever cut anyone down. While her size was intimidating, she was a beacon of warmth and friendliness. She could never fit in Gaoler circles because of her personality; insulted, mocked and ridiculed for her refusal to join an order. To spare her fragile heart from anymore abuse, Rosie left her clan in search of a new one. While wandering the unique lands of Sornieth, Rosie had to adapt quickly to survive. Since she wasn’t much of a hunter, the Gaoler relied on her nose to pick out what plants were safe to eat and what were poisonous. By the time she made it to The Tangled Wood, Rosie was an expert forager. While frolicking in a field of flowers, Rosie met her. A pretty Pearlcatcher surrounded by a flock of bees. The Gaoler was enamored by the other dragon, searching through the vast field of flowers to pick the best ones and create a bouquet. The Pearlcatcher was frightened by her sudden appearance but the messy but vibrant bouquet made her smile. Rosie hovered around her as the Pearlcatcher— named Honeysuckle—worked with her bees, her presence close but not too close so she won’t disturb the busy creatures. After Honeysuckle was done with her business, she invited the Gaoler to her clan, the other members accepting her with open arms. To repay them for their kindness, Rosie often goes on frequent trips to meadows surrounding the clan area, finding the most succulent plants and flowers for the clan’s food storage. She and Honeysuckle got along rather quickly, the Pearlcatcher falling for her silliness and pure heart. Soon enough, the two were mated.
