No, don't back away now, he used to be insane. Listen to people when they speak. Shadowsheet had kind of a hard life. He was taken away as a hatchling to an entire new clan, with barely any dragons at all. It was quite sad, actually. He hid in his den all day, shivering under an old black sheet on a pile of charcoal. That was where he got his name. For a while he lived on charcoal and the occasional fly, hiding and skittering around. Nobody really paid attention to him, as nobody could get him out. As the months passed by insanity began to take hold of him. If you slept near him, you might hear maniacal laughter, screams, and the constant chanting of "BURN THE BONES!" even though nothing was there. Some were terrified of him. Polar tried everything - therapy, comfort, timeouts, even a bone mask as a small gift. He never took it off after that. Finally, when Polar had finally given up hope, Octavia swooped in. Shadowsheet was enamored by her beauty. He gave her gifts of bones, constant snuggles, and followed her everywhere, perched on her shoulder. Octavia was amused by this particular fan. She accepted his proposal to marry her, and they had two beautiful children. These children were probably the very things that made Shadowsheet click into place. Suddenly he had broken out of the prison of insanity - and into the real world.
